nope this did not deserve a 10, maybe a 9.9 - she had legs separations twice on her cast to handstands...and it was noticeable...I think the 10 was to make sure Ellen Berger didn't come after them! lol
Stop always sayind bad things about Dagmar. She is a wonderful gymnast and a very nice person. Every video I go to of her you are saying nasty and mean things about her. It is cruel and heartless.
How could you call it impeccable?? She had leg separations on her casts and she had to do a funny, awkward body wave when she landed on the dismount to keep her feet from moving. This was not a 10.00-it was worth at most a 9.90. Silivas' set was visibly superior to the untrained eye even if some won't admit it.
Resplendent! Absolutely perfect! One of the most captivating and memorable compulsory routines of the Olympics along with Daniela Silivas on FX & UB and Svetlana Boguinskaya on BB.
Agreed (even though a few naysayers are giving you and will give me thumbs down but who cares). Dagmar was a great gymnast. But there is no way this routine while excellent compares to Daniela Silivas' glorious set. Daniela's extension, toe point, handstands etc. were superior and her dismount she soared like an angel floating down from the sky.
Dagmar was spectacular at the Olympics! She held together an east German team seemed to disintegrate in team finals. Her optional UB routine was the most difficult but her poise and grace made it seem otherwise. I remember Bart Connor and Mary Lou Retton protesting the 10.00 she got in EF because of a minor step after having held her dismount for ample time! They were so simple-minded and focused on landings. Dagmar was PERFECT!
Whatever a hop is a hop and she should have been deducted accordingly. And besides the GDR should have not won bronze either. Berger cheated for the team, and I do not blame Kersten, but please, it did put a stain on their medals.

I realy never liked her style on bars. She always changed positions. It was a good routine but Daniela deserved her 10 much more.

I dont think it was really a 10 but atleast it was more reasonable as a 10 then her ridiculous EF 10 with more glaring flaws.

This is inferior to Silivas' routine. The dismount is quite pathetic actually. She also a had THREE highly visible mistakes in the EF.

I think it was worth a 9.90, but they gave her a 10 for that hair and gorgeous smile :-)

No-this was NOT absolutely perfect with leg separations on her casts, and an awkward landing.
