How to hover/ fly a rc helicopter inverted on a rc simulator

balkansmoker, you hit the idle up and then pull back the collective pitch to below zero degrees.

I understand about idle up what input do you give the heli to get it to invert itself you don't just hit idle up what do you do next pull back cyclic or collective?

I ment 5 channels as in 5 working switch and stick movements. And I fly a blade 400 and idle up does help hovering in windy conditions!!

A 5 channel heli won't go inverted. With the addition of each channel comes another feature.

1 channel - throttle

2 channels - rudder

3 channels - forward and backward flight

4 channels - left and right (can lean all ways)

5 channels - collective (variable) pitch

6 channels - Idle up

And just a tip, in real life anyways, pilots get off the ground before hitting the idle up switch. Also, another random tip, idle up makes it easier to hover in windy conditions.

@500lbkoolaidman A 5 Ch. Heli can go inverted. Idle up is a mixing mode in the transmitter. It is true that each channel adds a feature:

1 - Throttle

2 - Rudder

3 - Foreward/backward Cyclic

4 - Left/right cyclic

5 - Collective

6 - Gyro gain (if equipped)

7+ - Accessories (landing gear, lights, etc)
