the sensus shows that city like Colorado City and Hyndale, and other polygamy communities. take in 8 dallors for every 1 dollar they pay in taxes. That makes polygamy family a parisite in this country and a burden to the other Communities that have to support them.
The law of Abraham demands that the Kingdom of God be sought first. The polygamists were commanded not to organize in any way, but to wait on the One Mighty and Strong whose right it is. As it stands now, my House is a house of confusion, saith the Lord. Seek ye frist the Kingdom of God and its righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.

If the average American can't afford health care for their family or send their kids to university, how would a father of 20 do it? I'd like to see the average polygamist family, not the well-to-do ones.
I have no problem with consenting adults doing what they will in their private lives but I have to wonder at Bonratay's collection of videos. Most show affluent, attractive families I assume were chosen because of their money and visual appeal. I wonder if these sampled people are the average, or the exception. I can't imagine juggling three wives and twenty children would be easy or healthy without the bank balance to back it ...
Strangeranger, ATHEISTS like you, and satanists also, are the ones who use violence against their neighbors. They are the ones who wage war and kill. And they use Jesus or religion to justify their wars, but they are ATHEISTS. They dont believe in anything NOR FEAR GOD. "The fear of God is the beginning of Wisdom" says the Bible. Those who kill, ARE ATHEISTS. They DONT believe they will be punished, they dont get it! God is not among their concerns. But Christians do good to everyone. God Bless.
Strangeranger:As a christian, I wait until I find someone I intend to protect and care for, for life, before taking her as my wife. Instead, you, as an atheist, probably sleep with many and don't protect them nor support them nor care for them. As an atheist, you support homosexuality and call christians "homophobic". My daughters should be given pure into marriage, while your daughters (Unless God intervenes and shows them your unrighteousness) may sleep around like sluts, with your consent.
To end all doubts regarding the Righteousness of the God of Israel and his Messiah, Jesus of Nazareth, one must simply read the entire Bible (KJV), cover to cover. To become a christian you don't just obey constantine and get baptized, or just belong to a church. To become a Christian, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN, deny yourself, and Follow Jesus. You must read the entire Bible and be changed. Pray right now, that God, in the name of Jesus, may give you the grace to be saved. God Bless.
In Exodus 21 are the Old testament rules of consensual servitude, when a man could sell his services to another, FOR MONEY, for a retribution, CONSENSUALLY. In Exodus 21:16, God prescribed DEATH penalty to anyone who kidnaps someone to sell him as a slave. (Under Jesus in the NT we can't kill anyone, we are called to be harmless as doves, yet the principle stands, that enslaving is a sin worth death). Your claims are uninformed, you isolate verses but don't read the whole context nor understand.
Polygamy is CERTAINLY ALLOWED by the Bible. You dont need to be a member of the cult of the mormons, and MUCH LESS a muslim. MONOGAMY IS THE IDEAL, and set for KINGS (Old testament) and CHURCH LEADERS
(New testament). BUT POLYGAMY is allowed. IT SHOULD NOT BE USED TO MARRY A BUNCH OF BEAUTIFUL VIRGINS, But to marry women who are not married at an age theyshould be. Polygamy is like an antidote, against adultery, fornication. Christians, READ your entire Bibles! Dont neglect such a basic thing!
I agree with you wist0301. If they all look that beautifull I could live with only one of them. On the other hand: I agree with them. We are not to judge who is defiled. . . if you are without sin then you can cast the first stone.
I want to be serious about Christian freedom. Every person might have their own individual freedom, but being a Christian is to be under the freedom that Christ offers. To explain, the Bible says, use our freedom to give no occasion to the flesh (Gal. 5:13). Never in the preachings of Christ he ever mentioned letting Church leaders nor members to engage in polygamous acts. Read Titus 1:6-7. Therefore polygamy is not part of Christianity but a defiled doctrine.
If you truly want to find God, stop erecting huge thick walls of beliefs between God and yourself and others, for they only obscure and obfuscate (in all senses of the word) and lead you astray. There's not enough room in you for both God and beliefs. no one is saying that everything in the bible should be taken literally but people cant use the bible as a basis or right and wrong either. these people have the right to practice their faith its called the seperation of church and state.
YOU ARE WRONG! The Bible in the Old testament commands the DEATH penalty for anyone who enslaves others, who kidnaps them and enslaves them/sells them into slavery. The kind of "SLAVERY" The bible allows is more "CONSENSUAL SERVITUDE" in which I, OF MY OWN FREE WILL, CAN OFFER MYSELF AS A WORKER TO ANOTHER PERSON (BE HIS "SLAVE") IN EXCHANGE FOR A PAYMENT, like an amount of money, or an amount of land. PEOPLE ARE DEAD WRONG WHEN THEY SAY THE BIBLE ALLOWS "SLAVERY" TALKING ABOUT FORCED SERVITUDE
It's amazing how ignorant and naive you are. The fact is the U.S. had slaves for nearly 250 years thanks to your religion. xtians are very fond of saying this is a xtian nation. xtians have used the bible to justify slaves for ages. Jefferson Davis said "slavery was established by decree of Almighty God and is sanctioned in the Bible, in both Testaments from Genesis to Revelations."
1st, this is not a christian nation, although there is a higher degree of scripture knowledge than in other nations. 2nd. There was slavery all over the world, when there was slavery in the U.S. 3rd: What Jefferson Davis said matters not to me, what matters is what God in the Bible says.
What about this?: :And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death."
EXODUS 21:16. In order to reconcile this commandment against enslaving, and the allowance to let the young virgins alive, you must read the whole Bible, and understand the context. YOU are the one who would like to use violence to stop the polygamists, you are the one with violence in your repertoire of resources, I say let everyone in peace. Preach if you disagree.
"However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way. " Leviticus 25:44
Again, you are talking about consensual servitude here. The slave to be agrees to serve for a retribution. The Israeli who sold himself in this manner could be set free after seven years (for he was a citizen of the nation of God), while the foreigner who sold his services sold them for life. THIS IS NOT KIDNAPPING SOMEONE and selling him, which is what slave drivers did (Catholics and pagans begun this practice) among all the other nations. Indians, arabs, etc. did this.
Your claim that the slaves were consentsual is patently absurd.
Entire cities were razed. Women and young girls had their families murdered and they were taken as slaves. If you think that it consentual you are a fool.
Only young virgins were left alive, when Israel waged war against the pagan, wicked nations around it. Those nations would sacrifice their children to their gods, practise ritual sex and sacred prostitution, for these reasons it pleased God to destroy them, using the nation of Israel as His rod. Among all nations, when they made war, they raped the women, enslaved the men. But Israel is forbidden to rape them or to enslave the men. Jesus changes all this, speaks peace to the gentilesZechariah9:10
Yes I recognize that young virgins could be taken as servants or wives by Israel, after war (rather than rape them and kill them, which was the custom of the heathen nations, the custom of crusaders, the custom of muslims, the custom of blacks in africa, the custom of croats when they attacked serbians, etc). They were to not let the heathen alive not pact with them, to keep themselves pure. But this changes after Jesus, now we christians can not wage war but tell men to repent of their sins.
>But this changes after Jesus, now we christians can not wage war but tell men to repent of their sins.
So now you're claiming xtians don't wage war since jesus? Have you picked up a history book? What about current wars? Every heard of Cyprus or East Timor? How about Indonesia, Kosovo or Nigeria? Maybe you've heard of the Middle East?
If you consider Roman Catholics as Christians, you are off the hook. They wage wars and move governments towards wars. A christian should not join the police or the military. If you read the new testament, there is not one case in which an apostle uses violence, save peter, to defend Jesus, AND he was rebuked by Jesus for taking the sword. Jesus told him that all that live by the sword will perish by the sword. Constantine decrees all romans are automatically christians, and they are? YEAH RIGHT
can you cite any verse in the bible that says that jesus did not support it. and not a verse talking about the bodily flesh but rather find one about marriage. in the time that jesus lived it was a patriarichal society so i doubt you will find any
>can you cite any verse in the bible that says that jesus did not support it.
Jesus also supported slavery - assuming that he existed at all. The jesus story is too much like other ancient myths. So many details are the same. One was even a carpenter. But regardless of if jesus supported it or not it is still vile.
PLEASE quote the verse in which Jesus supported slavery. You are misinformed, my friend, and you have most likely not read the entire text of the Bible. Please quote the verse. The kind of "slavery" the Bible allows is a consensual servitude, a mutual agreement, with a retribution. FORCED slavery has DEATH penalty in the old testament, Penalty we can not apply today because Christ forgave us we can't kill anyone. But some who call themselves christians kill polygamists, even today.
>PLEASE quote the verse in which Jesus supported slavery. In Luke 12:47 Jesus recommends the beating of slaves. Jesus makes a very pro-slavery statement in Matthew 10:24-25. He tells slaves that they are never above their master. Jesus had a lot of chances to condemn slavery. He doesn't. Instead he supports it. And don't give me the BS that slaves were consensual. That's pure nonsense. They were beaten, abused, raped and murdered with no recourse.
In luke 12:14 He is telling a story, not recommending anything. Anyone can verify this by just reading the entire passage. And this story is a typo. We are the servants, and we will give account to God (the master) of what we do on earth. If we know what is right, and not do it, we will be punished. If we don't know, and we don't do it, we will be punished less severely. In any case, this is not recommending the beating of slaves, thats just a lie. In Matthew 10,He talks about us following HIM.
Amen. Still, Monogamy is the Ideal. In any case, the issue is to be solved and arranged by the parties in question, in America at least, where IT IS ILLEGAL FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO RESTRICT THE FREE EXCERCISE OF POLYGAMY. (Religion). Any government official doing it, must realize that He is breaking the Law of the land (constitution) and breaking the law of God (Torah, Old testament, and NEW testament, where we are not to live by the sword). Read entire Bible, then UNDERTAND Daniel 9:24-27
Yes she is very articulate. I bet she was coached very well. But tell me why she keeps fiddling with her hands underneath the podium? Is it because she's unsure of what she's saying?
Probably no more "coached" than 3 year olds who get up in testimony meeting and "bear their testimony" with the parent whispering the words into her ear--I know the chuch is twooo, etc, etc.
yeah those coached testimony's always made me mad. However for the last year they have anounced that we are no longer to do that. I don't understand this at all, the person on this vlog sounds educated, yet the claim is made that these women are ignorant. I think polygamy is really wicked but the marriages are not legal so why can't the women just walk away?
yes, but not actively so as per this last year. I know for a fact that the children often did coached testimonies and that then one glad day the members were asked to quit doing that so much.
Why would you say Polygamy is wicked when infact as members of the LDS Church we believe that in order to go to the Celestial Kingdom we must accept it first? Try reading D&C section 132.
so now I MUST ask are YOU LDS? If so then you know that within the walls of the LDS church it is not practiced. Yes it was decred to be something that would help people to get into the Celestial glory at one time, but a latter procaimation stated that the law must be upheld. I DO NOT have to hold to this so called doctrine nor do I have to uphold it in my heart as being a revleation since it was spoken against. It is wicked.
>you can not fault them because it happens in their society. when it happens in all societies
But it's obvious that this society is making it easier and more accepted. Take the lost boys from other flds groups for instance.
Not to mention all the old men married to very young girls. It's a setup. But that's what patriachal religion is about. It's no mystery. It's vile is what it is.
Now what do you think she would say if you asked "what about same sex couples shouldn't they have the right to choose who they marry too?"
Kingucktoad 1 year ago
When one embraces polygamy then they simultaneously are embracing the abandonment of the same number of boys and men.
If those entertaining "polygamy" want respect, then first you have to show respect for your entire families, that includes ALL BOYS AND MEN.

I think the man in this kind of relationship better have great leadership qualitites to be able to handle the team of wives and children.
I guess this experience would also make the man an excellent football team coach.

Therefore polygamy is not part of Christianity but a defiled doctrine.

polygamy is in the bible and was practiced during the time that jesus lived

>polygamy is in the bible and was practiced during the time that jesus lived
So was slavery. Does that make slavery ok? Maybe I should be able to sell my daughter. How much do you think she's worth?
TheStrangeRanger 3 years ago
You are correct about it.
glconcepcion2003 3 years ago
no one is saying that everything in the bible should be taken literally but people cant use the bible as a basis or right and wrong either. these people have the right to practice their faith its called the seperation of church and state.
brianna8535 3 years ago 2
>these people have the right to practice their faith its called the seperation of church and state.
Not when their faith breaks the law. It's called child abuse.
TheStrangeRanger 3 years ago
YOU ARE WRONG! The Bible in the Old testament commands the DEATH penalty for anyone who enslaves others, who kidnaps them and enslaves them/sells them into slavery. The kind of "SLAVERY" The bible allows is more "CONSENSUAL SERVITUDE" in which I, OF MY OWN FREE WILL, CAN OFFER MYSELF AS A WORKER TO ANOTHER PERSON (BE HIS "SLAVE") IN EXCHANGE FOR A PAYMENT, like an amount of money, or an amount of land. PEOPLE ARE DEAD WRONG WHEN THEY SAY THE BIBLE ALLOWS "SLAVERY" TALKING ABOUT FORCED SERVITUDE
davidbenjeshua 3 years ago
It's amazing how ignorant and naive you are. The fact is the U.S. had slaves for nearly 250 years thanks to your religion. xtians are very fond of saying this is a xtian nation. xtians have used the bible to justify slaves for ages. Jefferson Davis said "slavery was established by decree of Almighty God and is sanctioned in the Bible, in both Testaments from Genesis to Revelations."
TheStrangeRanger 3 years ago
1st, this is not a christian nation, although there is a higher degree of scripture knowledge than in other nations. 2nd. There was slavery all over the world, when there was slavery in the U.S. 3rd: What Jefferson Davis said matters not to me, what matters is what God in the Bible says.
davidbenjeshua 3 years ago
>1st, this is not a christian nation,
First, I didn't say it was. I said xtians are fond of making that claim and it's true.
>What Jefferson Davis said matters not to me, what matters is what God in the Bible says.
The davis quote was to prove my point. And your god says slavery is sanctioned. Your imaginary friend and jesus both approve of slavery.

TheStrangeRanger 3 years ago
Again, you are talking about consensual servitude here. The slave to be agrees to serve for a retribution. The Israeli who sold himself in this manner could be set free after seven years (for he was a citizen of the nation of God), while the foreigner who sold his services sold them for life. THIS IS NOT KIDNAPPING SOMEONE and selling him, which is what slave drivers did (Catholics and pagans begun this practice) among all the other nations. Indians, arabs, etc. did this.
davidbenjeshua 3 years ago
Your claim that the slaves were consentsual is patently absurd.
Entire cities were razed. Women and young girls had their families murdered and they were taken as slaves. If you think that it consentual you are a fool.
TheStrangeRanger 3 years ago
Only young virgins were left alive, when Israel waged war against the pagan, wicked nations around it. Those nations would sacrifice their children to their gods, practise ritual sex and sacred prostitution, for these reasons it pleased God to destroy them, using the nation of Israel as His rod. Among all nations, when they made war, they raped the women, enslaved the men. But Israel is forbidden to rape them or to enslave the men. Jesus changes all this, speaks peace to the gentilesZechariah9:10
davidbenjeshua 3 years ago
>The kind of "SLAVERY" The bible allows is more "CONSENSUAL SERVITUDE" in which I, OF MY OWN FREE WILL, CAN OFFER MYSELF AS A WORKER
That's absolute nonsense. Are you really that naive? Deuteronomy 20:13-14
"Whereas the men must be killed, the women and children are to be taken as the spoils of war."
Yeah.. That's real consensual. NOT. Your ignorance and rational is that of a brainwashed cretin.
TheStrangeRanger 3 years ago
Yes I recognize that young virgins could be taken as servants or wives by Israel, after war (rather than rape them and kill them, which was the custom of the heathen nations, the custom of crusaders, the custom of muslims, the custom of blacks in africa, the custom of croats when they attacked serbians, etc). They were to not let the heathen alive not pact with them, to keep themselves pure. But this changes after Jesus, now we christians can not wage war but tell men to repent of their sins.
davidbenjeshua 3 years ago
>But this changes after Jesus, now we christians can not wage war but tell men to repent of their sins.
So now you're claiming xtians don't wage war since jesus? Have you picked up a history book? What about current wars? Every heard of Cyprus or East Timor? How about Indonesia, Kosovo or Nigeria? Maybe you've heard of the Middle East?
TheStrangeRanger 3 years ago
If you consider Roman Catholics as Christians, you are off the hook. They wage wars and move governments towards wars. A christian should not join the police or the military. If you read the new testament, there is not one case in which an apostle uses violence, save peter, to defend Jesus, AND he was rebuked by Jesus for taking the sword. Jesus told him that all that live by the sword will perish by the sword. Constantine decrees all romans are automatically christians, and they are? YEAH RIGHT
davidbenjeshua 3 years ago
If Christ do support the teachings about polygamy, then can you cite any verse in the Bible that Jesus Christ or any of the apostles supported it?
glconcepcion2003 3 years ago
can you cite any verse in the bible that says that jesus did not support it. and not a verse talking about the bodily flesh but rather find one about marriage. in the time that jesus lived it was a patriarichal society so i doubt you will find any
brianna8535 3 years ago
>can you cite any verse in the bible that says that jesus did not support it.
Jesus also supported slavery - assuming that he existed at all. The jesus story is too much like other ancient myths. So many details are the same. One was even a carpenter. But regardless of if jesus supported it or not it is still vile.
TheStrangeRanger 3 years ago
PLEASE quote the verse in which Jesus supported slavery. You are misinformed, my friend, and you have most likely not read the entire text of the Bible. Please quote the verse. The kind of "slavery" the Bible allows is a consensual servitude, a mutual agreement, with a retribution. FORCED slavery has DEATH penalty in the old testament, Penalty we can not apply today because Christ forgave us we can't kill anyone. But some who call themselves christians kill polygamists, even today.
davidbenjeshua 3 years ago
>PLEASE quote the verse in which Jesus supported slavery. In Luke 12:47 Jesus recommends the beating of slaves. Jesus makes a very pro-slavery statement in Matthew 10:24-25. He tells slaves that they are never above their master. Jesus had a lot of chances to condemn slavery. He doesn't. Instead he supports it. And don't give me the BS that slaves were consensual. That's pure nonsense. They were beaten, abused, raped and murdered with no recourse.
TheStrangeRanger 3 years ago
In luke 12:14 He is telling a story, not recommending anything. Anyone can verify this by just reading the entire passage. And this story is a typo. We are the servants, and we will give account to God (the master) of what we do on earth. If we know what is right, and not do it, we will be punished. If we don't know, and we don't do it, we will be punished less severely. In any case, this is not recommending the beating of slaves, thats just a lie. In Matthew 10,He talks about us following HIM.
davidbenjeshua 3 years ago
We cant all be deacons or church leaders, who must only marry one wife. Some of us are made to keep large happy families. Up with polygamy.
injunkayldotcom 3 years ago

Is it because she's unsure of what she's saying?
crx172003 5 years ago
Probably no more "coached" than 3 year olds who get up in testimony meeting and "bear their testimony" with the parent whispering the words into her ear--I know the chuch is twooo, etc, etc.
DangMe2L 5 years ago
yeah those coached testimony's always made me mad. However for the last year they have anounced that we are no longer to do that. I don't understand this at all, the person on this vlog sounds educated, yet the claim is made that these women are ignorant. I think polygamy is really wicked but the marriages are not legal so why can't the women just walk away?
River2u 4 years ago
Are you LDS?
janilee7 4 years ago
yes, but not actively so as per this last year. I know for a fact that the children often did coached testimonies and that then one glad day the members were asked to quit doing that so much.
River2u 4 years ago
Why would you say Polygamy is wicked when infact as members of the LDS Church we believe that in order to go to the Celestial Kingdom we must accept it first? Try reading D&C section 132.
janilee7 4 years ago
so now I MUST ask are YOU LDS? If so then you know that within the walls of the LDS church it is not practiced. Yes it was decred to be something that would help people to get into the Celestial glory at one time, but a latter procaimation stated that the law must be upheld. I DO NOT have to hold to this so called doctrine nor do I have to uphold it in my heart as being a revleation since it was spoken against. It is wicked.

you are right but you can not fault them because it happens in their society. when it happens in all societies
brianna8535 3 years ago
>you can not fault them because it happens in their society. when it happens in all societies
But it's obvious that this society is making it easier and more accepted. Take the lost boys from other flds groups for instance.
Not to mention all the old men married to very young girls. It's a setup. But that's what patriachal religion is about. It's no mystery. It's vile is what it is.
