Im sorry but when oil prises start to fall the OIl cartel meets under the name of OPEC and decides to CUT supply. This is clearly taking advantage of the market, and in the west we have competition laws to protect against monopolies.. its ashame we dont have such protection against certain countries.

more oil will lower prices as supply nincreases with no increase in demand hence less revenue for the governments which will make stocks lower it will also mean the supplies will run out sooner so how will tey benefit? they will get less money and their oil will dry up sooner increasing production is perhaps the most disastrous remedy for the situation

A barrel of oil at almost $150 sent a signal to all western countries that they have to break their dependence on oil and SOON. Had people not been greedy (western trades/ companies but oil producing countries too) then the price would not of risen that high.

Europeans tax there oil much greater than the US. They are already paying much more than we do. The economic problem is due to Republicans in office for 8 years and deregulation of mortgage institutions.
