religion, I already know basic Latin (took the National Latin Exam on two levels, got Cum Laude for both)

Welcome back, good idea about teaching basic Latin. I think its a great idea, defiantly give it a shot and see how it goes. There are already too many religious/anti religious vids out there.

how about a bit of both? :) I'm studying languages myself, and it still bugs me that I couldn't choose latin because of other languages I felt like I had to pick. :D So that'd be intresting...other than that, my favourite videos so far are the one when you respond to VenomfangX about islam and the christian creation museum video. :D So a bit of both is the right way to go imo. It's nice to have you back btw. :D

I recently read an interesting article about learning Latin in the misconceptions that go along with it. Apparently learning Latin doesn't help to learn other Romance languages more then having learned any other Romance language. It might even be a stumbling block. The study compared students who first learned French to students who first learned Latin in how they were performing on learning Spanish.

Those students who learned French before were less likely to make grammatical mistakes that came from an erroneous transfer of grammatical rules.
