Every few months I look this up and play it. It is one of the best vids on youtube because it shows what hard work and friendships can accomplish. This is something that these guys can be proud of their entire lives (because it will be available on youtube forever). Much can be learned from this production.

@Teknamatikx9z11 I agree it should be on broadway. I know they were writing it a few months ago. Part of the issue might be there are only 6 songs, which means they need a lot more. (I believe it's 6 songs with a bunch of reprises.)

One word really sums it up: WOW. The arrangements of the music can be a little awkward, but you worked them together so well. Honestly, I didn't think most people remembered this production. You guys did fantastic, great job!

Oh my God. This is really great for an amateur, frat show. (Heck might arguably be better than some parts of the real movie.) I think you've just convinced me "Newsies" could look great on stage. Trained dancers, movable sets ... a love song for you know who ... somebody get Disney Theatrical on this!

I love how people think that "frat" guys can't pull stuff off and they can't do anything. Look around your campuses and you will see fraternity and sorority men and women being the most involved and most prominent people on campus. At my school the greek community is only 8% of the total population but we hold all the highest positions and attend most of the events around campus. These kids probably spent months getting this together! Our frat is doing the newsies for our songfest this year!

These guys did an amazing job - hard to believe that it's a college production! They can be very, very proud of their achievement. I actually think I prefer this to watching the movie. They must have had one hell of a choreographer/dance coach. Are there any articles from the UCI newspaper describing the making of this production or the experiences of the participants?

i was impressed with the dance/acrobatics in seize the day, but the order was so out of wack (once and for all before sieze the day, the world will know before santa fe?) that it threw me off, but not as much as the constant changes in tempo and clashing of pitches did. yikes.
