This video shows how MX8 works in a clean pool. The lovely dance routine. My experience? A single gum leaf kills it. Not only does it get stuck, it gets chewed up and jammed in the mechanism and the unit must be opened and manually cleaned. I can't let the unit run for more than 30 minutes before it packs it in with as few as 5 leaves present in the entire pool (4.5 x 11metre concrete pool). Great unit if the pool is already clean. What's the point?
@whenphilby We are concerned to hear that the MX8 is not performing for you in your pool. Can you please make contact with Zodiac Australia so that we can investigate the issue with you further. You can email apac.aftersales@zodiac.com or, alternatively contact our customer service team on 1800 688 552 - when prompted press 1 for pool equipment enquiries, followed by 2 for after sales and warranty support.
@whenphilby This is exactly the experience we have had. It is a great cleaner. Ours worked better than is shows here. Those who are saying that it does not work this well, I wonder if they need a filter cleaning or something. Ours climbs walls better than this shows, however, it does not take many leaves to clogs this vac.
Note: The Hose float is mounted in the wrong position in this video. It should be 10 inches away from the cleaner mounted on the FIRST hose. per Zodiac
I have one in my pool it works great right out of the box, zodiac have a 2year in field, parts and service warrenty. Which means if it stops working or breaks Zodiac will come out and fix it for you at no charge. (In Australia)
And it does work that well if not better, a big step up from the disk cleaners.
Yea right...the cleaner doesnt work this good when its brand new. Got to love trick video/photography. Oh yea Zodiac is hesitant with their rebates. Be careful buyers.
