I was thinking about their new guitar tones... What would you think if CoB re-recorded Hatebreeder and Follow the Reaper with their new higher-gain distortion, but with more mids? xD

I still think that Hatebreeder is somewhat weaker tone-wise (along with SW) than their other releases. In RRF, Alexi's tone sounds incredibly weak as well, as does Janne's lead to a lesser degree.
i like this version of the song WAAAAAY better, it sound so much more metal and basically epic. I do however like the solo from the first version, if they were to mix, so up to the solo v2 was playing (and after the solo) i think it would be one of the best songs ever made... even though it already is.
WEll this one is basically similar in all aspects except the beginning and the vocals. And especially if you're like me and don't pay attention to the vocals and focus on an instrument it's completely understandable.
i like children of bodom but something about it i dunno if its the keyboard or the highpitched huitar but something is just off for me
