  • All so angry, just hug that shit out....

All martial arts have something to offer, everyone knows there are rules in comps, we all know "in the streets" there are no rules, just view this for what it is, a group of enthusiasts putting into sport what they practice.

Its great that theres so many have opinions, just respect diversity in martial arts and take on board what works for you.

I train in BJJ/Muay Thai, but I practiced TKD for awhile and use its kicks still.

  • Where can you do stuff like this? like where does this event take place?

  • gordo gay

  • Sorry but is Traditional Ju jitsu with full contact rules.

  • This isn't proper Ju Jitsu that's what i was trying to say. And mma'ers always step up & say sparring is the only way to train for reality. Howwever, there are rules, lot's of deangerous techniques are banned and there's a ref plus the gloves restrict dangerous techniques from being applied plus there's no weapons defense or multiple attacker training in mma. I rest my case. Sport & Traditional MA's are different. U guys think every violent situation is about stalking each and trading blows.

  • Also respect people for going out and competing! Of course these guys aren't top Mixed Martial Arts fighters. The way all you guys are talking, you make it sound like you are all grand masters. I don't even know where this video came from and I know nothing about these fighters. I posted it because I thought it looked like a good competition and I saw some good techniques in there. Honestly, it doesn't matter whether this is Jujitsu or BJJ.

  • Wow I cannot believe how many people have commented on this. I uploaded this such a long time ago. Why is everyone on the internet so concerned with arguing about martial arts superiority or purity? Seriously, everyone grow up! Is it really important to convince some internet warrior across the world of some moot point? Don't you think its a bit trivial? If you practice any martial art then you should respect these guys for going out there and fighting with heart.

  • @properjujitsu jujitsu by definition includes striking and grappling,it always has,bjj is not and never was jujitsu, its early judo adapted for match fights. There are guys from judo, karate, kickboxing ,mma and bjj at this comp,I know people in the vid.Full contact has nothing to do with gloves ,it means full force,no pulled shots,is boxing not full contact?

  • @properjujitsu you can spar by omitting some targets and techniques, mma sparring is an example, ive been sparring like that for years and got more injured when I did thai and boxing, not every spar is all out, most is sparring for timing and awareness.I know exactly what classical jujitsu is and the vast majority of it doesnt work because they never spar.

  • @properjujitsu so now you admit it is full contact? The gloves they are wearing here are open fingered so they dont restrict grappling much, certainly you can still do wristlocks and neck cranks. All the stikes you mention are allowed in mma and none have ever produced the theoretical effects you mention, any strike to the head could kill in theory, its happened in boxing several times ,even with gloves on.

  • mma with a gi and a mat instead of a trunks and a cage. i like it!

  • that's is ju jutsu, not bjj.....

  • similar to MMA but with a gi?

  • this is traditional Japanese jujitsu, full contact.

  • if it was trad jap style they wouldnt even be sparring ,let alone full contact.

  • How does the belt ranking system work in this one?

Just noticed there are red and black belts fighting white belts in some cases!! Haha i dont think they're using the BJJ belt system :P

  • This is MMA with Gi.

    It's called Jiu-Jutsu/Ju-Jutsu

Also known as Jiu-Jitsu Combat or Ju-Jutsu Full-Contact.

You have this Style in Germany, Holland and Poland

  • @Nalvan I practice this in portugal

  • What song is this?

  • vale tudo?

  • this is MMA with a gi. not jiu jitsu, i think.

  • This is not jiu jitsu...this video sucks

  • it is what jj should be if it were trained realistically

  • @billysue2 What's realism in your oppinion? 2 guys attacking each with gloves on the mat with rules? Or no protection live weapons multipleattackers etc. Have you ever trained Japanese Ju Jitsu? Try it you may enjoy it. This is sport.

  • @properjujitsu i did 2 different styles of jap juitsu, weapons as well for 2 yrs,not impressed. That was after 17 yrs of tkd and kickboxing.Proper classical jujitsu contains no sparring whatsoever, its fully compliant so you gain no timing, sensitivity, power, nothing of any value for combat,it had some decent restraint techs for security but thats it.

  • i think this is called mma or fighting.

  • Man, lotta criticism out there... Now, without actually pointing a finger, cuz I don't know anyone here, I'd really have to ask how many nay-sayers out there have gotten into a ring and fought full contact? When you're staring at a guy who's trying to take your head off, are you going to be worrying about "form", or are you going to swing for the fences?

  • You practice your form so when the moment comes you won't swing for the fences and get your ass kicked by someone who practiced their form very hard so they could rely on it when the shits-hit-the fan,

  • looks like NHB

  • I am a ground fighter myself but that spinning high kick to the head number was sick. I would have ducked that and swept his leg and finished him with a knee bar but it was pretty nice. hee hee

  • Isn't this pretty much just MMA?

  • alot of shitty jiu jitsu with strikes

  • oh sry i got it

  • Awsome!! not sure why you called it BJJ though. More like PJJ, since its in Poland.:-)

  • wtf?!

  • great training

  • Heck I remember training back in Europe, it was tough as hell, once I hit this dude with a shin kick ,after I'd done shin conditioning, and I got a swelling the size of an egg on my shin lol Many times we'd be on the floor crying in pain.We trained harder back in Europe cause that's all we had, it was either that or crappy tv. All was sweet;-)

  • nive vid, real hard competetion and these guys have skills!!! Definetly NO Bjj!

  • nice vid

  • Dude this is ju jutsu, and i think goshin ryn ju jutsu...

  • man those poles where competing in a hard comp. the most experienced muay thai guy wouldn't last longer than 2 minutes with those dudes, seen it happen too many times in mma bouts. Props to those guys that weren't no bjj comp most bjj guys would shit their pants if they had to compete in that comp. That was mma with gi's. crazy vid.. loved it

  • beautiful spinning back kick @ 1:52 into the clip

  • Did a guy get head spiked in this or was that my imagination?

  • tuff poles!

  • if a good muay thai fighter, and he doesnt know any bjj he could win

  • Good Video. It reminds me of Daido Juku without the headgear. I think this may be part of the International sport jujutsu association. They have schools in a lot of different countries.

  • I liked the choice of music and would still rather train in a jujutsu club that emphasized this kind of competition than most traditional dojos (dojangs). Its a good video.

  • I agree with last poster, the punches were mostly haymakers (wild punches that are easy to block). The knees in the clinch were just as bad. A average BJJ guy, or a avg Muay Thai guy with takedown defense would have murdered these guys.

  • These guys are amateurs, so give them a break. In addition, they are also BJJ guys. Most amateur BJJ guys don't train with strikes and, when they are thrown into the mix, the mentality of the fighters goes from intense rolling to "hey, this is a real fight" Dealing with that correctly takes some time.

  • I thouht we already established that these guys are actually doing JJJ (Japanese) and not BJJ. Hence they are primarily strikers and not grapplers. That is why I criticize their striking. Even their grappling is sloppy. Either way, their competition looks like fun.

  • this isn't bjj. It's traditional ju jutsu, and it suchs. It's like vary bad mma. nothing more, nothing less. Bad striking ability, takedowns, and grappling. It's pathetic.

  • i totally aggre with you, its pathetic. totally and utterly pathetic.

  • silly you.. Don't even know what you are talking about

  • kick jutsu

  • Very cool. I like the idea of doing MMA with a Gi. Allows for different technical combinations and exchanges in the clinch and groundgame.

  • it's not that different from MMA aside from the Gis they're wearing

  • panowie jestem z was dumny, zajebisty filmik, Viva Polonia!!!

  • Does anybody know if they have this kind of competition in Canada .

  • The Video that was shown is Japanese Jujutsu, not bjj (Brazilian jujutsu). This kind of martial arts is available in canada and competitions are held all over Canada. If you live in the Toronto area and are interested in this form of martial arts, go to www.salvosabjj.com for more info

  • Or, if you live in the Ottawa area, check out www.oama.com, for Gracie BJJ, and Lanna Muay Thai

  • That was pretty cool, a nice mix of skills.

  • Wait this video is a troll nevermind.

  • you dumbass it's Japanese Jujutsu.

  • great action!

  • Why dont they just take the damn Gi off and get it on.

  • The Gis allow numerous chokes for example. It's a whole other game.

  • P.S. not so sloppy strikes, look at the kicks at 1.23 and 1.53 ;)

  • Nice vid, it gives us a glimpse of the polish reality (tough one) and an insight of new hybrid realities coming out from interacting of BJJ with european JJ and others.

  • anyway, cool vid...sloppy strikes overall though but nice to see they were allowed full contact punches and knees to the head. Suprising since its an amateur competition...there's amateur pankration/MMA in the US (and used to be here in Canada) which looks similar but no head contact allowed though.

  • Where is this competition ?

  • Bytom, Poland

  • jiu-jitsu is the old way of spelling it which the Brazillians have kept...the modern more proper way is jujutsu or jujitsu, but its just a matter of preferance cause either way you pronounce it pretty much the same.

  • please STFU if you don't know what the fuck you are talking about. "Jiu Jitsu" if you are reffering to the Brazilian art. "Ju-jutsu" or "ju-jitsu" for the Japanese art.

  • God damnit dude, Its spelled...

    jiu-jitsu!

  • Great video:-)

Pozdrowienia dla chłopaków ze Śląska ^_^

MMA w gi jest tak samo ciekawe jak no gi. Więcej technik kończących i więcej rzutów. Świetny turniej.

  • This is not BJJ, it is European Ju Jutsu.

Looks like an Allkampf Tournament, like the ones we have here in Germany, but i don´t know the polish Rules.

  • Very extremely good.. striking with grappling. shows how grappling is not all that..and striking is not all that.. both together..v v nice..

  • a cross between bjj and a tkd tourny niiiceee

  • whoaa NICE..

  • thats mma and it's held at little tourneys like tkd would be? crazy?

  • pretty kewl! Some of those guys let there training go out the window and were just swinging though :P
