@minerdrc there is no fail at all . You just didn't analyze what he said! In other words we no longer have to send the original voice (elecrical)signal as it is produced over the (telephone) wire we convert it to an optimized numerical format using codecs which is much easier to transmit over distance without loss. It still an electrical signal (Layer 1) but easy to work with . I hope it make sense to you!

Jeremy is a truly amazing teacher, after using his vids I scored 1000/1000 on CCNA, and I just passed with 966/1000 on CCNP Route. Looking forward to SWITCH, and I'll definitely look into Voice certifications in the future. Thanks a million Jeremy, and thank you Cisco for this awesome technology.
