Point being that you could make an argument that Russia is both Eastern European and Northern European. You could never argue that Russia is a Nordic country however. :/
looks like you dont get the point. the varyags and slavs lived together and were the beginning of russias history in moscow and novgorod. the kiever rus was more slavic than moscow and poland is more slavic than moscow. the rurikiden are the most famous example. about the turkic speakers, UK had colonies in the whole world, why they still europeans? moscow and novgorod are a little bit different than kiev.
today, russia is more white and nordic than even germany. :P

I really like the Nordic countries, and I think the music goes very well with the pics. I especially love the pic around :38 where they're in what looks like Viking-era garb. :)
