Installing Blackberry OS 6 on your Blackberry Curve/Bold

i got the same prob as 013NiZii036. but my phone is BB curve 9300. please help us..

After whiping a blackberry bold 9700 and trying to load the new OS i get a message that my device manager doesn't have the software for this phone that is in the pc.

What to do about this? Because the only thing I can see at the moment is: Reload software: 507

Guys here is solution for port issues! Restart your PC

Solution for device software issue;

Delete desktop manager delete software and install software again and try same steps (BBSAK PART)

Go to C -program files -common files -research in motion -apploader -apploader.exe follow on screen instructions if you get same error go to same folder and delete vendor file and try . it must work now. THUMBS UP SO EVERYONE CAN SEE!!

Update for those with port issues!

A few suggestions:

• Close Desktop Manager (DM) from task manager and then try BBSAK

• Keep retrying to connect a couple of times

• Read the last link in the description.

@123cristoval When you wipe it it will say that there is no OS or a error code (can't rmbr exactly) but it is meant to say that. Now once you connect it you should be able to install the new OS which it wouldn't allow you to do before :)

Sometimes BBSAK may say the device isn't detected but it is as it will show its model and bb pin but if It doesn't show up and you have managed to wipe it then goto the BB Manager after you have downloaded and installed the OS it should offer to install it onto the BB. :)

Quick note that you will get an error message once you wipe the phone with BBSAK! This will allow you to install the latest but the BB needs to connect to the PC! Another thing is that the BB 8520 CANNOT upgrage to OS6 so really there isn't any point in upgrading as you probably have the latest OS already unless your looking for a bug fix then stop wasting your time!

@jhuneray Well if you're talking about the BB pin its located underneath the battery. The password you enter is the same password you have set on your BB.

@Pigrome It will work but you will only update to the latest version your blackberry supports. The only versions that support BB OS6 are 9800, 9780, 9700, 9670, 9650, 9330, 9300 and 9100. If yours doesn't it may still be able to update to a newer version which may have bug fixes.

If make a backup of your data using the desktop manager then you will save all you data but you will lose your apps.
