I worked for schwans for 9 months, you work for slave drivers...I put in 70 plus hours per week, they ask you at your interview what your hobbies are...I put down you have no time for hobbies w this job..lol
Foods Good but WAY overpriced. Ice Cream's AWESOME. The hours SUCKED...Well correction, if you're single, have no life, nothing but free time, no other obligations that require off time & you can let work be 90% of your daily schedule than Scwhans is the place for you & you can make some nice money. You can spend as much time as you want building your routes & drumming up business & if you're crafty about it like I was &have 2 or 3 retirement homes & daycares you'll clean up. Easy work,BAD hours
@wisdometernal I don't know how schawns got the reputation for being WAY overpriced. When a lot of the food is cheaper than most grocery stores, and it tastes a lot better.

I used to work for Schwans, and I bought most of the things available on the truck regularly just because its that good. But unit price/quantity comparison to the supermarkets in MY area, (Harris Teeter, Farm Fresh, Food Lion, Kroger) they're ARE overpriced for comparable items.Great products though;Triple berry pie is GREATNESS.

So take the 407, 5lb bag of chicken breast, at costco for 5lb it is 18.87, in the book it is listed at 16.40. On top of that it is not caked in ice and it tasted a lot better than costco. I eat some of the single serve dinners and they are 4.45 from schwans and i just bought a little dinky chicken breast meal from safeway for 3.99. I can spend the extra .46 cents. The pizza is cheaper too.

I bet this guy worked 18 hours this day and made about $140.00...Straight commision work, sucky pay, long long hours and the benefits are pathetic...If you hate someone encourage them to work for Schwans, believe me you'll get even.

@zachwurth Thanksgiving at Crooked Schwans means working the week b4 Thanksgiving 6 days straight for 14hrs per day then working 3 days straight for 14hrs per day-thanksgiving and friday off without pay, and the weekend off then working another 6 days straight 14hrs per day one day off then working 5 days at 14hrs per day. if you actually ran routes you would also know it is not "what you put in it" because areas have different demographics. That statement tells me you really dont even run
