@pavarottithebest : carissimo amico, purtroppo conosco poco - in senso artistico - Pietro Ballo e quindi non riesco a darti un giudizio globale su di lui come cantante. In questa performance, accanto alla compianta Shirley Verrett, devo dire che mi piace davvero tantissimo, e poi : CHE ACUTI MERAVIGLIOSI !!! Insomma : un bellissimo duetto ! What greater accolade need one posit than: THIS IS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE SUNG. The pathos, passion, whatever you want to call it are overflowing in her presentation of this difficult aria. What a shame she never got the "press" of some more flamboyant mezzos. A truly great voice..and many many thanks!
