  • Love Audi cars!

  • it is my sons car, the Audi 4000 with 350 hp, I am looking for a manual 5 speed conversion for my Audi Avant daily driver

  • hey, im from belgium and i have the same car. what type of rear spoiler is that?

  • @SuperSpetnaz Hi. This is an original spoiler which came with the car from factory. On the Audi 80 B4 It was an option I think. Maybe it was only available for the 5- and 6-cylinder models because until now, I never saw a 4-cylinder with this spoiler. Go to google picture search and type in: Audi_80_B4_rear_20071206.jpg

On the first picture, you can see this poiler.

As you can tell from the duplex exhaust, this is a 5- or 6-cylinder.

    Greetings from Switzerland!

  • respect man. very nice looking car, like new! and cool dog :) (Y)

  • I have audi 80 cabriolet with same engine.

  • I have three Audis, my daily driver 1989 100 Avant in of course red,in perfect condition an 86 4000csq with 034 mods with 350 hp and an 1983 URQ, black paint, mild mods chipped lowered garage queen, easy to drive the avant, hard to drive fast the URQ, wheel spinning fast the 4000csq, nasty car, will always spin the rr tire on dry pavement in 2nd gear

  • @urquattro196 Wow, you have a 4000 AND an Ur-Quattro! I envy you... Great cars, take care of them!

  • @MrLowAltitude your car looks marvelous, dent free, and by the by, I see you do the same thing I do at my 57 years, tap your feet together before you get into the car to keep dirt out of the car, SWEET, you ever need Audi parts at my cost, just ask

  • @urquattro196 I'm sorry for the late answer, I have been pretty busy the last few days.

I always try to keep my good old Audi a bit clean you know. It's a very good and reliable car, even in hard winter time with lots of snow. So I try to be good to her too with keeping her clean and taking car a bit. It's cool to meet an old Audi fan from the USA on YouTube! Thank's verymuch for your offer but I think shipping costs to europe would be damn high... Thanks anyways! Greeting from switzerland

  • @urquattro196 Oh and by the way: I took a look an your red Audi 4000. What a beauty she is, wow! Congratulations to this sweet car. I wish I could afford such a nice old Audi!

  • I love these audis! Take good care of her!

  • @LilNeku Ye, me too. I will... She has to last another 5 years at least before I can buy a new one. But maybe I don't want to buy a new one. I will miss the 5-cylinder sound when you can only hear those stupid hybrid vehicles with their tiny ass asia engines on the road...

  • i love this car

  • you have a great car and i would like to tell me how did you install those indicators lamp for the oil temperature, oil pressure and for the batery voltage. i have the same car and i would like to intall those gagets olso. thank you very much.

  • Nice car!

  • @GreatUnboxer Thanks man!

  • So what that is -8*C if engine is hot (cooling temp gauge).

BTW. Nice Audi. With my Audi it's almost sisters. Mine is 93, 2,3E, Blue interior, KristalSilver. Mine is from Switzerland too.

  • @spolsztyn

I mean it's too cold for me, but not for the car! =)

I've driven it before I made the video so that the engine would be warm. I'd never rev it up if the engine is cold...

Hehe, nice. Audi 80 are very good cars, it will take you pretty far if you take care of it!

  • @MrLowAltitude

I'm very happy that You take care about your Audi and about her engine (rev it up only on hot engine).

Mine is sentenced for the end of life. My life or her life. :-)))))))

    Salut form Poland

  • @spolsztyn

Those are such good cars, they deserve a bit care ;-)

I hope yours will last another many years!

    Greetings from Switzerland

  • beautiful man ;D i will drive only 5 cylinders ;D

  • @eddiekreiter Danke!

  • Good Bethoven dog:)

  • @wersuss Sadly it was a good Bethoven dog... He became sick.

  • mind what i will say is i have the V6 and the fuel in the UK is £1.29p per litre!! so really im quite screwed over having a bigger engine or even upgrading to a V8 Audi when the government would rather see nice Audi V8's on top of a scrap pile. I can see war in the uk on the horizon

  • nice car dude seems we share the same passions in car and hifi haha greetings from uk. I bought my 99' Audi A4 V6 last year its a rocket for the money and it pretty good overall condition had to tidy a few bits due to last owner trying to be clever although he made a mess of things instead. Was looking for a nice Audi 80 but couldnt find a 2.3E for love nor money. Only the tired old 2.6V6 which is slower than my 2.4. Im looking to go up to the king of all Audi's the Mk1 Audi A8

  • suuper :)

  • @remai79 Thanks! Well, I should make a new video. It has new wheels now (RH ZW1 Cup, 17") and a few other things. =)

  • @MrLowAltitude i bet it looks bad ass with rims huh cuz my dad has this car but it doesnt look cool but with rims i guess it does huh

  • @dgaleno2012 Ye, It does look very nice with cool rims. I have a set of RH ZW1 Cup for the summer, looks pretty sweet!

  • @MrLowAltitude my dad has this car but no rims

  • dude! i want both! the audi and the dog :-D i love berneese dogs and 80s 2,3E :)) sadly the 20V didn't make it into the 80 :( i wonder if the swap would be too expensive.. like can you leave the 10v tranny and so on?

  • @lSairexl Hi and thanks for your comment! well, sadly we had to euthanize the dog, he was sick... The car still exists, but on 17 inch RH-ZW1 wheels =)

You can swap the 10V with a 20V and use the same tranny, it's strong enough and it fits. The best 20V to throw in is the 7A-engine of the Audi 90 and the Coupe. It's the same block so even the engine mounts are the same! There are two YouTube users with a 7A 20V in an 80. "kleinheribert" has one in his Avant and "MSCNemesis" in a Cabrio.

  • @MrLowAltitude sweet .. now i just need the money :D

  • @lSairexl They are not very expensive anymore... But you should get one now, they become rare ;)

  • @MrLowAltitude thanx dude :) i got some money :) but i'm gonna buy an Impreza GT actually :) but it was so hard to decide between 80 competition and the GT

  • Beautifull.

  • very nice Audi/poland

  • Comment removed

  • nice car, sadly not quattro nor 20v though (;

  • @beznazwowiec Yep, Quattro would be nice! The 20V wasn't available in the 80 B4... Sadly!

  • Respect. Try to keep it that way.

  • @D12eams I do! I want to keep it as long as possible because it is a very good car.

  • Looks proper for a car of its age, also I like what you did with those gauges. Gives it a sporty touch and the 2.3 5-cylinder is a really nice engine. I'm pretty jealous.

  • @Nimbili Thanks man! I really like the car. It's old but comfortable to drive, sounds good and in my opinion it looks better than many new cars! What do you drive?

  • bether then new

  • @MsAUDIS3 I like the old Audis better than the new ones!

  • Sounds not bad for an oldie =)

  • i like the dog being added in the video lol.

  • @gravey07 It was a really cool dog, sadly he's dead now, he became sick...

  • really nice car .... and I have a audi 80 2.0 E and I am very pleased .... Audi is simply the best ... greetings ...

  • great audi 80!

  • @zoran487 Thanks!

  • fantastic car, fantastic sound and is in great form i'm so fuckin jealous :P

  • @azbestoss Thanks. They are not very expensive (At least here in switzerland...) but the 2.3E is not easy to find...

  • schöns auto! wiä isch de so im underhalt? tüür?

  • @pinkpixel Danke! Du eigentlech erschtuunlech günschtig. Audi 80 si sehr robuscht baue und hei nume es paar chliini Schwachsteue wo aber nid gravierend si. D Carosserie isch vollverzinks, d.h. roschte tueter au nid. Mine isch jez 17 jährig und het no ke Fläcke Roscht. Der Spritverbruuch isch haut e chli höch, öppe 9-10 Liter bim 5-Zylinder... Aber süsch es super Auto!

  • @MrLowAltitude

ja guet daser viel suuft hani gwüsst....aber mer fahrt ja au ned immer vollgas =) i chaufe ebe eventuel ( wens guet chunt ) de glich wiä dine eifach im cabrio =) hend diä eigentlich alli FWD? oder giz diä au mit AWD?

  • @pinkpixel Ok =)

Ja bim 5-Zylinder muesch normalerwiis nid vougas gä. Mit vorsichtiger Fahrwiis schaffsch 8.7-9 Liter, weniger aber nid. Die alte Motore bruuche haut eifach meh... Aber who cares, derfür tönt er geil! :P

Ds Cabrio isch leider chli schwär (Ca. 1400kg) und drum chli langsamer als d Limo (Ca. 1270kg). Audi 80 gits ou mit AWD, auso Quattro, ds Cabrio gits leider nume mit FWD.

  • i love the car! soo nice!

  • yup thats right mine is an 80...haha i have done my studying to. my underfloor is good to the only thing really wrong with the bottom is the pipe, i have a leak at the back silencer. also my engines mechanical parts are all good i just need to have it cleaned and readone also a little paint here and there. but once she's running warm ,man is it a beuty its smoothe on the highway, the road and good in the snow for a front wheeler. and check this! i only paid 30 bucks lol and its great

  • wow that is in such nice condition, how much did you pick it up for? i have an 87 audi 4000s 2.2 l 10v and it is a beutifull car. mine though has faiding paint and poor engine condition. the only thing i dont like is the interior colour on yours. mine has quartz grey velour interior and it is in nice condition too

  • Hi

Thanks for the comment. I paid nearly 5000 bucks for it but it doesn't just look good, also the engine and the underfloor are in a really great shape.

Actually, your 4000 is a 80 too but the B2 Model, mine is the B4. The 80 B2 was calles 4000 in america. I really like your 4000, it's a classic!

Too bad the engine on yours isn't that good anymore, normally those 5 cylinder engines from Audi are very though.

  • Nice car. I have Audi 80 b4 2.6 liter V6 from 1993. Some dents but no rust, driven only 78000km(!). I intend to keep it in good condition.

  • Thanks Man!

Wow, 78000km? That's pretty few for such a car, take care to it, Audi 80 are great cars!

  • LOVE IT ! 5 cyl POWAAA !!! i've got this car to !!! that's a fucking fucking WONDERFULL CAR . c'est un putin de bonne voiture lol fiable , belle , un mythe , une LEGENDE

  • Thanks man!

Yep, it's a great car, I love it.

  • Excellent car, especially with such 5 cylinder engine which has a very nice sound.

  • Thanks! Audi 80 are great cars, I love it. You drive one too, right?

  • Yes, I drive audi 80 too, only with 4- cylinder engine.

I see you have got thermometer of engine oil.

How much oil gets warm? =)

  • Well, the 4-cylinder is good, it burns less fuel. The 5-cylinder takes around 10-11 liters/100km.

The thermometer comes from an Audi Coupé. It fits perfectly because the Audi 80 B4 and the Audi Coupé B3 (Model 91)have the same center console.

In winter time and with normal driving it gets around 70°C, on the highway around 80°C. I don't know how warm it gets in the summer because I installed the thermometer a month ago...

  • It should be around 90 all time when motor is warm but wind can get to the thermal sensors and lower it by 10-20. So in highway it could be 70-80 celcius. If motor doesnt warm anytime to 90, even at summer - there is a problem with thermostat or cooling water sensor. Also DO NOT revv motor cold - it causes damage in the long term. Someone said when motor is not warm enough at first, keep rpm lower than 3000.

  • Hi

I was talking about the oil temperature, not the coolant. The water nearly always gets 90°C, except if it's really cold outside.

I never rev my engine over 2500 RPMs if the oil is cold, it can increase wearout on the engine because the oil has a higher viscosity if it's cold. As you can see, the engine was well warmed up in my video. ;)
