  • Awesome! I'd love to work there, I'm currently getting my Masters in Animation at University of Wales, Newport. I hope to visit the Aardman studios sometime.

  • mabty u can help me, how do u animate a ball being thrown as you cant keep a ball in mid air as u take the frames

  • This is hard to explain, use a string or even better, if you shoot the ball from the side, attach a rod to it and attach the rod to the wall. That way, if you shoot it from the side, you cannot see the rodd because it's behind the ball.

  • ahhhh thanks thats helped

  • You take one version of the animation without the ball, then take the exact same photo again but with the ball on a wire. You put the two into a program like photoshop; but on different layers. erase the wire so that you can see the layer without wire underneath. You have to do this for all the frames that have the ball in the air, but that's supposedly how it works.

  • ahh i thought it would be something like that thanks

  • @icychopstix the way Aardman do it is this... they take the frame without the ball, and with the ball being held by a crane type thing, then they blend the frames together and there you have it...

  • @roboface09 thanks

  • I rofl'd! xD

  • well done

  • awesome! that's really proffesional!
