Yes, I agree but the whole miscalculation by Geldhof of his own popularity and wit is typical of the man. His singing voice is the thinnest most strained sound of strangulation I ever heard in the 80's/90's too. He is as up his own bum hole as it is possible to be without the need for surgery.

I went to primary school with his daughters (Peaches in the year above me, Pixie in the year below) and so I met him nearly every day while waiting to be picked up. I was quite young (from age 6 to about age 11), but I spoke to him every now and then (not realising how famous he was - I just knew him as Peaches' dad) and while he was nice-ish too me, I could tell he had a nasty streak to him if he so desired.

It's actually "dining", that was kinda the whole point of the joke. Russell Brand is a quick-witted and intelligent comedian, the people who slate him are usually judging him on his appearance, his Big Brother stuff and the tabloid media's perception of him. There was no reaction from the audience, though. They were probably all stunned that Geldof was the same megalomaniacal (but brilliant) tosser that that he always was. Or maybe the joke wasn't that 'haha' funny. Either way, Geldof and Brand were actually both right, and I happen to like and dislike both of them.

What do you mean? the only time he's even talked about it that I know of were - 1) When he was asked about it and he said It was like Father Christmas calling me a cunt". 2) On Jonathan Ross when Ross brought it up, and 3) On Big Mouth, when there had been a story in the Daily Star about Geldof stopping Peaches from going to Ibiza in case Brand followed her.
