  • Lmao wooooo

  • I dont know why but the moment I started emulating an ambulance, I felt like I became spongebob

  • Oh and they don't have a second soprano section so I have to sing with the higher sopranos -.-

  • I'ma Second Soprano and I've been told that I have a strange voice (Similar to people like Zooey Deschanel though she is way better.) And I can't seem to find a uncracking higher note. What can I do to help it? Please help, I have choir in a few weeks!

  • wow she went too low ! i'm a man and i can't go that low daaame

  • Well, Can you make a video About Like when you would be like singing with your church choir& one of the people have a REALLY High pitched voice& You Always try o sing as high as the rest of the people& you do it but then your oice goes out,it happened to me in my church's play.lol.(:

  • And how can I tell if I'm using my diaphragm right? I get air into my stomach and it extends but I don't know if I'm using it right when I sing..

  • @DJDStackz you know that you're using it right by the way the sound comes out, and by the way it feels. Sound production is projected from your core(stomach area). YOu just know it.

  • Thanks for the advice! I've been using my head voice for the 3rd note type of songs. I sing Pop Punk like All Time Low, Blink 182, Yellow Card, etc. Buy after I sing, my voice gets higher pitched (I have a REALLY deep voice). Is this normal? What can I do to improve my voice? Btw, singers say that I'm a bass at singing.

  • My videos have an example of head voice. It really has that resonance to it as opposed to falsetto.

  • my problem with these videos is that the tricks ALL make you sound like a retard

  • My problem is how I just automatically switch up from the song's note to a more comfortable one and its difficult to me to regain that initial note ,,,I just like to change pitch a lot and it seems like I can't control

  • German ambulances don't sound that way.. So i really can't do it.. I'm sorry lady

  • @JesusNiettoTalkz Oh plz, don't be sorry. This was a tip to help that's all. If you can't relate, then you just can't relate..

  • "Um, well.. *scrunches up face*"

  • ya say immolate a lot! well this helped so much! thanks

  • loved this video i wanna build up my voice

  • 3:45 advice THANK YOU!!!!!!! i could never find my head voice and the siren emulation helped a lot.

  • can u inbox me I have qustion can't reach it mobile

  • What about a person that has never doesn't sing, but would like to learn, how would i start off

  • no... you just change the entire pitch of the song if the song's too high or low but you really want to sing it. you don't adjust your voice to the song(you can't! you wre born that way!) you adjust the song to your voice lol this is really basic...

  • Hi, thanks for the video but I`m still worried about my voice, I`m a kid 13 years old and I`ll start play guitar and song after christmass, should I wait untill that? or start to practict to sing other song while I`m on computer and do something or should I just wait? Just don`t like my voice at the moment :) Can`t finde my head voice :)

  • my high notes always come out as a falsetto. i think that's why i always end up running out breath or sounding awkward/strained when hitting those high notes. i can't even find my range :(

  • @kaoruhyung Yes, it means your voice is just not connect enough. Your upper resonating notes are not resonating fully and your cords are open giving you a falsetto sound not a full voice sound. If you sing those notes and pinch your nose and if your sound cuts in and out. That means you are not fully resonating out of the mouth. Building a fully connected blend voice does take certain exercises. So, you range is going to have to be under the break, until you build your blend voice.

  • @taneshawalker ne, do you have some exercises that can help me find my full voice or at least my range? i've been reading a lot about it but i guess i just don't know where to start. lol

  • @kaoruhyung Yes, I do... It's 8 week Course that I give. First sign up for the Free 14 day challenge to get you started. :)

  • @taneshawalker woo! how can i sign up? is it available online? ^^

  • @taneshawalker Oh my, because of the tip you gave about holding your nose while trying to hit head voice, i can now determine whether im in head voice or falsetto. Im hitting head voice so easily now its unbelievable .. you are just the best !

  • You talked about the five notes, and indeed, they are just where you said they were. But in the video you only go to number 4? That is head voice. Now I am wondering: what is five?

  • Lmao am I the only one who thought dirty at 2:40-2:49 lmao huh huh right here huh huh

  • Hi im Austin im 15 years old and i cant get my headvoice working its like everytime i try to do it i make a chewbacca noise or something lol..But i really really want to learn how to do it. You can look at my youtube vids to see my range.

  • @THEAUSTINWAGGONER Well I got a chance to listen to one of your songs and I must say, it's not as bad as you may think. You just need to open up more and sing more from your core. To know more about that you need to click the link under my video to get a better idea on just how to do that.. Hope to see you on the other side.

  • thank you very much i just cant tell you how much i learned and improved my singing from this video thank you very much

  • hi i used to be able to do my headvoice and im practicing and i can sometimes get it but not all the time and sometimes it feels tight and i think its because of my tonsils they are really big. could it be because of my big tonsils? and i use to sing high notes when i was 10 to 13 then i stopped and now im 15 and its really hard for me to got to my headvoice any help will be good thankss.. hope u's can help :D thankss

  • @cacafranny Hi there, no your tonsils has nothing to do with being able or not when hitting high notes. If you are a boy, then chances are it's puberty. However, you have to practice to be able to use all of your resonating notes. You also have to warmup the voice in order to get the tightness feeling away. So, training is very important. Sounds to me you don't really practice enough.

  • @taneshawalker yupp i dont practice a lot thanks for your advice i will practice and train to get the results that i want thanks . and is shouting really bad for your voic as well? because i always shout at school.. hahahha

  • @taneshawalker and also i can get it sometimes sometimes i dont? does that mean i can closely get it if i keep practicing and practicing,

  • I could listen to her speak all day

  • Is that jumper genuine muppet skin ? :-0

  • @callerz1 BA! ROFL

  • i tried it..& it worked

  • your voice is freaking low for a lady. crazy.

  • I really like that siren trick. Makes sense.

  • Good one!God Bless you too =)

  • Thanks for the respond..Do you have online lessons?

  • Comment removed

  • I'm a singer.I wanted to know how can you strengthen your head voice..Please respond the advice would be much appreciated ;)

  • @Renee04241986 By using the diaphragm and closing the vocal cords more to give you a more sharper sound. I would recommend voice training to learn how to do this correctly. Do you have a Vocal Coach? If not I have a exercise that can help build the diaphragm very quickly. Just check the link blow the video to begin. Good Luck!

  • Wow I love this video! (I'm one of the girls singing in the shower you was talking about :p), thank you very much!

  • This is great advice! Thank you.

  • how do you know when your singing from your diaphram/chest/head voice/ throat.? this is a serious question too......

  • OMG SO dum lol

  • THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST AND EASIEST TECHNIQUES IVE HEARD FOR HEAD VOICE...THANK U SO MUCH

  • This was super helpful. I've wanted to learn to at least be a tolerable singer, but I could never get my voice past a deep sound and I'm a girl. :( I'm going to try the ambulance technique to see if I can get up higher without cracking. thank you.

  • Comment removed

  • how many people felt madd dumb for sitttin at your pc tryna sound lika ambulance??

  • @britina101 Actually they won't even do it.. It's about finding the fun in your voice.

  • @taneshawalker Hey, quick question, I am a very good singer, but my felseto (high voice) sounds a little to... how do you say... opera, i sing R&B and I dont know what iam doing wrong, any tips? I just turned 16, going through puberty, could be the reason for it?

  • @britina101 well not until you pointed it out.... hahaha

  • @britina101 BAHAHAHA

  • @britina101 They might "feel madd dumb" (whatever that is) but you really should know that this is a proven vocal technique widely used in vocal training to help singers relax and help improve their vocal quality.

  • the head voice that she's making is kinda funny ...lol.. but cool!

  • Although she's teaching people things they know, like they must sing with the diaphragm, that doesn't mean they know exactly how to sing with their diaphragm. So don't bullshit here. I wonder if you are a little kid trying to be a genius or something. Because if you are, then you're really are a genius from the bottom.

  • @SHKBx3 You clearly do not understand what a tip or trick is? Some people just need a way to access it without all the explanation added to it. Just a simple trick to help. If they want more, they can click the link for free exercises. And If you are a vocal coach, then why don't you make a video and teach them to sing.

  • @taneshawalker I actually wasn't talking bad about you. I was actually talking about OnnenRyu's comment lol.

  • I think I might have forgotten to add something to my comment lol. I think what I wanted to say was to OnnenRyu, and that you were just trying to give a tip to help. Yeah..

  • Ms. Walker thank you so much for this. I am 16 and am using YouTube tips such as your own for self instruction since I cannot afford a vocal coach. Yes... I am a beginner. I feel like I have a natural singing voice that can be unlocked with a few tweaks here and there. How long do you think it would take for me to be say, somewhere around your level?

  • when i played it at 2:47 my mom thought i was watching something else... lol:D but nice video

  • i watched like 15 videos in the past hour and your the first person who i really understood, the beggining was like you were talking about me, thank you so much

  • Im 16 and i sing for a rock band. I can't sing in head voice , only chest and falsetto. It's really starting to annoy me cause i don't know how to get into head voice. I need to be able to sing higher

  • @TradeMistakes You are going to need to develop your diaphragm. That where the full sound will begin. How committed are you to wanting to be able to sing higher? I know you say you need to, but are you willing to take singing lessons for it. Cuz, that's what it's going to require..

  • @taneshawalker develop your diaphgragm? wow you are an idiot and a scam! head voice is a technique, it does not depend on your diaphragm what-so-ever.

  • i cant sing...everytime i try its like im just poetically speaking....or humming or breathing loud :((( i can sometimes get the notes but it doesnt sound clear and nice wtf!! i play guitar...i love music...i can hear me being a very bad singer, and not being in pitch but i still cant get my voice to the right notes or put it in the right power for singing :(

  • @mathiasLEcurious Oh I'm sorry, you sound frustrated with yourself.. Maybe singing is just not for you. Playing the guitar is also like singing. Make your guitar sing for you.

  • Nice sweater

  • My voice is kinda weird I'm 16 and I love to sing and I know I have voice but I can't control it comes out when it wants to:( when it dose though, I sound like the male version of Britney Spears mixed with something else. I hope I can control my voice someday. :'(

  • @Kisstherainbow123 Yes, I can understand what you mean. I think you not using you diaphragm fully. If you sign up for the free lessons this could help to be on your way to controlling it better.

  • @taneshawalker Your just telling these people the very basics that they could learn anywhere like the obvious "get lessons" or "use your diaphram" do you actually know anything about singing? Or are you just shooting for a half lacent youtube fame that just never seems to come. Because if its your intention to help people by offering them something that these other videos dont offer, then your doing a pretty bad job.....

  • I was wondering if there is a way to find out if either i am a soprano or an alto. Thanks :)

  • im 11 and i can do all the high notes proparley weird stuff but awsome

  • imitating the sound of a police car sounds stupid, but you have no choice :) if you want to reach a high note you have to ... by the way taneshawalker .. thank you ! =) i searched a hundred times in the internet , but you're the best :) i'm sure you're a professional singer =) godbless :)

  • @jazminekyu Hi there, I do that just so you can feel when the head voice is located. This is just the example of the beginning. There is much more work to be done to develop the head voice. Glad it help you find it..

  • I am always singing with my head voice, on the lower notes too. I can't sing with my chest voice :(

  • Thank u i will keep trying :)

  • I can find all of those voices. i guess what my problem is, is trying to get those voices to sound smooth when i'm transitioning from one voice to another. Do you have any advice on this and if u don't understand what i am saying let me know, i'll re-word it for you. thank you and God bless!!! <3

  • @Unlockmydreams73 Hi, I know what you are talking about. Training your voice is that best advice I can give you. diaphragm Core work is very important in smoothing out the resonating tones. It takes time so I would advise you to get a Coach for this work. You will have to train a series of exercises. My free lessons can get you started. However, my 8 week course will take you much further. Take Care

  • I can't even emulate an ambulance!!! :( !

  • Hi Tasesha .... How to sing with my own voice ? or how to find my natural voice ?

  • @gopdeep How to find your natural voice. It's the voice you talk with.. The one that is not forced in any way. Find a at least 3 Singers you like, that sing in your range. The voice that is not to low, just the one that feel comfortable. Try to sing it acapella until you feel comfortable with it. You'll find you natural voice. Hope that helps. Take Care

  • like this if u watch dis for the babe

  • That's not even high.

  • @freshpinescents Good for you!!

  • Sorry but that did not help MEat all :(

  • @1351blondie Sorry for that!! Sometimes learning head voice take a little bit more time. Keep working at it though, oneday you will find your head voice. Take Care

  • If you don't mind @taneshawalker what is your skpe name?

  • wow she's really pretty. i'd like her to be my vocal coach so i can take her out on a date :) she seems really genuine and nice too

  • Immulating ambulance or police sound hurts my throat..

so what should do to prevent my throat from hurting?

    please Reply @taneshawalker

    =)

  • @DipeshChawla18 Babe, the whole idea of this exercise is for you to use your diaphragm. I have the feeling you're not using your diaphragm. Your throat should have no pain. Do you know how to use it?

  • @taneshawalker hahahaah but m not babe

    LOL

anyways yeah i do...but while making this sound i cant use my diaphragm...

so would you please tell me how to do that using my diaphragm?

    =D

  • @taneshawalker Well, I have a link below the video, if you want to know about how to use it, sign up and get started. Take Care!

  • hey tanesha - great exercise - simple and very effective. many thanks from new zealand:)

  • Miss Tanesha,my lawd you got it going on...love your speaking voice...it gets attention.

  • hmm.

  • Thank you !! im going to practise being a firedruck for the next few days. :))) haha it really helps!

  • No, I wish I did.. but there is always Skype

  • ok I hope you live near dallas I need a vocal coach bad lol my voice is good but I can't find my voice

  • Ok I understand, but how do you now customize your head voice, i notice has i go up; it tends to be a bit heavier (or is the technical term darker).

Its almost as if i am missing sum "head sound components" like getting it a bit nasal , getting some from my mouth as well.. etc . I know how to bend it with that chesty sound..but haven't figure it all out with the head. Its like unlocking all the sounds in your head, based on tone placement.

Could give me any advice on this miss?

    Or maybe a video

  • @kadeemdexter you're talking about the blend voice to have more of a stronger stable sound to it. It can be the richer side of the voice. However, the most difficult area to master. Patience my young grasshopper. Asking for texture and more closure of your cords needs a lot of work and more than one exercise. Training is require, this is not so and is not so cut and dry. it's a process, learning how to resonate on all of your tonal notes. Sign up 4 my intro lessons, that will help a lot.

  • @taneshawalker Gee thanks Tanesha! I'll sign up right now ;-)

Umm what exactly is texture though?

I don't what it means in the realm of singing.

A love singing, but most importantly I love the growth process of it; so training to me is always fun.

Am definitely in it for the long run.

  • "find your own voice". Does that mean that I have to sing with my own unique voice? Sing with my speaking voice? I hate my "real voice". It's too rough and sharp.. i've recorded it several times, and i simply hate it. Im ashamed of my real voice. So the real question is: Do i really have to sing with this voice to become a good singer?

  • Can you make a tutorial on how to determine your voice type and range.?

for example.. how do i know what type of voice i have, like do i have a Alto Tenor Voice, Soprano Voice Etc..

it would really help out a lot..

  • can i ask? how do i know my vocal range, great video btw

  • Do you know anyhting about post hard core singing? I know I need to learn the basics though :/

    Would appreciate a reply.

  • @Rmho4hhs Are you meaning Heavy Metal.. No I'm not familiar with HardCore Singing. You'll have to give examples. However, if you know you need the basics, then why don't you just train your voice so you can do Hard Core Singing.

  • is it harder for someone with a low voice to access head voice?, I have a vocal range of E2 to F4, if i strain my voice i can reach a B4 (Does not sound very well though)

  • @95eriksp Happy New Year! No people with low voices can hit head voice.. It's just being able to find the resonating tonal note located in your head. You don't have to strain to achieve this. Luthor Vandross could do it very well. Even Barry White could achieve this. So, It's possible, through training. Hope that helps.

  • @taneshawalker Happy new year to you too :)!, Oh okay :) thanks:), well my falsetto range is E3 to C7 but im not sure if it is falsetto or head voice :O, and i have one more problem. Connecting Head voice with Chest voice, im just not sure how to ''slide'' without having a little break in the voice.

  • Tanesha, Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

  • Thanks for the postings Tanesha. I'll be doing some studying. I like the way you break it down so it's understandable by us musicians that are naturals and just coming to terms that we need some type of training to realize our vocal potential.

  • Is this the same as falsetto?

  • @HARDxCOREproductions Well, Falsetto is the head voice. However, Falsetto is more about sound production. You know when you hear a voice that sound more hollow and whisper sounding not so full. That's more falsetto. It's not full head voice. That's the difference. Falsetto sound more from the Throat, Full Head is really supported by the diaphragm and blends better with the Chest Voice. Hope that Helps some. I'll have to do a Video about the differences. Take Care!

  • I like this lesson....

  • Hi,I've being trying to find my head voice for over ten years,at times i think YES i've got it!! Then it dissapears back to where ever it came from. :(

  • @jennyomalley I know.. The head voice can be tricky. You just need to have a clear understanding of your resonating tones. Once you know that.. Finding and keeping the Head Voice becomes easy.

  • Hello , im a teen16 and i was at school in music class and my teacher told me to do the siren thing that u did at the end of the video and so i did ett and i hit it really high and my teacher sed i can hit a really high note but the problem is i still sing in my normal voice and im having problems trying to use my head voice and i really dislike the sound of the head voice but i really want to use it can u help please?

  • Hi Tanesha, I am doing the exercises from your free gifts. I just started trying the diaphragm exercise and I easily get tired when doing it. I have to stop because I feel my diaphragm is going to explode and my lungs are drying out. Am I doing it right? I guess I really have tight stomach muscles since it's been like that since I was a child.

BTW, I really love the way you teach! :)

  • hey is head voice for example, your ah will be haaa?

  • so if yu get your tonsils removed it helps??

  • @sexibabydevil5500 Hi, no not at all.. tonsils does not control the production of sound, your vocal folds do that. Head Voice is just a place of resonance of sound. Now, if you are having problems with your tonsils, then by all means maybe you should removed them. Hope that helps some.

  • Hello I am not in Choir but i love singing, and i heard this song called rock with you by michael jackson, but the drama teacher told me i have to sing high in order for that song to sound good for me.

  • @PeacePerson209 Well, you sound sing it in the same key as Michael Jackson for it to sound really good. If you sing it under his note, it won't sound as good. Now, if you change the key of the song and sing it in the key that works for you, that's another story. However, you have to change the music first to another key. Anyway, I love that song..

  • Haha! I'm going to try that with the ambulance! XP That's going to be hilarious! When my family hears it they'll think it's a real ambulance coming

Thanks for your tips by the way ;D They seem really helpful, I'll be training with them =).

  • I have been singing for like two months now, in choir as well as a course I bought from Brett Manning. I am doing okay I suppose, but I can't find my head voice. These exercises helped a little, but I still hit a wall and go flat midway throughout my chest voice range. I have been told it is because I have my tonsils still, and they are average I suppose but during sinus/allergy season, it is a major pain as they are almost touching.

  • @nfarnham2008 Hi there, no it's not because you have your tonsils... I still have mine and it's no problem. Singing is in the Larynx area. Tonsils are in upper throat area. It sounds to me like you're not supporting your notes enough. diaphragm control is a must. If you don't know how to do that correctly then the notes will not project properly. You should signup for my bonus exercises, it's a gift from me to you! I have a really good diaphragm exercise. Very intense, this will help a lot.

  • hi im a guy and my voice is baritone, everytime i try to emulate the ambulance I go automatically into falset....how the heck do I switch off that falset?

  • When i hit notes i get a terrible pain in my thoart for a couple of days. How can i stop this from happening?

  • @16Krazzy your making your throat tense, just pratice relaxing and drink lot's of water! k bai!

  • Thank you for explaining, I always thought it was weird that I could sing lower and higher but my middle voice isn't as strong. And it does crack.

  • i sing as a countertenor.but i am not comfortable in singing the alto or soprano parts in our choir anymore.i did pretty well when i was young. but now im kinda forced to still sing the alto or soprano parts.when i sing alto i sometimes use my chest voice..is it bad??should i sing using my headvoice all through out?

  • @aravis123 Hi there! No definitely sing Alto in chest. It won't sound nice if you sing in headvoice all the time. Only use head voice when it requires it. Hope that helps.

  • @taneshawalker thanks alot ^^

  • Thanks 4 the vid. I couldn't help noticing the beautiful sweater you are wearing. I'm a sweater fanatic, and the one that you are wearing is absolutely gorgeous, girlfriend!!!

  • @Sobreya Thanks sweetie, my mom give it to me. I have other videos, that can help you further. just check on the link.

  • @taneshawalker

Will do and I have subsribed.

  • fine as a baby diaper

  • Great video! When I do my head voice training I usually imulate a crying baby, haha!

  • @musewolla Hey that's also good! Thanks for that...

  • @musewolla LOLOLOL

  • i love so much but here in iceland were dont have music school what can we do

  • @afroaz1 That's Great that you love to sing.. To help solve your problem there is always online singing lessons you can do to learn how to sing. All you have to do is signup with my link below the video, and this will get you started. Happy Singing!

  • Im trying to figure out if I should sing as a tenor or go deeper. Im a 17 year old Male.

    D:

  • @TheSeriousHumor You can't choose what range to sing as, you get what you're naturally gifted with. Find what the lowest and highest notes are that you can sing in your modal register (pure chest voice) and look up what your range is. Wikipedia has a decent article on vocal range. Adult males are usually tenors.

  • @AdvaitSarkar Well, too bad I don't agree with you.. I was able to build my range in both directions. You do have naturally abilities, however you can teach yourself how to go lower and higher. And I know this, because I did it for myself. I'll never limit myself or a student with just the standard. That's just me.. Take Care

  • @taneshawalker Of course you can build your range. I don't deny that. By strengthening your upper and lower registers you can extend the range of notes you can produce. This is demonstrable and very real. However, your classification as "tenor", "alto", "soprano" etc. depends on the core set of notes that you can produce in your modal register. Nobody's limiting anyone here. There are baritones capable of hitting high Cs and sopranos capable of hitting F2. It's just a matter of classification.

  • @taneshawalker Here's an excerpt from Wikipedia that probably explains what I'm trying to say better than I can: "Vocal range itself can not determine a singer's voice type. While each voice type does have a general vocal range associated with it, human singing voices may possess vocal ranges that encompass more than one voice type or are in between the typical ranges of two voice types. Therefore, voice teachers only use vocal range as one factor in classifying a singer's voice."

  • @taneshawalker [continued] More important than range in voice classification is tessitura, or where the voice is most comfortable singing, and vocal timbre, or the characteristic sound of the singing voice.

For example, a female singer may have a vocal range that encompasses the high notes of a mezzo-soprano and the low notes of a soprano. A voice teacher would therefore look to see whether or not the singer were more comfortable singing up higher or singing lower.

  • @taneshawalker [further continued] If the singer were more comfortable singing higher than the teacher would probably classify her as a soprano and if the singer were more comfortable singing lower than they would probably classify her as a mezzo-soprano. Sopranos tend to have a lighter and less rich vocal sound than a mezzo-soprano. A voice teacher, however, would never classify a singer in more than one voice type, regardless of the size of their vocal range

  • @AdvaitSarkar We'll Wilkpedia couldn't have said it better. Take Care!

  • Great Video!

  • @taneshawalker.. i went to SCREAMOpants's page also, he is absolutely horrible, i even listen to that genre of music and its still bad, from a vocal standpoint even on the parts where there actually is singing.it was just.. well i dont believe there is a word to express how bad it was. just sayin ha ha

  • is headvoice falsetto? i can do the siren thing easly but i sound like a girl, i wanna learn how to sing the 3rd notes

  • Lol at imitating the police siren sounds!

  • didn't learn anything from this... Just saying.

  • @SCREAMOpants Yes you're right.. I went to your page to here what you do. And There nothing you can learn from me. Your sound is in a genre all on it's own. Good Luck with that.
