  • awesome video well done

  • Thats what I said when I saw that plunger stick in a local store WTF lol.

  • Where exactly in San Jose? I have always wondered where there is enough room to fly.

  • @flyinman89 This video was specifically shot at the field between the CVS shopping center and Evergreen Valley Community College near the intersection of San Felipe Rd and Yerba Buena. These park fliers are fairly flexible. Most school campuses are usually big enough. You just need a little field to land in. I've even flown mine at my daughter's elementary school, which isn't very big.

  • awesome video !! - bad landing

  • that looks awesome!! nice video!

  • I havent even finished the video yet, and I must comment on the awesomeness of the, well everthing.

You sirs have a future, and i would like to watch it happen.

  • Great job with the editing.

  • nice editing and music

  • Awesome editing! Loved it ALL!

  • That was a great intro and editing. Most people who attempt it, ruin the entire video. Not only was your editing perfect and right on time with the music, it was funny as hell too.

  • Oh my..

Me and some friends fly at that exact location every Sunday, and sometimes Saturday, at 9:00Am - 12:30Pm. (Not the exact time, but around there.)

We actually used those streamers from Longs as well, but they recently closed down and turned into CVS. CVS doesn't have streamers. =\

How often, or what times, do you fly there? If you drop by at the times I listed above, your bound to run into one of us. =)

    Also, awesome video/editing. 5/5.

  • We've been on a bit of hiatus from flying for a couple months now. Work, etc. always seems to get in the way. We keep talking about getting back to the field, but it doesn't seem to happen. Hopefully, we'll get some time over the holidays, but we don't really have a regular time. It's usually somewhat spur of the moment.

  • that was superawesome

  • HAHA great video dude.

  • must stink if u crash at full speed

  • Yes, it does. I can attest to this. I've crashed and rebuilt my Stryker multiple times. Once I wasn't even able to repair it, because it "exploded" into so many pieces.

  • lol that was awesome, 5/5

  • That was really funny, awesome video editing!!

  • haha great video :D

  • love the video! kudos to the editor

  • Nice video with excellent editing skills and flying! Si from the UK.

  • EXCELLENT video and editing!

  • I went ahead and tried this thing in my 18t and it works gr8! I made it all by myself and i may make a vid soon to show that i used an airplane motor and 10 cell batter in an 18t! tell me if any1 is intrested.... thanks and VERY nice and funny video!

  • If interested. Give it a shot and send me a pointer to the video when you've got it.

  • WOW that is a cooooool runnin horse at 3:26 hahah! i was wonderin if this motor/ esc could go in my 18t...? any comments?

  • I'm not sure. I'm not familiar with the 18t. Sorry.

  • Great video!!! good pilot

  • I had to create an account just to say:

    Nice edit Scott !

  • nice!!

  • the cloud at 3:28 looks exactly like a running horse.

    Nice video

  • Very observant of you. I'll share your observation with my young daughters, and I can assure you it will not go unappreciated.

  • Put on some 2 color streamer, so you can tell which is up! :)

  • No joke! Trying to figure out which end is up has been a real problem with my flying. I've destroyed my Stryker multiple times because I thought it was facing up when it was really facing down. In my latest rebuild, the bottom surface is navy blue and the top surface is florescent pink. I no longer have that problem now. It works great!

  • What is the name of the song

  • The first song is the Royal Philharmonic playing the theme to "Mission Impossible". The second song is a novelty song from the '70s by Ray Stevens called "The Streak".

  • Was that a dildo they were selling there LMFAO!!!!!!!!! great video 5/5

  • where is that? do a lot of ppl fly there?

  • It's near Evergreen Valley College. It has a rather loyal following that shows up every weekend. I think some of the guys may actually fly there every day.

  • good timing wit the audio...

great and well put together overall

  • Is that the longs drugs in La Jolla?

  • No, that's Longs Drugs in San Jose, CA. (They all look alike.)

  • Hilarious!

  • Thanks I think you sold me as soon as I get some good experience with my yak I get the Stryker. Thanks for the tips and help. Also, you should post some more video of your stryker you did really good on this one lots of laughs.

    *Sheldon*

  • Ya I was noticing the difference in price and factoring that in. If I bought the stryker I'd by the artf version and use my own radio system. Is it really hard to control the stryker cause I don't want to just be crashing it alot even though a new fuse is only $20. Does it handle really well at those high speeds what is it up to 80mph? Can you due stunts rolls loops etc? Also, do you know if the xpd-8 rolls loops and how fast is it?

    Thanks

    Sheldon

  • The stryker will definitely do stunts. You can do all sorts of rolls, loops, etc. It has a switch you can set which will reduce the range of motion on the elevons for beginners, but even on the beginner setting, it's still very easy to do rolls and loops, even at half-throttle. I've crashed and repaired mine about 5 or 6 times. I only needed to replace the fuse once. If you already have experience with the Yak-55, you should be okay. Stryker is faster, but you can reduce throttle while learning.

  • Great video. I'm new to rc planes and after I learn to fly with my yak 55 by hobby lobby I would like to get a fast plane. Can anyone reccomend which would be more fun and durrable between the Stryker and the XPD-8?

  • I've always been interested in the XPD-8, but never actually tried one. It looks like a cool plane. The Stryker is rated for a higher speed, and has a bigger wingspan. I like having a bigger plane, especially if it's moving at high speeds. It helps visibility and looks neat too. I can't disparage the XPD-8 though. It looks like a good plane, and like I said, I don't have any personal experience with it. The XPD-8 is more affordable too.

  • Great job editing. I liked the tight edits and timing the video to the music. It took you some time to edit it and you made it interesting considering it was really just two streamers attached to 27C Stryker. You may not take a bow.

  • Good montage !

  • Brilliant what is the name of this music???

    Thanks Redflyier

  • The first piece is the original theme from the 60s/70s TV Series "Mission : Impossible" performed by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. The next song was a 1974 novelty song from Ray Stevens called "The Streak".

  • What Youtube is all about!!

BTW "what kind of store is this"LOL

  • should have used YELLOW ...it matches the decals...nice vid!

  • great video i love the music and the plane!!!

  • Kudos for a job well done. Entertaining video to watch. Thanks.....

  • Great video,great editing.

  • Is your stryker completely Parkzone Stock?

  • Yes. In fact, the one in this video has never even had any repair work. It's still in near mint condition.

  • Getting one ASAP. YOu use the stock LIPO right>?

  • Yep...stock LIPO, stock motor, stock controller, stock everything. The plane is very well optimized. I'm sure with some effort there are probably some changes you could make that would result in some incremental improvements, but the plane is already pretty awesome straight out of the box.

  • I've just got one and have been flying for a week now. I fly on low rates. I think I will try the streamer! Do you fly on high rates? Yu fly it really well, I can do loops and I did 1 roll but no split s types moves yet. 1 crash though due to the high rates, I didn't know it was one. Motor mount broke off, 15 minute expoxy and its good as new. I don't count that one!

  • You'll need to fly full throttle after you add the streamer, because it adds a lot of drag. You'll definitely feel it. Maneuverability is reduced as well. I've had to repair my Stryker about 5 times now, due to devastating crashes, including epoxy for the motor mount and also a complete rebuild with a new body.

  • WOW!! great video!!! nice work, with the streamer, the editing, and esp. the flying!!!

this will be my first PNP plane with a new DX6i radio... i cant wait!!!!!

  • Nice man!!!Well edited!! Ever think off putting more then one on?

  • We talked about putting one on each wing tip, but lost focus when we mounted a camera on the plane instead.

  • Nice editing!

  • AWESOME!

  • Nice nissan 300 in car park.

  • without a doubt, your little posse came up with the best online clip of an RC plane...i'm not gna put mine up now lol...that was wicked lads, well done!!!!

  • what kind of store is this? lol i laughed pretty hard

  • WOW, amazing vid! whats your video editor?

i have a SC, i might put some streamer on it... it gets along nicely with a 3s lipo and high Amp parts i the stock rx...

  • I just use the basic one that comes with Windows...Windows Movie Maker (also known as WMM). Almost anything you buy will be better than WMM. If you don't already have WMM, I think you can download it for free from Microsoft's download website.

  • WOW! nice vid!!! hey, im thinking about getting one, would you recomend it for a beginner?

  • I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner. It moves pretty fast, so there's very little margin to recover from sloppy mistakes. I continually crashed mine (in a big way) the first four times I flew it. For a beginner plane, I'd recommend getting your feet wet with one of the HobbyZone planes like the HobbyZone Firebird Freedom.

  • no, super cub

  • lol nice video man

i would like to buy one

but i know how to fly glow trainers so i would what one because they have guts and cause im over beginner planes really over them so would you recomend one or there way to hard to fly for someone that does not have much flight time

  • get a supercub! easiest plane ever to fly!

  • whats a supercub?

  • parkzone supercub, google it. there great :)

  • Thats Great!!!

    I love it!!!!

  • i love the start music

  • very good vid

  • Finally, an RC video editor who can do timing!

Excellent flying, camera work and editing. Thumbs up all around.

  • Nice vid, I love the "what the...? what kinda store is this?" next time I really think u should double the streamer...

  • hello i'll be buying one soon...

nice vid it really made me smile not alot of R/C vids can do that :)

  • Im only a beginner and have the 27B not C. That is quick enough to learn with. Be nice to fly like you! And mine is a bit slower and heavier these days due to being glued and taped up after several crashes! Oh well, its all good fun..

  • Great video great pilot. Very fast plane. Not for beginners. Foam does explode on impact, just ask me!!

  • I have no need to ask. I've experienced it firsthand about 4 weeks ago. My Stryker is in lots of little pieces right now.

  • Great video great pilot. Very fast plane. Not for beginners. Foam does explode on impact, just ask me!!

  • Thanks! (from Chris, the pilot) The Stryker is an awesome, awesome plane!

  • amazing video. loved everything about it =)

  • excellent video love the "what kind of store is this?" cool.

  • great video, I am thinking about buying one.

How does it fly in the wind?

  • I took it out in some heavy winds today, and it flew great. It's very tolerant to heavy winds. In fact, as park flyers go, I'd say the F-27C is the most wind tolerant plane available.

  • lol awsome video.. or should i say awsome editing

  • thats awsome haha

  • Wow i think your on to somthing!

I keep burning my planes .....lol keep up the good work

  • Yes, the streamer idea was a much welcomed epiphany. That damn flag kept flipping my plane upside down.

  • thats one awsome vid, thx for posting!

showed a lot of video editing skills and great sense of humor!!! keep it up

  • lol, theres a place near San Francisco Highway 101 called Sierra Point, theres ALOT of people flying theres on Sunday at around noon, there're also an RC track there ^_^, all home made and out door

and wow, can't wait till my Stryker get delivered
