  • I can't believe that matt is singing a falsetto at 3:46 I always thought that it was his kaoss pad AMAZZZING!!!! :P

  • who else sings the intro with their mouth? WEEEOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWW WEOW WEOW WEOW WEOW WEOW WEOW WEOW WEOW WOEW WOEW WOEW WOEW WOEW WEOWWWW something like that.

  • sorprendente

  • thisis heavier than most metal songs nowerdays.

  • Finaly!! music that rocks hard !! since the grunge era.

  • omg, dat riff

  • Goose bumps all the way through...

    LOVE IT!!!!

  • Ça c'est du Muse! Une de mes chansons préférées. Impatiente d'écouter le nouvel album pour 2012.

  • Le vrai Kifff !!!

  • love this song but i dont think my mom... Yeah she hates it(jesus freak)

  • @silverseaturtle Maybe you're an Athiestfreak and would hate her favourite music. xD

  • @Bleakunending spot on good sir. LOL

  • @silverseaturtle "Pray that there's no God to punish us and make a fuss" is simply a verbal paradox hilighting the foolish attitude of those who destroy the planet and leave Africans die of hunger while throwing so too much in the garbage and while eating so mutch that they get overweight and die of cholesterol - and yet go to church every sunday. This song is not about God not being real, it's about us trashing the world in a way that can only cause God's wrath if he exists.

  • Simply very good =D

  • This isn't on absolution?

  • @Cibagagi on the Japanese version yes :D

  • @Cibagagi only on a japanese release or something.

  • @Cibagagi I think it's on the Jap. release of Absolution. I know it's also a B-side. Might be both. I think every album has that 1 song that's only in the Jap. release.

    Showbiz- Spiral Static

    Origin Of Symmetry- Futurism

    Absolution- Fury

    Black Holes & Revelations- Glorious

    The Resistance- Neutron Star Collision.

  • @KYUBIMATIAS Why the fuck is that happening? What more have the japanese done to be able to enjoy more awesomeness?

  • @KYUBIMATIAS

I don't think that NSC was on Japanese's TR. It was recorded after TR.

  • Muse: music so good, you'll be wondering what's happening during and after the song. I love this album (for what I've heard so far) but it sure is obscure at times (but good).

  • 1:38 booom booom booom booom booom! epic bass there! :)

  • Can anyone hear his voice on the last course where it gets really high and sounds spiritual? Cuz I can hear it and it's o beautiful <3

  • @ViscountDevil type in fury live zenith 2004. its audio only but it kind of like a falsetoo

  • *_* That bass line! <3 !

  • wow 333 likes and 3 dislikes O.O

  • MY FAVOURITE MUSE SONG OF ALL TIME ...EVIL UNDER TONES AND SUPER FUNKY ALTERNATE RIFFS BRINGING THE FEELINGS RIGHT TO THE SURFACE

  • Is there any possible way to buy this song in the US? (Okay, you're all going to tell me to import the Japanese version of Absolution. Fine, fine...my wallet cries once again thanks to Muse.) :) At least they're worth it.

  • @griffeyjrfan You could buy the "Sing for Absolution" single. "Fury" is a B-side on that single :)

  • @IndianaJones664

    HAhaha... absolutly! Great Comment.

----That background rift... its pretty wicked.

  • Why did they stop making music like this, it makes me sad, this is how i envision Muse to sound, Fury, Dead Star and Sing For Absolution is how i will always remember them, haunting, melodic but with a hard edge when it needed it

  • Matt Bellamy is God.

  • @PeaceLouise I hate when people compare God to Matt Bellamy! I know he is good and all but come on... he is no Matt Bellamy :P

  • @Babs44sun You're so right :D

  • @Babs44sun lol

  • @Babs44sun

No blasphemy intended, eh? I now have this strong urge to knock on wood.

  • @Babs44sun I hate when people take the top rated comment from one video and post it on another related video. I know you think you are funny and all but come on... at least make your own jokes. :P

  • @Mewigi I actually read this off face book lol

  • I was listening to this song the whole day

  • @Starstruck404

    they say "make a fuss"

  • @Starstruck404 As was I, retard. I said that because I've made similar comments, and everyone and their mother feels like correcting, missing the joke and flooding your inbox. Jeez.

  • @Starstruck404 Hey man, I'm going to correct your comment because I'm pretty sure that half-a-million people haven't beat me to the point. In fact, I'm not even going to check to see if I'm being redundant. I'm pretty sure that nobody else has corrected you on the lyrics yet, no sir.

  • @Starstruck404 make a fuss, read the lyrics

  • @Starstruck404 like an evp in a fucking graveyard...i believe they did, son, i believe they did.....

  • @Starstruck404 "and we'll pray that there is no god, to punish us, or make a fuss" or as you translated it "megan fox" LOl

  • @Fozza217G i always thought it was that until I saw the lyrics

  • @Starstruck404 haha no they say "Make a fuss" but I agree it sounds like "Megan Fox" xD

  • @iamJosefine jeez, thanks for ruining it :)

  • @iamJosefine keep your weird thoughts to yourself next time!!!!!

  • @sundancekiki haha whaat? x'DD

  • one word: epicamazing

  • 3 ppl are about to feel the fury

  • @Starstruck404 ill admit i loled

  • @Starstruck404 They say "Make a fuss" xd

  • And we'll pray that theres no God .... epic contradiction!!!

  • The louder this song is, the better it sounds. I listen to this on a daily basis; it's the best diet I've ever been on. I only listen to Muse.

  • 3 people don't have a life

  • @thegreatmarkwiebe

Or perhaps three people disliked the song?

  • @thegreatmarkwiebe just because they disliked the song? i mean, i love muse but... come on xD

  • my neck hurts after the headbanging inducing outro

  • This is the second muse song that i have seen people arguing religion. Why r u thinkin of religion and not just listenin to the song? Why aren't u happy with just listenin to the epicness?

  • does it really matter about the religious views of Matt? the answer is no, so just enjoy the music :)

  • I personally don't care what the songs about. I think it's FRIGGIN EPIC!

  • In 2012 if Meteors start to fly towards the earth, if a tidal threatens to wipe out all civilization, Muse will play this song and with that they'll obliterate the Meteors and blow the wave back to where it came from

  • @killduckie Or they'll just cause that stuff to happen.

  • the chorus made me go butterfly..infact thats what all muse song does to me

am i the only one who loves the guitar riff in the chorus?

  • Is this on the album??? I am a huge fan of muse, but i thought i had the whole album on my ipod. Is this on the british one??? I feel stupid for asking

  • @alaskanmist876 It's not on the album, it was released as a B-Side to Absolution.

  • @alaskanmist876 No its a B-side to sing for absolution [=

  • im scared

  • I.Love.This.Song!!

  • my neighbors know all the lyrics to this song

  • Haven't heard this one before, but I'm so glad I did, now. Muse ftw <3

  • what an epic song. god i love this band :D

  • i really like nice solid bass ryhthyms ... so what if they are easy to play they sound awesome

  • The bass player clearly has the most fun in this one

  • Comment removed

  • This song has a beautifully guttural feeling as funny as that may sound.

  • I hadn't heard this but when I heard that intro my eyes went completely wide and I lifted an eyebrow. WHOA. This is one kickass song! I'm really digging the guitar. MUSE... You sure one hell of a musical group.

  • First time i heard this song.... First time i puked awesomeness.

  • We'll praaaay, tha there's no Gooood...

    Best lyric ever?

  • @slipknotmaggot4eva1 Not considering the meaning behind it which is rather insulting.

  • @chiffmonkey

Well, fair point. But only if you believe in God.

  • @slipknotmaggot4eva1 Actually no it's an insult to atheism.

  • @slipknotmaggot4eva1 The line is about atheists actually believing in god but just don't want to admit it, but obviously that's horse shit.

  • @chiffmonkey

Well, to each his meaning. I'm sure christians will find a way to misconstrue it's meaning and label Muse as God-haters. Well, the nutjob ones.

  • @slipknotmaggot4eva1 Actually, they ARE. Matthew Bellamy is on record as being an unnecessarily strong atheist. I have an extreme distaste for him as a person. But I still like most of his music. (Most of it. I like songs like Bliss, Starlight, Supermassive Black Hole, New Born (Instrumental), Apocalypse Please, etc... not really into songs like this one or Uno or Hysteria...)

  • @AcrossTheEchoes

There's a difference between an Atheist and a God-hater. Atheists simply don't believe in God, whilst God-haters actively try to put down anybody with religious minds. Besides, Matt is a spiritualist (He recently said in an interview that he believes in divine powers, and that there is some sort of higher being.)

  • @slipknotmaggot4eva1 I had heard that Matt believes in God, but believes in Him as the enemy. And there's not really a difference between an Atheist and a God-hater if you ask the Atheists themselves... You should see some of the things they try to do to "get rid of" Christianity. It's horrible. At any rate, I hope that Matthew Bellamy is coming to see God as the friend, not the enemy.

  • @Fishpaste0001 If you were really a Christian you'd think before you spoke. I think Muse is awesome. I just don't like what I read about Matthew Bellamy's religious views. If there is hope for him to see the Light, then that would be wonderful! But even if he doesn't, his religious opinions don't seem to shape his music at all. It all seems to be about politics, conspiracies, and some kind of apocalypse. I'm not hating on Muse at all. Don't jump into an argument without understanding it, ok? =)

  • @AcrossTheEchoes You should be thinking before you speak. Pretty much what your sayin is you dont like sin but your ok with what it makes. Stop talking and dont come to a song you don't like and start spamming the comment section.

  • C L I M B I NG U P T H E W A L L S

  • i love the intro to this song its sooooo epic and nostalgic!

  • sweet, a muse song i havent heard yet. thanks schmagoogal

  • This song GRIIIIIINDS.

    In such. A good. WAY.

  • Do people just dislike songs to act cool? get a life its not cool

  • The three people who disliked this must be on craaaaack?

  • The great apocalyptic armageddon of 2012 isn't meteors raining down. It's not the world splitting up into pieces. It's not a flood. It's Muse retiring. But of course, everyone knows it's not going to happen.

  • @IndianaJones664 I quoted you on my facebook, ahaha, that would definitely be the end of the world.

  • @IndianaJones664 yes that would be quite the apocalyptic scenario in my eyes, hope it don't happen!

  • That is the day I lose the will to go on.

  • @IndianaJones664 Aren't they recording a new album atm? Armageddon will be first performance of the new tracks :D

  • @IndianaJones664 it's a stupid theory that the world will end, any one who believes it is a complete idiot.

I would stand by this point even if Matt believed it.

  • @IndianaJones664

well they're going to launch a new album. maybe it'll be too good and no one will survive the awsomeness

  • is it a hidden track? it isnt on my CD, not pirated

  • @shadowhacks35 i know i thought that too

  • @shadowhacks35 It's a B-side but I think it was on the Japanese version of Absolution.

  • @shadowhacks35 IIRC it's a bonus track. Not quite sure how you get this bonus track, though. Maybe it's iTunes exclusive.

  • feel like i'm walking in the sky when i'm listening to this song

  • Does anyone know what the album cover represents? I really want to know.

  • @GreenTwiMuseDay12

It's said that during the rapture, all the good people will be taken up into heaven, and the bad people will stay on earth when it ends.

This is a person stuck on earth watching everybody else rise into the sky.

  • @Sekiath Oh... Thank you!

  • I don't remember this song on my cd...

  • @samuraichickdude I don't think it;s on all versions of Absolution

  • @MuseGem There's different versions?!?!! Well that's fucked. :( oh well I'm missing this cd anyways I'll just have to make sure to get this song when I get it again.

  • @samuraichickdude This song is only on the Japanese version of Absolution

  • IT's a B-side of Sing for Absolution, I think.

  • @GreenTwiMuseDay12 Oh, alright. Thanks.

  • @samuraichickdude Welcomez

  • @GreenTwiMuseDay12

It was also on the Japanese version of Absolution.

  • had no idea Muse would connect to my senses so much.

  • @Starstruck404 no, they said "mega cock"

  • @Starstruck404 xD I never thought of that!!

    But it's "make a fuss"

  • Amazing.

    The band and the song.

    :') <3

  • This band is amazing.

  • Comment removed

  • @LyndzyLentil you can't say music without saying muse though :) I know what you mean

  • @LyndzyLentil well speechwise at least

  • @LyndzyLentil hahahaah you made a puUn!!!

  • @LyndzyLentil that was my joke! XD

  • @Starstruck404 according to a lyric page, he sings make a fuss.

  • *cough* Climbing Up the Walls - Radiohead *cough*

  • @TheLastBaron16: I see the comparison only in the drums. Unfortunately, simple 4/4 beats have been around for centuries. If you're going to compare Muse to Radiohead, at least bring up the end of Citizen Erased or something (Both bands are tributing Pink Floyd, so that argument is shallow too, but its better than this one.)

  • put on some earphones and turn this song on full blast- ITS FREAKING AWESOME.

  • But people, never forget most songs (especially the first ones), have been written up in a more abstract way, so that we've got a greater ability for a personal interpretation.

  • This song has that "wall of sludge" grunge sound going for it, except then the lead guitar kicks in and you know it's better then any Seattle grunge ever was...

  • Has to be played, really, really, really LOUD :) AMAZING SONG

  • Probably one of the coolest intro's I have heard thus far.

  • How does Matt come up with all these awesome songs? If I even had half his musical talent I'd be happy :)

  • Radiohead ripped Muse off with their Climbing Up the Walls song. You can hear how they stole it from Muse's Fury

  • @jibblychupos haha ye... the thing is, radiohead have been around longer than Muse... but i like muse better :D

  • this song is great its just that im christian and he says that there is no god:( wich makes me upset:(

  • @MrXDr3AMZx Yeah dude when I first heard it I was like. Wow. Then he said there is no god which just ruined it all. Same thing with Knights Of Cydonia.

  • @Clooud if god makes you hate music then id rather dont believe in him

  • @Clooud It's music, not a Religious statement. Get over it.

  • @KasimirSchmidt Indeed.

  • @Clooud Think the no god thing just goes with the feeling that the song is trying to convey, like when you get into those moods whenyou just say fuk it, imma do it haha. Nd if you listen close hes saying Prayy there iss nooo Godd To Punissh us, So if hes praying.... hahahha

  • @Clooud wtf is wrong with you. If the lyrics say "there is no god" it doesn't necessarily correlate with the writer's religious views. That's like refusing to watch a film because it has a character which says something you disagree with. Your sir, are a fucktard.

  • @HotFuzz456 Just speaking my mind, didn't expect to be tased by so many Muse fanboys. BTW you sir have a lot of class.

  • @Clooud why thankyou sir!

  • @Clooud

Keep in mind that every song has a meaning specific to the writer. He could well be singing this adapting the persona of somebody else.

Regardless, you shouldn't get annoyed if a band were to believe something different than you, nobody's exactly the same. Be happy, enjoy the music, create a cover with your own lyrics. =3

  • @MrXDr3AMZx I''m coming back because your retardation actually makes me puke with rage. The person in this song actually goes "and we'll pray there's no god to punish us", like he's hoping god isn't real because he's sinned. It shows how he's fearful of god and his power to be honest, and is definitely NOT bluntly stating that the universe is godless. You people are closed-fucking minded.

  • @HotFuzz456 I think the song has been written from Matt's perspective instead. Him being an atheist, I think the song is about scepticism towards the ability of religion. I also think Matt's kind of angry because of the problems religions can cause. I guess that would cover the title of this song.

  • @Jarstlord Moreover, think about the song ''Crying Shame''. It's likely this song is also about scepticism towards the ability religion. It's become some mess and now it would be a crying shame.

  • If anyone asks me "What's your favourite Muse song?", i will not know the answer.

Maybe, I say, the album "Absolution."

  • and we'll PRAY that theres no god to punish us. ironic? hmmm

  • @MUSEicforlife Possibly, but Matt Bellamy puts loads of clever little oxymorons and things like that in his songs.

  • @MUSEicforlife Or he could have just written that line without thinking too hard. If only I could do a shrugging smiley face.

  • if only my computer's max volume could go over 100 :|

  • ive given up on picking my favorite muse song, theyre all too good

  • Why is this listed as absolution when it's not on there? Is it another bonus track like Futurism on OoS or Glorious on BHaR?

  • @chiffmonkey Yes.

  • @chiffmonkey Japanese bonus tracks.

Available on iTunes, but not on the CD releases.

  • @TheDarxo Like Futurism on OoS then :)

  • @chiffmonkey its listed cause... i dont know. but its on the Japaneses Bonus track

  • @30h3isawesome Yeah exactly. Same as Japan getting Futurism on the end of OOS

  • I didn't realise how great Muse were, until I saw a video of them live at Wembley. That's just incredible

  • @GreendayfionaxD One of the greatest live bands ever in my opinion.
