@Mr1972z Well there is a cold air intake, free flowing exhaust, and a larger throttle body. You could do a new intake manifold as well, but that is usually more money. Beyond that you should upgrade the computer (especially with a longtube header) and that requires premium fuel....neons.org has an FAQ that outlines what modifications for what motor (sohc or dohc) should be done and in what order.

Was the battery tray a complete replacement or just the original tray modified? All I did was cut out a hole in the standard tray.

wher did you get that intake that goes rite past the battery? i had one that was junk it went back over the stock exhaust maniold and i found 1 that you have to re locate the battery to use

It's an old Iceman intake. You can only get them used and you do need to relocate the battery. Originally the kit came with a battery relocation kit like mine. It moves the battery slight back from the radiator giving the intake room.

Settup has changed. I think in this video it would have been eibach sportlines on OE spec struts, rear sway bar, highline front swaybar, rear strut brace, 16" wheels, and khumo tires (195).

@NeonDude20 sounds great I had the almost the same setup by Pacesetter but someone stole my neon, But I used the insurance money to buy and R/T neon. One thing I was thinking that you could improve on is a solid front motor mount and a solid bobble strut. That will help with the wheel hop. on another note I am on DodgeForum, both have great information and a few people that know what their talking about

They don't exist new anymore. You will have to search a couple of the neon boards and pick up one pre-owned. Usually they go for around 100 for something half way decent shape without the battery tray and filter.

Intake is an Iceman intake.

The exhaust is a long tube header, factory cat and piping, finishing with a vibrant exhaust (specific for this car, not an srt or 2nd gen retro fit). They stopped making the exhaust so they are harder to come by now.

The wheels on my car are 16". I wouldn't recommend 17" as they tend to look a little big, but it is a matter of preference. If I was to do it all again I would go with 15".

I can't confirm if the mexican radiator has a larger core, however it will fit. You're best bet is to spend a little more on the aluminum rad that modern performance has. It is MUCH larger in core size and will be superior in heat transfer.

Cost depends. To get that sound you'll at least need a long tube header, stock cat, and a vibrant exhaust. The issue comes with the exhaust because that setup is no longer made. You might be able to find that muffler, and then just make your own tips though...

well i got my kirk for free. and 400 is way too high...all you need is recip. saw and some exhaust clamps and you good to go..maybe 300 if you puy everyything new just make sure you tighten it down every once in a while for the first 50 miles or so...because as the gasket sets the bolts get loose

Not sure it depends. The long tube requires at least an intake and a mopar computer to work effectively. You'll actually loose power otherwise. $400 seems a little much too, but I guess that's including the cost of a new header.
