Your hair look great.I haven't had a relaxer in 3 months (just because i haven't felt like putting one in) and now i'm going to keep it that way and transition back to my natural hair. For me personally, i wouldn't do the BC because i know it wouldn't look right on me (imagine Tyra banks with short hair) not a good look...lol
Love your hair! I did the same exact thing to my hair. I'm having trouble keeping the back twisted, they tend to come loose very easily. Any suggestions? Anywho, very beautiful look for you!
I'm addictive in going natural as I were when I went for relaxer touch ups!! I got kinky twists in yesterday but at the end of February, they are coming out as well as the last inch of permed ends. I'm sooo ready. Continued blessings to you :)
I transitioned for three months before I chopped in 2002. I've since chopped my hair 3x just because. Once you do it, it's not as big a deal as you orginal thought.
Hi Sis! Your hair looks great. I did the BC last Saturday night also. I've been cutting away at my relaxed hair for about three weeks. I transitioned for about 10 weeks and also could'nt stand the two textures. The vids here on the "tube" helped me make the decision to free myself. I decided that if I could wear my hair pulled back in a bun, it would look just fine cropped. Have'nt had time to video the result yet. Just know you look great!
Hi! How long do you think a person should transition before u do the big chop.. can cut it off GRADUALLY before actually chopping it all off. Because i have been transitioning for about 4 months. i had a short cut.. like a lil bob the back was tapered, so basically the back of my hair is natural , but the sides and the top still have perm on it. i started to chop some ends off a few days ago, (i couldn't do it all, i got scared) so went to braid it in some corn rows in a bun. what do u think
You can transition for as long as you want, but gradually cut the ends if you choose to just gradually transition. Personally I think why hang on to those straight crazy ends. Just cut it or get it cut. Your a pretty girl you'll look great!
i been transitioning for about 3 months and im so ready to cut off the perm parts lol i love the way your natural hair looks on you.....but where can i find glycerin???
Congratulations Mommy to be, you look beautiful and I love your hair. You are just glowing, it must be both the BC and the Baby. Natural hair is healthy for you both.
OMG... I just did the big chop exactly 1 week and 1 day ago and I identify with the things u said about when u did yours. I was talking to myself on the way home and also it was hard to explain how I felt to my sisters who can't believe I cut my hair. It was empowering!
Thanks for the advice. Congrats on the pregnancy. I'm starting to transition now and wondering if I should just chop it off and not deal with the permed ends.
u look beautiful with this hair length and style!! true beauty is versatile! ;)

I just want to be clear, are you referring to vegetable glycerin? Which I'm told is better for your hair.

You can get glycerin at your local health food store or you can order it online.
