That's a great mod; really ingenious! On another YT video, someone replaced the original three bladed fan with a square framed, high speed fan, which provides improved cooling...Is that something you've considered? I wonder if such a mod would improved the duty cycle....what do you think?
I did the same with a piece of 16ga plate, as wide and a bit longer than the case, used a bicycle pedal crank cut in half welded together and to the plate, bearing cups are a perfect fit for the spool and rolls on ball bearings

That is awesome man , I am going to do this on my harbor freight welder I have a mill and lathe so I can rig some thing up pretty cool . Thanks for sharing with us
I didn't think Harbor Freight was a chain store and that the only one was here in Dayton Ohio. So they must have a few probably 1 or 2 in Ohio then the same in I guess Va. and probably In. and Ky
Do you worry about the wire grounding out to the case? The wire is positively charged while welding with gas, would cause a spark show? Maybe a rubber grommet would be a good addition?

Not putting down your video just thought it was funny that you made your cart out of wood instead of metal.
piker70 1 year ago
@piker70 the wood was free and metal is expensive so why not

Could you show the inside with the mod I have that welder and would like to mod it like yours.
Thanks

@ncrdisabled there is no mod on the inside or the welder all i did was drill a 1/4 hole in the back of it for the wire to come in
