Frequency IS what determines whether a wave is inonizing or not.... so yes at a certain frequency it damages cells; however, that frequency is MUCH higher than cell phones emit (by a factor of about a billion) the difference from 1.9 GHz (newer cell phones) to 3 Billion+ GHz (x-rays and gamma rays, which are ionizing and actually damaging to tissue)

So far, there is no proof or even good evidence that cell phone use causes brain cancer.
Cell phone radiation is very weak and non-ionizing. Contrast this with light, which is stronger and ionizing. As far as anybody knows, you're more likely to get killed by a lightbulb than a cell phone.

plz cell-phones does not got anything about this tomores to do..why they needed to interview an assistance doctor to get this silly ansvers.remember if you undergo a CT -examination you get 1000 times more radiation than in a cell-phone..mabye even more..if you would suffer any sideaffects from the ct-scan it would still take you about 15-25 years to develope any canser/tumor..

Everyone should keep in his mind that the use of cell phones is growing everyday. Increasing growth simply means increasing health risk.
The only way to protect yourself from the lethal radiation is to use a wired hands free and a metal shield between you and your phone. The phone must then point toward the assumed direction of the base station antenna.

technically cell phones should be called microwave phones as they operate at 2.4ghz the same frequency as microwave ovens

And I read the warming of brain tissue caused by cell phones penetrates 3" into the skull, all the brain of small children. Nuke your brain because you're too damn busy to use a land line. No thanks. I've always hated cell phones though I didn't know the scientific reasons until the last few years. I guess some people are just too "hard-headed" to notice (snicker, sigh).

Mobile phones gives the same amount of radiation as any other electrical equiptment. Remember, to have your brain checkt for tumores will require a CT or MR scan, where CT gives a radiation dose equale to probably 1.000.000 mobile phones.
