Great message. However usually there are underlying reasons as to why people don't feel they are succeeding in their lives, which can't be resolved just through other's advice. After all, if you can't recognise your current successes (and there are many) how can you be expected to recognise any future successes?

Key to succeeding is recognising your self worth, achievements and the appreciation others give to you. The best way is to write these down until thinking about these becomes a habit.

I have to agree especially with the issue of friends. A young friend of mine was always complaining to me about the friends he had in school. Way to many issues to list here. I asked him if there were any qualities in his friends that he liked, he told me no. Then I pointed out to him that the he should find the people who he trully wanted to be like and to hang out with and make friends with that group of people. He was able to do it and is now doing better in school and having fun.

I think you are using success where you should be using happiness. Also we owe a lot to the narrow viewed people who become doctors etc. If they got distracted (or happy even) we wouldn't have enough of them. Their manic obsession is our healthcare.

I really need to get my boyfriend to watch this. He is going to become a doctor, because his foster parents are doctors, and they think he should be as well. But he is a natural musician.

even when we were kids he would sit outside for HOURSE and just listen. he once told me "there is music in the light." He can play basically everything, without even having learned it. And written such elaborate songs. And he is going to fucking throw it away (he knows it to, but just whats to make them happy)
