  • You stinky French would still be sining "Deutschland Uber Alles" and doing Hitler salutes if not for us Americans saving your sorry asses again and again.

Oh, by the way, what are you French going to surrender to next? You have already exhausted the list of enemies to surrender to, and I suspect you will be surrendering to your own reflections the next time.

  • Hey, at least we beat the Brits, but the same can't be said about the French... You maybe in a boastful mood right now, but the next time the Germans take a talk in Paris, you French will certainly come crying to the Americans again. Yeah, you cheese-eating surrender monkeys never learn.

  • WTCs look better than a French whore house for sure.

  • Ever seen a french man run at 50km per hour? It's possible, but it requires some german aggression.

  • @by78 it's possible just by mentioning war involvement.

  • Yeah but TGV is French... nobody likes the French.

  • Super Train by the poor house

  • You are right, these houses look like they belong to Hiroshima and Nagasaki after the atom bombing.

  • 中國的進步太快了,令世界震驚。

  • crh-e2 国产高速鉄道车 made in china

  • True. The Acela has a bad reputation...it REALLY is not very fast.

It hits 150MPH in just ONE section: Near the Massachuetts/Rhode Island state lines! And, the Acela does NOT cover much distance overall: "Boston, Philidelphia & Washington, DC".

China, way ahead of America for High Speed Rail. Why? The Corporate Railroads & MY Government DON'T want to spend the money...since the early 1980's.

  • At least America HAS a high speed train

  • Sammydenyc, Very true. And, 25 years late.

VERY limited: Boston - Washington,DC only? Unacceptable.

The 1 Hour PBS TV Program "NOVA", highlighted the VERY plan to bring Bullet Trains to California:

    "Tracking The Supertrains

While America's passenger-train service deteriorates, trains in Japan and Europe are speeding ahead at over 150 miles per hour. NOVA reports that the super-fast trains are finally coming to America.

    Original broadcast date: 12/14/82

    Topic: technology/engineering"

  • No, we don't have any High speed train. International definition for high-speed rail is 120mph, and of course, we being Americans, like to have our own standard, which was set to 90mph. Fine, but Acela averages only 86mph, and therefore is not a high speed train even by our lowered expectations. Sigh, it's time to roll up our sleeves and do some real work to improve our infrastructures.

  • EXCELLENT! O_O

  • buy and then create, that is

  • The British were the original Train pioneers. But post WW2, the French, the Germans, and the Japanese became leaders in this HST & Maglev technology.

But Fact is China is the only country which is implementing the new technology. You can say it's because they're just showing off. But it's really because China is rapidly industrializing at never seen before rates, while the Developed world is aging and incapable/unwilling to fund new exciting projects like Transrapid/Maglev.

  • China new technology???

China Buy and then modificate no create.

    CRH2 Japan technology.

    CRH3 German Tecnology.

  • @ortegote German technology (ICE3) is present in all industrializing nations looking for a fast, high quality train system.

Spain, Russia, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and now China have all bought their railed Mercedes'

it would only be a matter of time before we have our own "Mercedes" in the states!

  • @b199er Transrapid/Maglev has been existant for 30 years in GERMANY so as with the CRH3 Germany has been the father of yet another flashy transportation system and received very little recognition for it.

  • OH--slow..... Copy technology??

  • The USA does not beat china in technology, probably Japan beats USA AND China, but USA trains are crappy conventional diesel Amtraks, and hte fastest one is the ACELA, which runs slower or just as fast as Chinese high speed trains.

  • world's first commercial Maglev train in Shanghai China

  • china is probably no match in japan when in high tech, but it sure kicks the USA's arr big time, tell me that crappy amtrak you all have does not beat the chinese high soeed trains, and your only "high speed" train if you can call it that the ACELA, runs slower, or just as fast as a chinese high speed train.

  • american train real slow, boston-new york

  • @ROSN19 well then tell me this,

which countries gave you these trains which run at a higher speed than ACELA and just how much American dollars cost you these projects

(like it or not the USA is your economy because with out your sweatshops and cheap labor, you are back to farming and weaving your own clothes from silk worm feces)

  • @Amtrak1194 the very nature of american ecnomy determines that american have to buy stuff from China. if you didn't the rest of the world would just take over the huge market and cheap labors. and if you do something against the nature of american economy your economy collapses.

  • @Amtrak1194 american don't have these high speed train technologies. China imports some of them from japan and germany and also innovated a lot. if you don't wanna go and check , don't speak.

  • This is the Japanese Shinkansen super express,"HAYATE",E2 Series!

The CRH2 is made with a support of JAPAN!

The Chinese do NOT have technology of maiking such trains!

    Read the Wikipedia!

    E2 Series Shinkansen

  • Well, u really dun have to say this again and again.

Although those state-owned TV stations didn't mention about the origin of this train too much, most of the ppl who has internet access can easily find that out. I have seen plenty of debate in the chinese BBS that based in mainland china about this issue. Everybody knows it, but so what??

  • High speed train system is not something so complicated like F22 that only a few organizations in the whole world is able to develop and manufacture. I bet u 100 bucks that within the next 5-8 yrs, u will see the chinese technology based high speed trains getting into service in China.

  • Yes, China has no match for US or Japan in term of high tech today, but it will not be the same story in another decade or so. Tell u one thing, by the time I left China for school in 2002, owning a family car in my city is still something most ppl never thought about. And now? go take a look

  • btw, actually the biggest issue about chinese high speed train system is not a matter of where to get the technology, it's how to re-construct the whole railway network to make it fit the requirements for future passenger trains that run at 300kmh+.

Most of the CRH2 trains run only at 160-180kmh on the current railways, that's the problem

  • hey, the funny thing is, all those stupid foreigners think they are some holly human rights protectors...

why dnt u just get it? we chinese feel PERFECTLY COMFORTABLE about our own situation in china..i hav been living in UK for 5 yrs, i dnt feel any better here, actually i really want to leave here and bk 2 china as soon as i get the damn master degree.

so, stopping giving ur STUPID comments on those silly human rights issue, we r good, we dont need ur suggestions. it's NOT UR BUSINESS.

  • Somebody is so funny, CRH2 is an E2 type which was built until 2005. It is newer than the Type 700 (1997-2004) which still serves the busiest trunk lines in Japan and on which Taiwan's 700T was based. How is that old? LOL

  • The most important thing is, China is such a vast country that he needs high-speed trains, much more than Japs need. So why not import high-speed trains and put them into good use? Who cares where the technology is from? Eventually China will absorb all these things and they'll become his teks. Think about it: Why a country like China that can send astronauts into space would worry about the integrating highspeed railway technology into his economy?

  • Let me lecture you something more. We also buy technologies from Canada, Germany and France and they called CRH-1, CRH-3 and CRH-5. We don't care where do the technologies come from, the point is we learned and we captured them and finally being able to develop the next generation of high-speed train by ourselves. why are you being so jealous, because your country's economy is not booming or something?

  • It's regretted, however, that China develop absolutely nothing.

    CRH-2 is old-fashioned shinkansen itself.

Chinese government doesn't get shinkansen technolosies but buy old-fashioned shinkansen itself and their license.

Some of old-fashioned shinkansen manufactured in Japan and They delivered to China in utmost secrecy.

and then Chinese goverment change their name from shinkansen to CRH-2.

  • japan has been using E2-1000 since 2002. you call that old-fashioned? what about CRH-3, its prototype is ICE-3 which is currently used in Germany. So sainas2341, would you please restate your point. it's almost like you are not a big fan of China. China is developing still, and what is the problem buying technologies from some developed country? whatever you comment, it doesn't change the truth that 21 century belongs to China. you just keep being jealous pathetic

  • I'm Sorry very slow reply.Yes, I really hate Chinese govenment.Chinese govenment flouts the standards of human rights of its citizens .but I like China culture, Hongkong and Hongkonger's verbal ability!Well,CRH2 is old-shinkansen itself. China don't developed CRH2.CRH2 is Copy of E2-shinkansen .China bought shinkansen'intellectual property right.and some E2-Shinkansen(CRH2) is produced in China.China is concealing the fact that CHR2 is copy.and China talks nonsense for CHR2's proprietary format.

  • you probably haven't been to China before. How dare you comment on Chinese government? You are not qualified. We don't want American style double standard human right. Japan is nothing but a America's flunky.

  • China couldn't develop anything my arse! China managed to send astronauts to space twice and wheres Japan? The high tech stuff China develop are mostly applied to the military while Japan is civilian thats why you don't hear much about Chinese developing things. Go grab some military/science related articles and you'll know China is quite advance in certain fields.

  • Because your government distribute human and money resource to the specific field.

People of the inland area in China are serious poor.

Your government ignore their lives and develop rockets and millitary technology.

  • Well I get your point but you are looking at the surface. What do you think China's been doing since 1990? Preparing for War? China since its economic development has lifted an estimated 200 MILLION Chinese out of absolute poverty go GOOGLE it. China has more middle class than the entire population of Japan, continue. . . .

  • but yes millions are still poor and the Chinese government didn't ignore the lives of the citizens. China has 1.3 Billion people OK it doesnt take 10 yrs or 20 yrs it takes at least 30 - 50 yrs to improve so many peoples living standards.

  • (Continue)

It seem to be very very strange for us.

In Japan,if there were poor people,we would not spend useless money.

Limited money would be made use of improving lives of poor people.

So most of Japanese get high standard of living.

(Social security is the patent of Communist, isnt it?)

You had better claim to your government:

"Improve our standard of living! No more Rockets!"

  • Don't be biased against the Chinese government. Economic development happens for a reason and that is to improve the lives of its citizen. If China didn't care for its people then it would be like North Korea, or those African countries where they just left its people to die. China's economy is now the world's 4th largest and in terms of PPP estimation it ranks 2nd behind the USA. Thats improvement and moving up the income ladder. Don't be naive.

  • here here.

  • Even if you think Chinese government was trying to hide something form the citizens but how are you gonna explain that everyone (even you-propably a foreigner)knows about the so called "truth"? I mean would you please think it over. You don't think this is still a top secret to Chinese people, do you. As we all know the major media is not the only way to acquire all the information. We have internet don't we.

  • chinese media should report this bullet train came from japan.

i wonder why the media don't mention that.

i would like chinese pelple to know the truth.

do they have no right to know the truth?

  • they are still made in china but everybody knows it's the japanese's technology since it's called the shinkansen....it's impossible for such a complicated project to be 100% made by chinese and it's even more impossible for a country to learn a technology that has been around 30years within a few years!!!just a thought!

  • the first 3 train were indeed manufactured at kawasaki and from the 4th to 9th train, they were assembly in china with components imported directly from japan....and from the 10th to the 60th train will be assembly in china with some components made in china but still more than 50% of the components imported from japan.

  • It is common knowledge that Chinese don't have common sense.

On the whole,Japanese upper class are stupid or traitor.

  • LOL... and you Japanese have common sense, right? If so, then why did you attack us at pearl harbor? I mean, didn't Hiroshima and Nagasaki prove to you that you Japs have no common sense? Now go screw yourself, you mustard-colored little monkeys.

Oh, I bet this will irk you too: how do you write your name? Is your name in Chinese characters? How odd? Oh, I remember now, the Japs were the cultural bitches of the Chinese in ancient times, just as the Japs are America's bitches today.

  • Comment removed

  • This train(Shinkansen bullet train

    ) made in Japanese Technology.

But The Chinese government never give Chinese people no information.

Japanese has given up Chinese conscience.

    The Chinese government is burglary.

Japan DON'T assist development of Chinese society.

The Chinese government DON'T thank Japanese for our support!

  • it sounds like you are japanese but whatever your English sucks and you are extremely irresponsible for posting this comment. what do you know about Chinese government. the truth is we bought japanese technologies and absorbed them finally we are able to build our own high-speed trains. what you see in this video is CRH-2, China owns 100% of the intellectual property rights. it is not a japanese train any more

  • stackatfontys

Did the Chinese government give Chinese people complete information about the Chinese govenment bought japanese technologies ?

  • The first 3 CRH2 trainsets were still manufactured by Kawasaki at Hyogo plant.

In fact, according to a Japanese media, most passengers know that its based on Japanese technologies.

  • wrightbus

Did Chinese media report about the Chinese govenment bought japanese technologies and CRH-2 was based on Shinkansen technologies?

and Nihon Keizai Shimbun(Japanese media) criticized Chinnese medea unreported about buying Japanese technologies.

  • sainas2341

I found some media in Mainland China reported that China purchased high-speed railway technologies from foreign countries, but some media reported as "CRH2 is self-developed by China", which Nikkei criticized about.

  • wrightbus

Thanks for your time and help on my question.

  • Oooooh... We Americans never received thanks from the Japanese for correcting their aggressive behavior. After Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings, all we heard from Japan that we committed major atrocities in those cities by wiping them off the map. How UNGRATEFUL.

  • Yes, I heard of this many times from two of my former Japanese classmates, and denied the invasion in WW2, I thought that's Japanese cultures to do so maybe
