  • Now we know where Def Lepard stole this riff.."FA FA FA FOOLIN"

  • This is a fine version, enough sad.

  • I loved this guy so much bad in 69 that I named one of my four children after him.

  • this is just horrible..its not even in the same key!

  • @leonakita I shouldnt be so quick to judge.. Its not that bad..just a bar lounge music version of it... which just kills me to say. But I have heard much worse attempts.

  • @leonakita Yes it is in the same key. .. It's that his voice is so much deeper, than years back, it sounds different.

  • Good music refuses to die. Sure, it's not with the energy and innocence of KC 1969 but Greg and the band do a magnificent job.

  • Thankfully there are sub-titles, as the lyrics could be interpreted many ways... David Arch & Trevor Barry from Strictly Come Dancing - like it!

  • Memories of vinyl.....thank you..

  • Irrespective of all comments on here - I just enjoyed it.

  • Lake is just out there trying to make a living and at the same time give the people what they want to hear nothing wrong with that. If he relied on what he made off of King Crimson for the rest of his life he would be poor. I would change the title tho this is not K.C.

  • hey....Lake cannot get any younger....that is pretty hard to do....Just great to see the veteran cosmic rockers sing and play......I enjoy it for what is is....Ya think you are going to get bruford to do this...quit complaining about the this or that not as good as the original...of course it never is as good as genius.....Bravo download king......!!!!!

  • oh dear...........................

  • @knickola What? That's poppycock. Read Bruford's autobiography about his seeing them in 1968. 1-2-3, my foot. People get ideas from all over the place, sure, but "the concept," what the heck do you mean by that?

Not too crazy about this version. The drumming is quite run-of-the-mill. Sadly we all get old and Lake's youthful voice in the 70's was something to hear. If you can find Peter Sinfield's "Still," the title track has a monumental Lake vocal performance.

  • @halfjapanesenirvana quit complaining this is great

  • Yes--I miss the original version--and Bill Bruford too!!!

  • Loved King Crimson, even though they weren't as original as we all thought - got the concept from 1-2-3 at the Marquee.

  • This video demonstrates three things: 1) Lake still has a magnificent voice; 2) Fripp's original music holds up extremely well, even if not played by the original KC; 3) At it's core, 40 years on, is a highly original and very interesting song/lyrics that even still capture one's imagination.

  • For a guy who's balls probably dropped when he was 7 got his first taste of the ladies way before his mates, I'd say "Good run, Old Man!" ;)

  • I don't think it's so bad. In fact, I think it's pretty cool that Greg Lake - an original member of Crimson and co-author of this song - is singing it.

  • @starlessbibleblack1 What are you chatting rubbish for?

Size of stadium able to fill = Size of talent and greatness?

    Utter bollocks.

  • @starlessbibleblack1 It appears you never heard of them at all to make such an absurd summary statement. Do you require stadium fillers? A lot of bands don't even like playing in stadiums .

  • oh my god !!!! greg, what did you do ??? shame over you for killing this perfect song !!

  • @TheCrosspolo Sometimes people mature ;)

  • King Crimson? And... Where are Mr Robert Fripp? That´s the gap on wich the Crimson´s soul breaths...

  • What's with the new vocal line? Preferred the original..

  • The only redeeming quality of this version is hearing greg lake sing it, just like the version of 21st century schizoid man from the same show. He sings it like none other, but without the rest of kc, its just not the same

  • Horrible! I expected better out of Greg Lake. I still love him though.

  • @x00p3 Not the Best .

  • 0:50 Oh dear god what am I listening to. The threatening, ominous feel of one of the greatest songs in progressive music is gone, and in it's place is some cornball new age bullshit.

  • Sorry but I have to ask: who's the trucker in the middle with the guitar and what's he doing here ?

  • @tremah05 That my friend is Greg Lake, who has in fact been member of King Crimson since the beginning. He is also the Bass/Guitar/Vocalist for Emerson Lake & Palmer!

  • @tremah05

the trucker it's just Greg Lake the original singer of this great prog song.

    Fernando

  • Horrible performance. The feel of the original song has been completely lost. It's almost as though they weren't even trying.

  • @ExMachina70 your`e right

  • Demonstrates maturity and tries to hit notes much younger men would cower from.

  • Most horrid rendition of this I ever heard!...Lake can't sing for shit anymore due in no small part to him inhaling buffets for the last 40 years...the fuckin lardbucket!

  • @leonakita Aww, dude!! It's Greg Lake! Age and weight happens to the best of 'em. I gotta admit, he looks a little like Barney Rubble, but he sounded alright to me. He's not 23 anymore.

  • @casestudyification I was a bit rough wasn't I ? Alas, the great equalizer, time..indeed... none of us escape its ravages.

  • @leonakita Yes.....You know what really sucked though, was "Love Beach". Heh ,heh.

  • georgeous, thanks for posting

  • KING CRIMSON = The Best of the Progressive
