Bear in mind that if this was more visible from the nearby M62 motorway it would inevitably cause accidents. When you actually get close to the sculpture in its woodland setting, the 'WOW' factor is tremendous. On the subject of access, there are many paths from all sides that converge on the 'Dream' though at this point in time access is not well sign-posted. When all the landscaping work is complete, I think St Helens will capitalise on this amazing asset.
This is absolutely beautiful. Having seen the unveiling on television and having been born in St Helens, I just had to see the 'Dream' in close up. I have to say it exceeded my expectations even though the work on it is not complete. Access is difficult, especially from the motorway. Although it is necessary to walk about 1/2 a mile from the main road that passes the original Colliery gates, it is well worth it, honest.
Adds to the mystery. If you find the pub nearby, park there and walk up it's a bit of a walk (less than 10 minutes) well worth it though

when you see it from the motorway travelling towards Liverpool come off at the next exit and then turn left off the roundabout.
At the next set of lights turn left again and then its a mile or so down the road on your right.
You cant park next to it so find somewhere to park along that road.
