  • hah there's 1 Dislike o.O fuck this disliker

  • i love the lyrics, but i cant stand the stop start of it

  • One person is retarded

  • @IwearNEFFbennies rise agaisnt wont approve to your way of thinking man go back to rap if u wont allow opinions!

  • @IwearNEFFbennies Umm, you implying something there..? =/

  • The lyrical dexterity of Rise Against in my opinion surpasses all other bands. Go Rise Against!!! :P

  • @PhoneticAlfabet

    RA lyrics are great

But there is NO way they beat the lyrics of BAD RELIGION

Greg Graffin got his phD from Cornell, is a UCLA/Cornell Professor, receiver of the 2008 Harvard Secular Society's "Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award in Cultural Humanism", author of a couple scientific books about religion, science and how Punk and Science are related.

    Fucking genius.

Not to mention that the lyrics (by Gurewitz) to 21st Century Digital Boy was written in the 80s!

  • whats a coup?

  • @gaeb611 a highly successful, unexpected stroke, act, or move; a clever action or accomplishment

  • @ratrule00 thnx, very descriptive definition.

  • @gaeb611

    dictionary(dot)com

  • Q: Is there any band better than Rise Against?

  • @ChrisTheImortal A: yes..... TDG, even so Rise Against is still perty good

  • @DemonGodoftheNW false, Rise Against is the best, but TDG is still pretty good

  • @ChrisTheImortal No can't think of any

  • @ChrisTheImortal that all depends on opinions

  • @ChrisTheImortal A: No

  • they are describe every great empire

  • I love how rise against talks about the government and authority icons in their songs and I mostly agree, What I mean is In my opinion there shouldnt be a government or any kind of control over the people, and probably people will comment saying that we need one or something but its just an opinion.

  • @PepinProx i was just thinking that. but my way of thinking is that we need power and order and they need us. because someone will always want power. i'd rather have an organized government then a criminal tyrant who happened to have enough money and weapons to control us....thats what my opinion is.

  • @munishion i understand your point of view, but the reason why dictators and tyrants exist and actually have access to power is because people are afraid of them, anyway I guess what I was trying to say is that we wouldnt need a government if people knew how to express their freedom in that way they wouldnt need any type of government to tell them how they should live their lives. But i respect your opinion nonetheless and i apreciate sharing it with me

  • @PepinProx Nice to know i can actually talk to someone without them getting mad and calling me some retarded name....Respect.

  • Play this song and Satellite at the same time. It's awesome as a cat on crack with a hot fudge sunday in the middle of the freeway.

  • @boilingoverinside Thats A....Different Analogy xD

  • You know, looking at the top comments it's odd. I could have sworn that Rise Against was just a shortened name of Rise Against the Machine, and that there was another band called Rage Against the Machine, which was why there was occasionally some confusion. Or maybe not, that's just the way I remember hearing it when I first started getting in to Rise Against.

  • @starwarrule Yea it's just Rise Against, I had the same issue whenever I saw rise against I thought shouldn't it be Rage Against, now I don't listen to Rage, only the Rise Against!

  • @PunksNotWeird hehehe

  • 15.03.2012 - Warsaw Stodoła Club- Rise Against <3 Will be ownage :D

  • @ScyDrall warsaw indiana?

  • @gamefreak22574 Nope. Warsaw the capital of Poland i Europe ;]

  • @ScyDrall oh, i got excited for a minute lol

  • @ScyDrall will they do a european tour????? are they coming to denmark???

  • this song i believe is about america's foreign policy

  • @KrYpTiiCGaming1 i agree. although others may have different interpretations, i think the lyrics are rather straight forward: "raised the flags, seized the throne, it's just the same old story" it's like the u.s. government claims they have a duty to enforce their form of government and their culture on other countries so they just invade. meanwhile everyone suffers, in more ways than just economically. i think their intentions aren't even "noble" to begin with, they're just after something...

  • @MenAmongPoodles wrong its not the GOVERNMENT that is being "rised against" but the ACTIONS of the govenment

  • @runescape1sux hm. interesting. please elaborate.

  • @MenAmongPoodles the government is completely fine. Its the people who run it who screw it up. Essentially (though not what the song is about) it is us as a COMMUNITY who elect the people who run the government. We elect government officials who we believe will do the best job or certain fads such as Obama. Would McCain have done a better job then Obama? maybe, maybe not. but the majority of voters voted for him because he was black

  • @runescape1sux I agree and disagree. While you're be right about the people electing him just for the sake of having a black president, I don't think his leadership is lacking. I just think that our system of government and the people who run it are so selfish and opposed to eachother that we can never get anything done. this is everyone's fault, not just Obama's. But please, let's not fight over whether he's a good president or not, cuz i don't think that can be decided given the circumstances.

  • @MenAmongPoodles im not saying he's a bad president. im saying people would have voted for him whether or not he was or wasn't a bad president.

  • @MenAmongPoodles it just seemed as if obama would have been a great example

  • GUYS SHUT THE FUCK UP! STOP TALKING ARGUING ABOUT LINKIN PARK AND RAGE AGAINST THE FUCKING MACHINE! If your going to argue about them, take the argument to a more related video. however it is possible to not argue and just shut your mouths, or even like both.

  • @heavenlywolf151 Fucking agreed

  • oh have you heard about Story of the Year?Therre great too!

  • Comment removed

  • Or a bit before that

  • Do you hear something at 2:08?

  • @Tsoyup yes it sounds weird

  • Endgame and ATR are no way near as good as their earlier albums like, RpM or The Unraveling. - but Endgame was a good album, just not their best work, still way better than ATR. Good song too.

  • @sbcistheboss i agree 100%.

  • im kinda new to rise against only been addicted for like a month but they are really amazeing... i never thought id hear such a great display of lyrical talent and musical talent

  • I love the part where it says " How long will we stand for this?" The way Tim sings that part i sooo cool!

  • wow 1 dislike the person just got mixed up they thought it met download

  • @altiedy lol

  • one man or woman is very big idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

rise against are best band on the world and Tim is the best singer :)

  • After hearing modern pop music on the radio I came to hate the whole repeating a line of music, but to hear it here, I never knew repeating one line over and over could be so meaningful.

  • @MrBobcasey i havn't listened to pop in years and i'm proud.

  • Appeal to Reason was amazing. have you honestly listened to all of its songs open-mindedly ? I loved it.

  • @moikanos11 appeal to reaosn want bad by any stabndards its a solid album, but its still the worst album theyv made, and its widley considered that by almost every rise against fan and by pretty much ever RA fan that was here before they got popular

  • @jsh020 I became a fan of RA pretty recently, 3 years ago actually. they were already famous then, however it wasn't the fame that brought me to them. I searched on my own and found them. still, ATR is a very good album, equally good with the rest of their albums, probably better than RpM ((if you ask me of course)) It all comes down to a matter of taste.

  • @moikanos11 revolution per minuete is actually my second least favorite, i dont get why its so widly considered the best ecpecially with the unraveling getting the shaft when its so freaking good

  • @jsh020 yeah...well RpM was a bit different in style than their new albums, probly a bit more hardcore, more punk. And for peoplle that liked that kind of music, their new albums just sound a bit too calm maybe?

They surely are different, but i love all of their albums, ranging from RpM to Endgame.

  • @moikanos11 what if every album sounded the same? thatd be lame and this is why i love rise against because i can tell you what song came from what album from hearing it just because its unique to that album for that sound.

  • @RAsurvive Yeah i know, i agree with you totally. And i know of some bands who just sound the same in every song of theirs and that's just bad.

  • what i think this means is that we are all following something higher, and then when we do come together and make something and take over what we have become sick of, we do the same thing, when "we should have burned it to the ground"

  • so what are your opinions about the song's meaning ?

    RA <3

  • @malikys its rise against, the meanings great, its pretty obvious this is about war, and the reverse breakdown is telling us how stupid we are for letting this happen and how much more violence is needed for us to learn,

but on the surface its a FUCK YAH song and i really want to start a war while listening to it, kinda abides the point but this song gets me moving

  • this song makes me want to punch somthing in the good way

  • this one goes directly to favorites !

  • my fav is also in a 3 way tied but mine is between make it stop, this is letting go and satellite

  • my favorite is a 3 way tie between, wait for me, architects, and midnight hands

  • @00Powell me and u sir think much alike!

  • Rise Against is just fucking amazing!xD

  • Risa against is truly a powerful band.... they always have a message to give and they are powerful ones.......RISE AGAINST FUCKING ROCKS HELL YEAH!!

  • Risa against is truly a powerful band.... they always have a message to give and they are powerful ones.......RISE AGAINST FUCKING ROCKS HELL YEAH

  • this album is such an improvement from their last one...which i thought wasn't even worth bootlegging

  • @ThaTRUTH78502934 Appeal to reason is a masterpiece, how can you say that?

  • @fortheHorde7 yah its a good album but its sure as hell not a masterpeice, suffer and witness or RPM as a masterpeice makes sense but not atp, atp wa sa good album and all but it wasnt rise against, its the one black sheep of the albums and endgame pretty much makes up for it

  • @jsh020 Its different, you see Tim is a singer who sings from his heart, and he had a good period during APR, i it was a very good album because he points out to the childish actions of bush, how men at war come to their doubts about their government, if the american the people are really so free to do whatever they do. those things make it, in my eyes, a very good album. hell every album is great, rise against is awesome

  • @fortheHorde7 i know thats why i lvoe him and its the same for my other favorite band smashing pumpkins, that lead singer sings form the heart so their old stuff is very dark and sad whi;le newer stuff is more happy and bright,

appeal to reason had no problem in the lyrical and meanings department i mean it was the instrumentals didnt have the same flare as older albums or endgame, ATP was good its just everything else by them is better

  • @jsh020 Yeah know what you mean althoug, unraveling is my least favourite ablum, love ssocc though, got the album at home :)

  • so far i have like this whole new albem rise agaisnt is BEAST!!!!!!

  • god is this the most amazing album by rise against

  • god all songs are great i cant choose a favorite ='( great album anyways

  • @bloodbug5369 hehe. i chosen like at least 5-7 favorites from the endgame album

  • @bloodbug5369 That's a good sign, don't be sad, I get a new favorite every week or so :)

  • Man this song is freaking amazing. I love the guitar in the intro. And how the singing goes with the drums throughout the song is so CATCHY! Great vid.

  • @itsMALIFO yeah! i agree. I love the rhythm of the guitar. it's so great. Rise Against is just epic

  • @Tischdecke i say: oh have you heard of rise against?

they say: you mean rise against the machine?

    im like: NO! -.-

  • @BOXFRESH99 ahahaha great :D

But this other band is called "RAGE against the machine", i think. but im not sure anyway.

Just show him or her RISE AGAINST and he or she will love it, i am sure :)

  • @Tischdecke yes it's called rage against the machine.

    still confuses people

  • @Tischdecke

your forgetting those who can't understand lyrics and those who like things that aren't music...You can't forget the latter they get mad easily >.<

  • @Tischdecke It is rage against the machine. The lead singer's Tom Morello, hes got a kinda odd voice but it goes very well with their style.

Im a rocker, anything 60's through modern. 90's is my favorite, but Green Day, Rise Against, and Breaking Benjamin are incredible.

  • @mitchr1224 yah he has a weird voice but hes beast on the guitar! lol

  • @XxTheGoOfYxX Hell yeah, and the singing goes with his guitar style very well.

  • @mitchr1224 lol tom morello is the awesome guitarist haha the lead singers name is zach de la rocha

  • @shzze Oh... i did not know that, i like rage against the machine but not as much as, say, Nirvana, so i dont know as much about the band. Its good though.

  • @Tischdecke Yeah, but literally everyone actually says 'rise against the machine' :')

  • @Tischdecke it rage against the machines and the suck!!! their more like linkin park wannabe's XDDD

  • @Tischdecke it rage against the machines and the suck!!! their more like linkin park wannabe's XDDD

  • @ggaaajnkjnsdh Even if you don't like Rage Against the Machine, you can't call them Linkin Park wannabes. RATM was waaaaay before LP even existed. Lol.

  • @WhatTheDuckVids Except LP is amazing and RATM sucks. =P

  • @SeriousGamer2009 Now that is a lie.

Pre-Catalyst LP and RATM are both great bands

But of course we all know that Rise Against is better than both.

  • @DrakoVongola11 Why pre-catalyst? I like the Catalyst.

  • @mitchr1224 Different strokes for different folks I suppose, personally I didn't like Catalyst.

  • @ggaaajnkjnsdh are you fucking kidding RAGE were here waaaay before linkin park, and they barely sound similar you rem

  • @Tischdecke

its rage... and its a good band... they get political also...

  • @Tischdecke i'm pretty sure that's the voice of tim

  • @BOXFRESH99 Somebody said that to me today, actually. Exact words.

  • @VulcanSpartan quite amazing tbh:)

  • @BOXFRESH99 ive had pople do that to me as well

  • @BOXFRESH99 duuuuuuuude don't be hatin' on rage... same message, different sound. both bands are equally AWESOME =]

  • @flurpleparrot i love your attitude my friend :)

  • @BOXFRESH99 so do i, mr. BOX, so do i...

  • @flurpleparrot LMAO

  • @BOXFRESH99 thats also happens to me, and i think : .1. you

but the name os the band is rage against the machine

  • @BOXFRESH99 Who the hell says "Rise againt the machine? isn't it "Rage against the Machine.".

  • @BaseBallPirate96 yes and they are gods.
