Jake E Lee kind of gets pissed on. He was so melodic, had the absolute best stage presence of any Ozzy's guitar players, and was a joy to watch and listen to. Underrated and underappreciated mostly due to Sharon. I am a guitar player, but not a freak over anyone, but I think JEL was as good as any of them. He kind of is alright being in the limelight or not.

I had the rare privelage of seeing Carmine Appice with Ozzy on the BATM tour. I believe Houston TX was his last gig which was the show i was at. Later that year i saw Ozzy again in Houston TX with Tommy Aldridge on drums.

I've been looking for footage of this festival for a long time, I can remember it like yesterday, well, allmost hehe, great programm that day, also included def lepard (and quiet riot too I think) , I recorded it all evening long on VHS, cost me a few cassettes and totaly drove my parents crazy, put it on compact cassettes later, listened to them for years, and it wasn't recorded in Essen, but indeed in dortmund, I remember Bruce yelling "scream for me Dortmund" , any footage of that here too?

Ozzy is the worst god damn singer ever to grace us yet millions of people love him myself included. I don't get the appeal but god love him ....

Now Jake on the other hand ...the best player to go through a group of guitar "gods"

@mlmr11 he just sucks live after he departed from sabbath. most singers suck live but hes a fucking great singer onn his albums check out you cant kill rock and roll and diary of a mad man ,believer and basically every song when he was with sabbath is great singing. He appeals because his voice is creepy but still extreamly powerfull plus usaly he sings pretty high pitched in this case he tries it just sounds horrible

I don't think he was very sober here. Bruce Dickinson said that he was plotting to steal a cab and drive it across fields.. Not sure if this was before or after the show, but still...CRAZAY!

THis is a good concert, Ozzy sounds good, no slurring the speech..he seems sober. This is a gem of a concert for the time. :)

Defending keys: I personally love Don's keys, EVEN if they are a little loud in the mix—the ONLY organ problem in guitar-driven rock. But. Don Airey's keys are the sweetest in the trade, and whoever disagrees is a tasteless punk who should be tied to a chair, headphones welded to his head, and forced to listen to The Mummies, say "High Heeled Sneakers" for 72 hours. Haha.
