Why did Bush let the bin Laden family fly out of the US, when no other planes were flying, after 911? The Bush family and the bin Laden were personal and financial friends for many years. See Fahrenheit 911 for actual photos of the two families together. Bush is the one who loved and then betrayed bin Laden, not the other way around. We supported Bin Laden in his fight against the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. He saw the U.S. as infidels (this never changed whether we were helping him or not) and when we used bases in Saudi Arabia to force Iraq out of Kuwait, he saw it as infidels attacking Muslims, not a country liberating another country.
