  • I'm just wondering, where did you get the full version of this movie? I want to go and buy it. Or rather what year did it come out since in different releases its cut short.

  • Call out the navy, call out the ranks Call out the air force, call out the tanks. From the cliffs of Dover call up the gulls And don’t forget the loyal territorials! But, who’s sticking in here? Who will defend every inch of England no matter what they send? Who’s standing firm in our own front yard? The soldiers of the old home guard That’s Who! The soldiers of the old home guard
  • If i ever get a cat, His/Her name will be Cosmic Creepers

  • aww would have liked a wedding bleh!

  • Thank you so much for sharing this. This was my all time favourite. Brought back lots of memories...

  • Such a shame that David Tomlinson never kept his association with Disney going after Bedknobs. If Terry-Thomas were unavailable he would have made a fab Sir Hiss in Robin Hood.

  • Definately the time when Disney was worth the time and money to invest yourselves in. Good old pre-millenium years.

  • Absolutely fucking awesome film.

  • I'm disappointed in Jeff Bennett's David Tomlinson impression, especially since he does such a perfect John Cleese.

But Corey Burton is still the master of imitation. I never would guessed the Bookman or Capt. Greer were dubbed anywhere, unlike the others.

  • Was there a B&B pt2

  • mrs price caused the germans almost as much problems as bj blazkowicz did.

  • They could've called this movie Bedknobs, Broomsticks & Bunnies.

  • forgotten how much i liked this film :) classic film x

  • 3:22 And now, a word from our sponsers....

  • Interesting that in this movie a witch's something you can become & you can stop being. In most stories w/ witches a witch & a human are two separate things.

  • But hey, at least this ended less fatally than in "The Eagle Has Landed".

  • I know why they didn't do it, but how mindblowing would it be if the ghost soldiers just hacked the nazi's to pieces and it ended with everyone including the kids smiling and covered in blood, haha :)

  • i always thought it was a mistake for her to give up witchcraft, just look at all the power that she had amassed!

  • @cannibalmonkey13 @cannibalmonkey13 lol I know, right? It always drove me crazy that she gave up witchcraft too, even as a kid. I mean, here is a woman who has the power to command invincible armies (without the use of her workshop that the Nazis blew up). The war could have been over before America even entered! But, of course, she and Brown are implied to be a couple at the end, and we couldn't have the woman being the more powerful half, now could we? *headdesk* :-P

  • oh thank you so much for uploading this was my favorite movie as a kid I haven't seen it in forever. :D

  • i like that the bird and the lion are voiced by the same person. lol

  • thank you i just spent a beautiful morning going down memory lane with this movie...THANK YOU

  • The Nazis didn't even get a chance to beat Disney! Not even for real!

  • I have always wondered this, but how exactly did he find a dragon liver to send to her? The spells are obviously real and work for her so where the hell did he find a dragon.

  • Am I correct that some parts seem to be a little out of order or am I just getting old too soon?

  • Love the film and love you for taking me back to my childhood!Greetings from Argentina!

  • I certainly do wish Sam Jaffe as Bookman did not pop up after the Credits. It spoils the splendour of the music.

  • omg! i remember this movie!

  • "i think we've taught the hun a lesson!"

as if they couldn't have mowed down your rifle-wielding home guard with their machine guns and grenades.

  • awww kitty wanted a kiss too.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this! I haven't seen this in years, and it's even more wonderful than I remembered! :)

  • First time watching it thru since i was a wee lad. Thanks

  • How sad she no longer wanted to stay a witch.

  • And Mr. Brown was never heard from again...

  • @realmskifter or "5 months later, Mr brown caught VD from some tart while he was in germany and passed away..." then "Miss price feared that her affair with the verger would come out once again took up the 'broom' to kill all that knew about the affair, which intern caused an outbrake of fear in the welsh village. She was hunted down by the towns people and burned along with her cat. " that would be an epic caption at the end :)

  • such a great film. Thank you so much for uploading all of it!

  • @Cheesemon0 You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

  • love the movie the cat at the end is like oh god not more magic

  • This is one crazy movie... But its so amazing<3

  • did u know that mr brown and mrs price are brother and sister in real life

  • @MsOctoberstorm Lol no they're not.

  • @MsOctoberstorm David Tomlinson and Angela Lansbury are not related.....

  • @bmwpower1x sorry you r right i was taking to me friend and she said they were but i did some research sorry

  • Thanks for uploading it :)

  • I just realized that General Teagler is played by the same actor that played Admiral Boom in Marry Poppins.

  • Thanks a lot!

  • Thanks alot!

  • EXCELLENT!!! Enjoyed every minute!! Thanks!

  • why did mr brown join the army?

  • @RepIayMediaCatcher All men had to.

  • I wanna be a witch. *giggles*

  • Don't mess with the British Royal Army.

  • love this movie forever i will always believe

  • I always liked this film better than Mary Poppins...

  • @FacetiousJosh Me too. As eccentric, magical heroines go, Miss Price wins by far. Mary Poppins was just too sweet for me (although she's not at all in the books!).

  • This movie has one of the very best Closing Credits sequences ever in motion pictures let alone Disney.

Always find it very touching at 3:08 to see the logo of The End A Walt Disney Production as so few Disney movies had this privilege after this with the crap of today being made.

  • Thank you for uploading this, it's so appreciated by many people!

This was the first time I saw Bedknobs and Broomsticks and I loved it!! :D

  • BRAVO!!!!!

  • Thanks for uploading this prescious film. It took me right back to a better time

  • this is a beautiful movie^^ its one of those ones that is so perfect it dosent need a sequel. i think people have forgoten how to end a story so the wacthers or readers are satisfied. this left me satisfied hooray for old disney!!

  • makes you pround to be GREAT BRITISH

  • @SmoothMoonWalker ur spelling makes me sad tho :-(

    only kidding

  • Right on up there with The Incredible Mr. Limpit for me. Thanks for posting!

  • hey, i'm 25 and still watch this movie once a year.. perfectly to remember the childhood and how the old movies used to be nice.. unlike this fancy stupid new movies....

  • i enjoyed watching this immensely! thanks for posting!!!

  • call out the nazy... lalala like that song :D

  • I still (at eighteen) feel very sad when they blow up her house.

  • Who voices the "king" in the Maboombu segment?

  • :o theres a sequal??

  • it did

  • nothing like a Disney film to cheer you up. no matter how young or old you are.

  • Comment removed

  • Who cares if Disney ripped this movie off, the king(?) from Igor is exactly the same

  • @mrRainbowRobot Disney didn't rip this off. He just added his own special touch to it. Mr. Disney doing what he did best. Making magic happen

  • @tweethang1 Ohh, well I didn't even finish writing that comment; I lost signal and thought it didn't send haha. I meant to say the king from igor is the exact same as the mayor from the nightmare before Christmas.

  • It's been about 6 years since I last saw this film, still bloody brilliant.

    Probably my favourite childhood movie.

  • Wonderful! It's like seeing it for the first time. The extra scenes and songs were great. So much charm and fun. I greatly appreciate you uploading this. Cheers.

  • I think this is one of the greatest movies the Sherman brothers composed. The music and songs are so awesome. Right up there with Mary Poppins.

  • the home gaurd are right they`ll think twice before returning to england i know i wouldn`t if the armor came alive and tried to wipe out my army and me the big 2H axe is realy scary :)

  • I wonder where the kids will go next if the knob still works...^_^

  • thanks for uploading this movie... it made me smile and remember the joy and happiness i felt when i used to sit with my mom and watch these movies as a child...

  • great movie. just one thing left to do. dont make a sequel!

  • I like the song with the end credits. "we will defend, every inch of England no matter what they send". Patriotic British spirit. I love it :) Having a common enemy and purpose really brings everyone together. :)

  • I noticed that the animals on the island had a lot of the same characteristics as the animated animals from later Disney films.

Like, you know that noise that Goofy always makes? The "Eh-hoy-hoy-hooooy". I heard the hyena make that same noise when he was kicked during soccer.

Also, the king and the bear from this island move in the same way as the king and the bear from the animated Robin Hood. They have the same body language even though that usually changes in each Disney film.

  • @katiepox just check the release dates : B&B -> 1971, Robin Hood -> 1973, the B&B animated animals came first, the whole design of Robin Hood was based on them obviously.

  • @deusirae76 I know, that's what I'm saying...

  • @katiepox Yea disney used a ton of stuff from this film. I was actually talking with my aunt about that. I guess disney figured that no one would notice or something, if they copied pieces from B&B.

  • @pheonix1222

Well, B&B *is* Disney... so it's more like 'reused' rather than 'copied' .

  • @katiepox yea i guess thats true. but still. it made me think of all the other disney movies. lol. i guess ill have to rewatch those as well

  • thanx. i felt like a kid all over again.

  • The movie shares some of the same elements as Mary Poppins and just for fun I like to think that somehow Ms. Price and Mary Poppins are related. That'd be something.

  • @johnhamilton08 And Narnia as well :)

  • Marvelous, thanks for the upload!

  • About time he kissed her on the lips, all thet time they spent in bed together.

  • @glynbrain LMAO XD

  • @glynbrain hahahaha

  • Charlie looks like Pete Townshend from The Who lol

  • it's to long ,how long does it last ?

  • The armor in the climactic battle with the Nazis was authentic medieval armor, previously used in Camelot (1967) and El Cid (1961). When any item of armor was to be destroyed, exact fiberglass replicas were created and used

  • This is an absolute treasure. My family would often watch this movie on the old beta cassette players before we went to sleep (along w/ Robin Hood :D). Pity it's so overlooked, but with YouTube I hope a lot more people get to see it. I for one will have my 7 y/o niece watch it instead of that High School Musical crap... Thank you for putting it up!

  • @neolithics see when i work for disney one day i plan to have them so all the old movies like this like one movie pare night of the old ones. and then they can so the new stuff and also i plan to recreate the disney volt making it like it use to be but adding the new stuff along with the old stuff.

  • and the little kid gets his knob out at the end ;)

  • For the record, I would've loved to see what kind of explanation the Nazi officer gave his superiors for the failed raid. :)

  • @TheDarkMaster1989 : =O Me too.

  • one of my favorite movies of all time 2 thumbs up

  • the man who plays the general is Ad. Boom in Mary Poppins :D

  • yessssss

  • Brilliant I loved it! This film made my day.

  • Bravo, bravo, thanks for posting this! It brings back great memories!

  • (: Thank you for putting this on youtube!

(And thanks youtube for not deleting any of it for Copyright!)

Watched this when I was little and couldn't remember half of it and it's so funny to see it again! Good film (:

  • it would be interesting to see a GOOD remake of this (as in not completely ruin it). as it is, it's amazing how they did it. i;m still at a loss as to how they did all those animated armor suits

  • yay. thanks 4 posting! angella lansburry is such a good actress. i always thought she didn't get the proper recognition 4 her great acting acting abilities.

  • She's a living legend in my eyes. She can go from a loveable witch to a woman that feed people other people which I find to be amazing in the least.

  • she did in the 60s check out The Harvey Girls with Ray Bolger and Judy Garland ;)

  • love it. thanks so much for posting. i had only ever seen the "beautiful briny sea" segment before. i love knowing the whole story now.

still one of the better segments of the film though!

  • this should've had a sequel. she's still alive to. i'd love to see her come back to do it again. :-)

  • i agree with you... isn't she great...

  • definitely. i love seeing magic come to pass.

  • A sequel might spoil the beauty of the movie...

  • @Ielwen sigsh* yeah. i guess you're right. would be nice though.

  • @Ielwen it might. but its natural to wonder what happens next.

  • @Ielwen Like with most magical childrens movies? Like bambi? or fox and the hound?

  • Love this!

  • this was a fantastic movie

  • @pheonix1222

I know, this is definitely one of my favourite movies ;)

  • this movie was wonderful

thank you so much for posting it

  • The ending scene with the soldiers walking away was so pretty.

  • Cynthia Nixon make an excellent Miss Price for a remake.

  • I love how all the old people think they chased off the army.

  • @LetsBurnGoats them "old people" u say were the actual soldiers who fought in World War II. Still, the fight between the Nazis and the Bewitched clothes is my favourite part XD

  • @ThePoison27: Just knowing that makes me wonder how they felt about being in the movie

  • Then was this the ADR version?

Was David Tomlinson really dubbed by Jeff Bennett?

By the way, what does that ADR mean???

  • Comment removed

  • i wuv dat kitty

  • wheres part 14?? grrr my kids will moan lol

  • Unless it was added in the meantime, all parts of the movie seemed to be accounted for. Including part 14.

  • oh yeah .... there it is! doh lol xx

  • They get married in the books, in case anyone's interested.

  • Thank you!

  • Aww thank you so muchf or uploading this film :) I love it very muchh thanks againn :) x

  • I used to check this movie out from the library when my parents took me. I must have been like seven years old. Thanks guy

  • Thanks had'nt seen this in ages

  • The "marines" in this film "fighting" for England are usless!! I love the fact they take all the credit for something they didn't do! Good film thow!!

  • Still is a great movie. It's old movies like these that really are classic children's movies. Today's children's movies are...ok...but you just can't beat the classics.

  • I have this movie on DVD, but I have to say, there were several parts of the movie on here that are not on the DVD that I have. Thanks for showing the deleted scenes! I really enjoyed them!!!

  • i didn't know a lot of parts either. don't know why they left them out... their great! but because of this i happened to see new footage on one of my favourite movies after so many years! thanks a lot!

  • Great one! Saw the film when i was a little girl. Brought back memories

  • One of the several that as an teenager (I was 14 when it came out), and (later on) as an adult, I never actually saw it.

Found it totally charming, but then most Disney movies are so.

Was astounded at HOW YOUNG Lansbury was back then! Blew my mind.

  • If you think she is young in this, you should see The Court Jester :)

  • @OzeFlipper she wasn't that young. She was 46

  • to tell you the truth id never seen this movie before i had heard of it (one of its songs was on a disney cd i had i think it was the age of not believing)

  • me two this movie is wonderful

    with the songs

    David Tomlinson

    who was in Mary Poppins

    is in this movie

  • Awesome Film!!

    10/10

  • I love this movie soooo much, especially the songs.

  • Love this movie! Haven't seen it in a long time. Still creeps me out at parts too.

  • I have never forgotten the music from this film, especially portobello road, and bobbing along the bottom of the beautiful briny sea! Ahhh childhood! But I do want to know hoe they did the whole invisble soldiers thing considering they didn't have the special effects that we have today.

  • Walt Disney was never a nazi you JACKASS rmem19!

  • I love this movie!! Me and my sister used to watch it all the time when we were little !! Thank you so much!

  • 'The Happiest Millionaire' Was Disney's last supervisory movie. He passed on while it was still in post production.

  • @OreWaUsopp Does Fred McMurray star in that?

  • i love these old disney movies

  • I just wish he didn't join the war at the end.

  • thank you disney :)

  • I hate that bloody cat.

  • Thanks for uploading - it was a treat to watch this again. Still just as wonderful as ever it was.

  • This was one of the top 5 movies of my childhood, but it's still as good to watch as it was 35 years ago!

  • Thanks for this movie!

  • thank you so much for uploading, i had fun watching this again ^^

  • Amazing movie - thanks for the upload. X

  • lololol. 0:20 the thought they had beaten the Nazi's back lol. Funny.

  • A friend of mine has a cat just like the one in this movie.

  • Like alot of those have said, Thanks for uploading it. Now I know why I liked it when I was little, but now I like it again. Its cute and funny.

  • thank u so much!u clearly made my day!!!

i hadn't watched this movie 4 more than a decade now! i still luv every single line of it!

it's such a pity that nowdays kids don't grow up like we did, watching these amazing movies...!!!

  • Nowadays it's all about being 'gangsta' and urban because filmmakers got too caught up in that. That's why kids nowadays don't grow up like we did watching these amazing films. They should revive these sort of things because that's how the love and joy of these sort of things in films exist.

  • thanks to sites like this i get to introduse movies like this to my kids...they love them we watch at least one disney movie a day
