It is not uncommon for a hole such as this to appear from underground caverns caving in. In Missori, USA it has happened and the holes are very round. It's mother nature. It has happened in Oklahoma where there are old mines from the days when the dug lead from the ground there. It is now a superfund site. check it out online. Tar Creek.

Its happened in other old mining town areas, too. The tunnels collaspe and the earth comes down on top of what used to be a tunnel system. The earth on the surface then collaspes and eats homes. People have died in the USA, also. Sometimes, the house is totally ruined.
