Seeing this after so many years, it comes as a shock to hear Barbra's young voice. She sounds so very very young, which of course she was back in 1968-69. Interesting to think of every major triumph that would follow in the next 41 years of her astonishing career. Unparalleled absolutely for its brilliance.

I love Idina, but this is one of Barbra's songs. It was an excellent tribute but is incomparable with the original, just like Babs will never be able to nail "Defying Gravity" like Idina can. ;)

@deanher84 This is what bugs me about these Glee fans. They compare a recording made in 1968 with the auto tune enhanced performances done in studios in 2010. Whats also silly is that they don't understand anything about music making itself. The thing that makes Barbra so good theatrically are the choices she makes with her VOICE. She is able to color her voice with many colors and variations. She has total control. Ms Menzel is trying for this, not surpassing it in anyway.
