  • dang!

  • sounds great !!

  • blues has just been in a slow decline since the seventies

  • I really like robben ford's music

love to try a dumble one day!

  • ANyone know what model bass guitar that is...

  • @Duratek

    Looks like a Fender Coronado

  • Ford: Shuffles and Bebop. Spits out licks just like the sax.

Gotta love the sax. This tune is old and great.

  • What guitar is Robben playing here?

  • @62Miles Is a Fender Robben Ford signature xD I think is about 8000$. An awesome guitar

  • JEDI MASTER

  • 10 ppl are deaf!

  • Godlike.

  • Very, very nice!!!!!!!

  • Great song, band, and performance. I didn't appreciate Robben's singing until now. Anyone notice how low the drummer has his stool?

  • Amazing! Everyday there is something new to discover on youtube. Of course Robin is an insperation.... Thank's 4 sharing!

  • Awesome!

  • roscoe ,the guitar bloke and tom ,how cool is this?

  • roscoe ,the guitar bloke and tom ,how cool LoL

  • great

  • is this song from him? where can i find the lyrics!? great player

  • Mr. Smoothy...he never looks like he's working...just flows

  • Robben's playing is nearly always tasteful and melodic. The bass playing here is fine; the drumming is excellent!

  • Roscoe Beck lays it down! Yeah!

  • sweet!

  • NA GUARÁ - A MÚSICA PA' 'UENA!!!

  • RF is so good!

He might be my favorite blues guy.....???

  • es un monstruo

  • Wonderful

    All the Best

  • awesome drumming by Tom, mullet and all hehe

  • Fender Esprit. Somewhere along the line they tried mass producing them and quality went to the dogs, and they discontinued making them. He uses them a lot and REALLY pricey Dumble Amps. Put Robben Ford gear in youtube search and he walks you through his gear.

  • WTF?

  • my new fave

  • Under rated musician as well as guitarist?why?

  • Because people like stupid pop music...

  • You guitar was asleep?

    anthropomorphism

  • Roscoe Beck. 2 good

  • Kyle Brock

  • waht is the name of the bass player? he played with erick jhonson too I think...

  • is it Roscoe Beck?

  • I saw this dude in the mid-nineties at a small venue in Spokane, Wa, and i forgot how good it was; until now.

  • His phrasing is pretty much untouchable!

  • IT IS THE BEST THING ABOUT HIS PLAYING

  • ty man!

    great ;)

'd be beautiful have the Rhumba Blues exercize vid from the same DVD

    S!

    d.

  • haha that was awesome thanx abraham for showing me this haha ;)

  • nice piece, and listen and watch that fender coronado bass !

  • I haven't seen this much sweet interaction in a 3 piece since "cream". . Very nice.

Drummer plays very well but has to watch his volume. He got to learn to "cook" at lower volumes. Which Ive seen him do before. Thats when the band soars.

  • You can see on youtube for free i hear.

  • Where can I get this track? Is it only on the DVD? Has anybody the tab for this? For Guitar/Bass and Drum??? It´s just dope :)

  • Hi, this song is called "I don't play" (By Willie Dixon) and you can find it on Robben Ford's album "Mystic Mile".

  • Have you heard the original track?

Little Walter on Best Of L.W. Vol II

    It's killin!!!!

Personally I'm not a big fan of this fusion version. I do like R. Ford though

  • Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

    Grandma Mary

  • Blues really does own ...

  • RF is a modest singer.Plays very well.

I agree with the drumming : great!

  • robben ford is a greta player!!! has alot of soul and reall knows music more than anyone who just "shreds" with such distaste! long live real musicians!!!

  • @Wh00terman So I guess you can't "shred" Nor would you want to I'm guessing, but more you can't.

  • truly inspired drumming as well

  • Now this is good. great groove, tasteful guitar - he even sings pretty good.

  • really good. Incredible drums!!!

  • robben ford is so relaxing.....his voice is really nice and his tone incredible....really good guitarist

  • first time hearing him play.. i like it

  • I have an 85 Fender Flame that looks just like it but in black. Same head stock exactly.

  • The guitar he is playing here is a Fender Robben Ford with humbuckers-there is a clip on here where he explains about the development of it-an attempt to get a bright les Paul'ish sound, but lighter to handle-I beieve RF uses a combo of Dumble/Fender Twin rig, with processors.

  • kick ass tone, performance, todo mundo.

  • i saw robin ford at the blind pig in ann arbor michigan .. he played a "whitish" tele all nite long. fantastic show but the real freak treat was roy rodgers who opened for him. had never heard of this slide virtuoso, and that just reminded me to look him up on youtube .. :)

  • That white Tele is his 1960 model.

  • I love this drummer. He has such great rhythm.

  • He's Tom Brechtlien, bass is Roscoe Beck. GREAT players from Robben's Blue Line period. In my opinion the best band he's ever had.

  • This two guys are also good studio musicians. They played for many great artists for their studio albums, such as Jennifer Warnes at many many others.

  • Roscoe was on the last big Dixie Chicks tour.

Tom has played with many jazz greats.

  • Clapton is good but he is not the best.

  • robbens a great blues and jazz player

  • that would be only a compliment on clapton's side. All of them are on the same level! If you read Allmans or srv' bio you'd see the same thing vice versa. All of them are brilliant guitartists. that is all to it man.

  • All Eric Clapton followers who never heard Robben Ford make me laugh. They all think Clapton is the best blues player of all times. Ask them if they ever heard Stevie Ray... and they'll go, Stevie who?

  • i am a clapton follower,a s you say, but i love SRV and Robben. they are the greats, they all have a unique style, i love them all

  • boy that guitar sound really rcks

  • what guitar is that? Gibson or Fender - flame?

  • If my first child had been a boy instead of a girl, I was plannin on naming him Robben - HA. Guess you'd call me a fan!

  • I almost named my son Robben too. But we decided it wouldn't be good for a boy to have what sounded sorta like a girl's name. Anyway, the guy rules. He always has total dorks in his band though -- albeit great musicians.

  • roscoe beck f'ing rules

  • mmmm. i love he's music. and he's not hard to look at either.

  • Cool!! Roscoe Beck on the Bass!! Eric Johnson's Bassist! of course all of them grew up in Austin, TX

  • We are all together from the same Big family of the Blues, Jimi Hendrix, Steve Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore, Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, Jon Butcher, Jean Luck Ponty, you and me, enjoy the Blues, move your body, move your soul, for this reason you are here, yeah...

  • this guy's killer. tasteful and smokin' at the same time. damn.

  • Guess that goes for the whole band. A delight!

  • this is freakin' sweet! i never would have thought to play blues over a rumba pattern on drums...wow...

  • i´m actually more of a jazz guy - but this is NICE! more robben for the people!

  • roscoe beck rulz

  • MUITOO MASSA MESMO !!!

  • Tks, man... Great band...

  • This is what called TIGHT BAND . damn !

  • My favorite 'Blue Line' tune. Thanks for posting this!

  • That's the Fender Robben Ford model. What are the chances that he would play one of those?

  • great band. super tight! Nice funky bass, love that warm, punchy tone. Drummer is just excellent.

  • great.

  • awesome drums-great trio-robben ford legend

  • I have this DVD (instructional). Made in '92, I think. This trio is killer. There are about half a dozen songs the band performs live, and they're all great ("ughhhhhhhhhhh" notwithstanding.) I have great respect for Mr. Ford's musicianship and outlook. Thanks for posting this.
