Right, if you watch the video carfuly instead of insulting her you wil see her position for walk, trot, and canter is fantastic perhaps she is better at flat work i am peronally better at flatwork.. so she may have not done but jumping because she preferes flatwork. When heading for the jump try and and slow your horse down as much as poss so you have a better seat for when you go up and come back down.. If you have too too 5-10 jumps in trot then gradually build up.. GREAT RIDING THOUGH! x

This video was taken 2 yrs ago, on a young horse that I had brought on and eventually made a lot of money from! I must have done something right for gods sake. He is now a fabulous jumper :P

just one thing. if you haven't done much jumping and neither has your horse then you should be learning on a horse who knows what they are doing. also.. i agree the music?? ...... bleck. chose something that doesnt sound like the a guy in need of some halls... or maybe a glass of water....
take thi as helpfull critiseism (sorry i cant spell lol)when you are cantering u lean far to farward your more likey to fall off if you lean farward in canter. so try to sit up straight to keep your balance and you won't rock farward! but you are doiing well to say you havent jumped that much! :D

Hi, im not trying to critise, just give a few tips.. it looks like, in your canter, your rocking with your upper body, your upperbody should be straigh, but not stiff and you should ride from your leg and seat.
and i would like to say...THAT YOUR HORSE IS GAWGUS! and is reallllyyy good for a five year old, esspecially jumping :D

Well for only 5 he looks really good at everything. Im trying to finish training my arab who is 5-what a mess lol! Both of you looked good over the second jump-keep it up cause you never know what you will acomplish! :)

I really enjoyed your video, It reminded me off the times I fell off teaching my horse to jump! youve just got to keep trying and in the end he'll now how to jump and youll know how to jump!!

aw, are you ok! The first time u fell off happened to me at summer camp hehe, the horse jumped an upright then stumbled like ur horse and i fell off the side aswell Hehe!! Beautiful pony!
I have a 5yr old horse I'm trying to train to jump too. He can only do a crossrail right now though. Anyway, your horse is beautiful and you look good on the horse.

What a cute horse! Great choice in music--my horse's videos always end up with metal songs too! :) Keep riding--it's the only way to get better! The only suggestion I would make would be to put more weight in your heels--it will help with the "pigeon" effect. (I had that too for a while!) Other than that, you two make an awesome pair. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. :)
Thanks, but sometimes it doesn't feel like it! lol, and I think my upper body looks like a pigeon at times, especially during cantering, I'm trying so hard now to sit up.
Lol. He looks like he has some draft in him. My friend used to ride a nice size TB and than switched to a draft and said it was so much harder to keep a pretty position on the draft because they are so big
His sire is a pure Arab suprisingly, but his dam is 100% cart horse, as wide as a house and very hairy!! I breed TB's as a job, but give me a draft to ride anyday :)
