@H2H3F Hey Dude just experiment, I usually keep my ratio's low and my attack to about 30-50 and my release to 100, but it depends on what you like so just experiment :)

You put a compressor on an element and then route it so that the kick feeds the compressor effect - creating that rhytmical ducking sound.

side chaining is giving the sound you have with the pulse of a beat. its what you hear when you have a sound that it harmonic and fading in and out with a kick.

basically, he's got the punchy kick that he put in earlier.

he adds the string pad melody over the top.

so in his track, he makes an identical kick drum track, routes it through a bus track, applies the compressor on the srings track, the input of the compressor is through the routed bus track. so when the kick drum is played, it takes gain away from the strings.

you must bounce your kick from ur current project and then drag n drop it as an audio file or u could just simply drag n drop any kick sound and then put it as an audio file then mute the track not the waveform. hope this will help you
