Concerning Texas Security can make traffic stops but it can only happen on private streets and the Security Dept. has to have written authorization to enforce signage and safety rules such as speeding. The driver can refuse to remain and leave if he so chooses but the officer has the right to notify the driver of the infraction. Enforcement of safety rules has to be posted.
People understand its a job and give respect and ill bet you will get the respect. Police is retroactive and security is proactive and people get ready law enforcing is being privatize slowly but surely please Google private police in the US
looks like you have proven your security vendor is aweful.. no officer safety, that guy with the basket ball could have clocked him. your officer was too busy messing with his note book and was walking in a posiion he could not even observe the guy. You looking for a law suit. Good luck with that Vendor.
Harsh man. But true... Cis aren't cops but they act like them... Ruiz your company really is a prank in a half. Why don't they deploy you scum bags to South America and see how far that gun gets shoved up your ass.. You guys do love crime areas compared to where I been in my life....I don't understand how people actually comply to what you ask? LMFAO i'd send you to hell if you asked me something you guys just don't have that authority.. You have a gun? whoopy do most Floridians do
I enlisted in the Navy at 23.. CIS wanted to hire me, but they just don't pay enough it's like a smack in the face man.. I would rather work for KFC or some food chain then to run around making like 9-10 an hour it's like a i don't care just take the peanuts and put your life on the line.
You should, he literally crushed you with verbal insults..There's like no returning back from them.... And yes, the money is over sea's but the chances of you never making it back are high, the terrorist groups aim at killing ICT on site, it's just not worth it. Plus CIS pay's peanuts i'd rather work in Wendy's with A/C then to carry an armed weapon getting shot at for a little bit of money.. So everything future deputy said he's correct CIS is sad and should just quit.
If this is the critical intervention in Florida they're wanna be cops, pull people over and think they're the law... But they're not... One of them almost got stomped a couple hundred times for acting tough with a Florida LEO officer...
@Futuredeputy I dont know how laws work down there, but levels of security depends on client need and state your in. I know up here, we have red/amber lights with sirens and make trespass stops (traffic stop without traffic purpose for stop) with vehicles on private property all the time. As far as acting like cops, you should explain to what you mean. I know in texas, their security get the ability to run lights and sirens to emergency calls but dont get to make traffic stops.
I thought this was one of those Officer Homicide statistical videos...I noticed the Officer had his eyes more on his Notebook, walking with his head down and barely made eye contact with the subjects....maybe he'll be the star in the next up coming Officer Homicide video. be safe.
@mazzarrone1 Who doesn't look at their notebook while writing, and how do you know that the officer didn't already do a pat down on the subject for weapons. How many times do you see a deputy on a traffic stop turn around with his back to the driver while walking back to his vehicle. In this line of work you need to be aware as possible of your surroundings but you can't avoid all life threating situations.
