That's a three channel system, which is a little cheap for a Benz. It pulses the front wheels individually and the rear as a pair. The driveshaft sensor is the key to knowing this. You'd get a little better braking on a four channel system because it would be able to pulse each rear wheel individually with a sensor at each rear wheel.

@snowrocket Cars with ASR had 4 channel ABS, and had 2 speed sensors in the diff.
