They started fixing the shows once CC took over in the early 90s, and it was for safety reasons. In the middle of freestyle if Digger were to flip and got a bad score, then they change their plan and award the win to someone else. Live Nation really makes alot of they guys look like they cant drive as well as they can.

this is all a load of shit. monster jam in not fixed. there are just other trucks that have more money than others, so they drive harder. plus i was at a monster jam in Toronto and Grave Digger never one a single thing all weekend. and no Grave Digger didn't even break. He got out driven, plane and simple. But the four wheeler racing that was at the show was fixed, i will tell you that much.

this stuff and the track layouts are great for sure, better than the Monster Jam layouts, but the freestyle in Monster Jam far surpasses the driver quality in these shows. Meants and Anderson will never be out-done, which is why TV follows them.

I disagree. Meents and Anderson are amazing at destroying trucks. Yes, they are great drivers, but their fans mostly watch because they wreck.

Meants and Digger actually do a very good job at filling the clock. Put Meants on these tracks and he'll out-drive in the racing compeition easily. Same with Anderson. The plus side of both drivers is they both have the money to destroy trucks, so the freestyles are definately more thrilling. But not the point. They both excell over gunslinger, bearfoot, T-Max as drivers.
