  • That just blew my mind away!

  • I love this rendition, this is the best!

  • This is a great clip!! No talking, the guy just lets his skills speak for them self.

  • Wow, amazing, I am in aw... My Dog "Bella" (Donna) is watching with wide eyes and ears cocking back and forth. We LOVED this. Thank you for posting.

  • Nice syncopated L/R action Well done !!

  • this guy is awesome...

  • Very good, although nothing less than a full orchestra can capture the song's true beauty.

  • ooo! I want this at my wedding!!! :D

  • Brilliant!

  • AWSOME, Nuff said.

  • woly fuck u fukin rok

  • I also like the dampening - mind you it must be a bugger to keep in tune (64 strings I believe set up in twin courses). A fairly obscure though wonderful instrument - glad to see some people are still keeping the skills alive. Being from Northern Ireland, I was surprised to hear the hammer dulcimer was made for generations in Antrim up until 40 years ago. The (non hammer) dulcimer appears to be a totally different instrument - presumably both instruments had the same common ancestor

  • @Stevieboy130664 I live in SE Oklahoma, US, and every autumn they have a hammered dulcimer festival. The instrument came over with the Scots-Irish, traveled into the Appalachian Mountains and is still popular there today, and then across the US westward. Many Irish/Scots settled here, including my own family, and they brought their music with them. I would dearly love to learn to play myself.

  • wow he is goooood

  • Awsome!

  • Wooooow.

  • This children, is what we call "Mad skills".

  • A truly moving rendition; a standing ovation indeed.

  • Wow, more of it, i love this ode an the instrument

  • APPLAUSE and standing ovation!!!!!

  • TOO MANY DAMNED critics that should just applause rather than critisize and if they must critisize then they should put up a video of themselves doing it better. GOOD JOB GUY. ONE OF THE MOST GODLY SONGS EVER ON THE PLANET KEEP BANGIN IT OUT!

MICHAEL KENNEDY COUSIN OF PRESIDENT JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY

  • The performance is indeed quite wonderful (I wish the performer would put up more), but the spirit of the piece could not be more antithetically opposed to Christianity, I am glad to say (if that is what you meant by godly).

  • Great playing but, holding down the dampener and playing it doesn't sound that good...just resonating too much.

  • I respectfully disagree, I thought it was a great touch

  • @Drausin: to each their own. :-) It still sounds like crud with a dampener hold-down. No one else that I've listened to does that.

  • Definently an outstanding performance of that song!! Was blown away on how good it was done and I have always been a big fan of the dulcimer because of the sound of it just takes your breath away.

  • wow! amazing play... really impressive!

  • Terrific, that was so beautiful, well done.

  • omg. beethoven must be smiling in his grave.
