Question for Rob- I've seen many of your videos on youtube. So many of them seem to be done on the "Mayeee" sound. Is there reason that that sound is favored in your videos? I'd really like to hear some different vowel sounds, "ah" for example can be really difficult for me and also "oo" at these higher pitches and this register. It'd be great to hear a piano/voice song in this register to hear what you're doing with different consonants, and vowels. thanks.
@brywool At TVS we advocate 3 primary training vowels; "Eh", "Ah" & "Uh". Because the vowel drives the physiology inside, the training vowel you use and the associated vowel modifications you make in TVS are VERY important for building great vocal strength and coordination. Of the 3, "Eh" is probably the most preferred, at least in the beginning, so this is why I use it mostly for the online tutorials and videos. However, training the other vowels is totally acceptable and encouraged.
I checked out the samples on Pillars 2 and I have to say that it sounds very cool. I really like the idea of practicing in scales other than the major scale. I'm also saving up for some Skype lessons because after those 4 lessons that I had with you, I hit notes that I never thought would be possible.
@Puissance Sounds great, yes, there will be 35 of these audio tutorials with 35 new vocal workouts... along with about 60 high definition videos... coming soon! Glad you like it. Who is this by the way?
