It's like he gets hard off science. Has anyone else seen his interviews? He gets so passionate and enthusiastic about space like he's almost about to orgasm. Its a good thing though, but....
Intelligent aliens is hard to buy, we are intelligent because of the very specific things that happend in our evoulution. Over millions of years of evolution, the variables and random mutations that occured over that time are astronomically ridiculous.I challenge any mathamatition to crack this (i recomend algorithm..lol) i'm willing to bet that the number comes out, more than the number of stars in the universe or the number of atoms, witch some how they know? Intelligence is our evolution :D
@Cyor77 You clearly dont know about Drakes equation and you certainly have no grasp of how huge the universe is. Probability says its had to have happened at some point in the universe somewhere else. Though its very possible we're it right now.. but thats like a nanosecond in time.
yeah its all good, But recently, some scientist state that readio waves do not go on and on, the bubble he talks about exands only to a few hundred light years, due to constant expansion, the signal gets to distorted, to torn apart. Imagine if you could transfer a painting on the water surface, eventually all you'll see is blured hues... (Cosmic noise)
Seems like he's saying that by broadcasting lowbrow humor, hillbillies and war footage (along with the nuclear radiation emanating from our test sites and general lack of care for our environment) we would give an intelligent species good reason for coming to that conclusion.
I think that it was a separate note that we are shortening our window of detection by switching over to internet based communications. It would appear as if we destroyed ourselves when the radio waves stop.
I was thinking that at first but I also thought that radio waves were to low of a form of communications for an intelligent species to consider us as a intelligent life form.

science is a form of a narcotic that instead of making you stupidly addicted, increases your intelligence.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
So he's saying we don't meet up to the alien's standards for Intelligent life in till we stop using radio waves?
