@Icedmetal57 It wasn't a literal question so much as a statement conveying my interest to find out more about the lovely man, but thanks for assuming my inability to read. (:
@ScarfaceAsh Yeah, of course. I was just messing with you. But in all seriousness, definitely look into him more, if not his show Bored To Death which is just hilarious.
I loved this! Never heard of Jonathan Ames or that show before, but he rocks! Anyone who's willing to say that kind of stuff, and show insecurity like that on TV (whether it's true or not), is best kind in my books.
that was juuust sooo goood. GOD Janathon Ames is so amazing and different. I'm admiring this interview and him so much. HE was worrying that he was dull at the begining! So adorable.
The true awkwardness of this interview I don't think can be fully realized. It was strangely awesome and totally only would happen on Craig's show lol.
I get a little tired of genital and gay jokes on all of TV..........but Craig is still the funniest late night host, as well as being intelligent and even serious when he wants to be, and his facial expressions are just as funny.
Faux frontal nudity. great line. I agree with previous comment that Craig (who is so funny) talked too much and over Jonathan. Nevertheless, I loved it. And, Craig, you are in no way GAY, NTTAWWT. Jonathan Ames - Aspergers - maybe, and he's very funny.
"I don't think I have Asperger's" has to be one of the craziest lines uttered by a guest in the history of talk shows. That implies he's seriously contemplated the possibility of being mildly Autistic. Which is ironic because, a. if you're aware of Autism like tendencies you don't actually have it, and b. it's another potentially embarrassing aspect of his personality he shared since he was concerned the segment wouldn't be entertaining otherwise, an indication of high social awareness.
@bernman23 Indeed. In fact, his over sensitivity to the social environment created as a result of his self-supposed awkwardness, may ironically be the reason for his feeling of social misplacement, which in turn drives him to view himself as borderline autistic. So I guess you can say that not being autistic in any way, is the actual reason for his obvious paranoia. -- But you gotta admit, he's weird in an awesome way ;)
A huge chunk seems to have been edited out between @08:34 and 08:35. Note Craig's cup - one second he's drinking from it, 2 seconds later it's on the farther end of the desk... I wonder what was cut out. Did Jonathan really show his penis?
If there was an episode in Bored to Death where Jason Shwartzman as Jonathan went on Craig Ferguson's show, it would have been exactly like this.

Would be nice if Ferguson allowed the conversation to breathe. The interviewer ought not be doing 80% of the talking.

Quite amusing; both guys at their best. I only wish that Ames had used the word "imply" instead of "infer," as he should know -- being a writer!

The only thing that would make this interview even better would have been the two of them making out in the end.
On my fantasy list of sexy times with Craig, him making out with another guy even tops him making out with me.
