@HomingMissiles I think satch himself edits these videos. or at least is there while people edit them. I could be mistaken though. However, he does editing to his own vids while on tour and he draws his own pictures. He helped disign his line of guitar straps/picks.

it's amazing how he increases his - already fantastic in studio - songs as he plays them live. That's my favorite Joe's song , fast, full of energy/sustain and has an awesome melody! That's Joe Satriani! Shame on the video editor, though (live dvds should aalways be raw, the gig as it was, only overdubs allowed).

Joe's creativity doesn't come from psychedelics and drugs. It comes from his extensive knowledge of musical theory, which he practically knows inside and out. With that kind of knowledge, it makes it far easier to write great music. He was one of the few of his time that put in the effort to master the theory, much like Vai.

I don't know why people attribute extensive imaginations to drugs. I've come up with crazy things all my life, from music to art, and not once have I ever tried drugs.

I love the DVD I bought of this concert, but yes the effects are way over the top. I just wanted to see Joe and band like in all the other videos/concerts etc. So I mostly listened as opposed to watching the video. Nice try Joe I hope the next DVD concert has less effects, more of the clear picture. Thanks for sharing.

When I saw him lie, when he played andalusia he had psychedelic fractals going in the back ground with shamans dancing and blowing smoke (shamans are known for psychedelic use)

Ive always imagined Joe as a clean livin' man preserving his brain for the phenomenal amount of music he has to remember on any given night ...but who knows ...he might be one of these freaks like Keith Richards that can bend their heads and still play hot!!!

@Hivequik Yeah! ...Its more than likely Joe is blessed with an extreme natural imagination. he's probably experimented with psychedelics like many artists. he is probably the most imaginative guitarist ever. Joe always seems to find fresh and innovative ways of presenting electric guitar music. Some people can pull it off without chemical inspiration ...Im pretty sure Salvador Dali relied on his natural imagination for his painting and many other things and his imagination was extreme!!!

Our brains are made up of chemicals and thats what creates the reality we experience (how do we know we are not hallucinating right now, we are all jsut using the same chemicals in our brain). and psychedelics LSD mushrooms DMt are all chemical brothers of the chemical serotonin and fit the same receptor......but anyways, nonetheless, satriani, hendrix and vai justt to name 3 are huge inspirations to us all
