@SoloDrumMusic1969 I have no idea what this would sound to me if it were the first time hearing it today, but when i was a kid it blew me away. Funny how subjective music can be
@pashedmotatos I suppose that it is common sense and no offense taken. My point is that this song (one that should be enjoyed by anyone with an IQ consisting of more than two digits) is over shadowed by some bitch who has never and will never contribute anything worth half of a pile of bat shit to music as a whole. The same can be said for far too many "musicians" these days.
they were ahead of their time when they made this song. This is like that underground sound nowadays, i can't believe they did it in the early 80's. Sonic Youth definitely changed the history of rock.
@FallopianY0UTUBE I know! It's amazing how good the production is too, it sounds like it could have been released today! It's also very artistic: you can feel the anger and despair behind it, but it's still so subtle and controlled. It really speaks for how mature they were and how seriously they took the art form. That's Sonic Youth: discovering the secrets of sound and putting them to use.
I like when she says "All the money's gone, all the money's gone"

To tell you the truth, being a jazz fan I never paid attention to this kind of music...Still don't like it, but as an art form, it's interesting...

Does anyone else get pissed off when they have to sift through fifteen fucking susan boyle videos before they can get to this song?

@Orl13 just add "Sonic Youth" to the end of your keyword search after typing "I Dreamed I Dream"
no offense...but isn't that simple? it's common sense.
