producing fireworks with an overall payload/propelant charge uf up to 100g bp or 1.6g flash powder, is totaly legal in all states within the us, in the uk and almost all of europe. selling them or using home made fireworks off private property without a class5 pyrotechnics license is however ilegal.

this firemans script, cleaverly misinforms the public, eg: "making fireworks SHOULD be left up to the experts" this is stated opinion and is not fact.

So true, the materials are deadly, Potassium Nitrate is soooo dangerous if mixed wrong.

potasium nitrate is used in most of the food you eat, in you toothpaste and many of the things you use evry day.

it will not ever instantaniously ignite by itself or in any mixture i know of after 5 years of pyrotechnics experience.

I meant that when KN03 is mixed wrong you can hurt yourself when either heating or igniting the mixture.
