I think this is one of the best live versions of Space Cowboy, if not the best. Sure, he is getting older, can't hit the high notes and doesn't stay in exact tune all the time. But he does an amazing job with the voice he STILL has left, the band is in perfect condition and this version has just an amazing feelin' and vibe to it... Anyone agree with me?

i also saw a lot of live shows during my long life (i'm old as JK) but this is one of the tightest live bands out there,

saw them few times and it was always memorable and funky .

Even though Jay doesn't hit high notes, there's a 97 performance where he chose not to hit high notes, and that was nearly 10 years earlier. So it's not a given that he has to when performing this song, whether he can or can't. Jay did a much better performance in 2007, a year after this, where again he didn't hit high notes, but his voice had wonderful clarity. Jay's voice is never going to sound as pure as it did in 93, even if he didn't smoke, as everyone's voice changes as they get older.
