  • Honestly, who doesnt love this movie?

  • Funny note that the guy in the back of the cab is the guy that played raph in the suit and did the voice.

  • i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this when i was a kid!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The song in the background is HOUSE OF THE BLUE DANUBE

  • worst costumes ever?

  • I LOVE BEING A TURTLE!!

  • its a little bit to kiddy for me but i still like it

  • @thumsupwhore Then you must hate the sequel.

  • THATS A TORTOISE!!!

  • My little brother is dressing up as Raphael my favortie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle for Halloween.

  • When I was a kid, I thought the turtles would look silly. Like a guys wearing make up or somthing. But they looked awsome in this movie, it's like their real.

  • does anyone know the font used in 0:37?

  • @theretrogamer14 Probably ITC Machine.

  • On that, all the voices are different, actually.

  • Shredder's voice in the trailer is different to in the actual film.

  • I love how the ninja turtles wear masks. Way to hide your identity, its not like you're a giant turtle or anything.

  • @FearlessHQ there ninjas it's what they wear

  • @FearlessHQ brah, they live in New York City. You can wear anything there and not get a second look. jk

  • RIP Jim Henson

  • the Mutants look so real and this is a 1990 movie wow the detail is way better then to days movies

  • Am I the only one (bet I'm not!) who's glad there's no orchestra or "the dramatic choir" behind this trailer music? Not only would it NOT fit a Ninja Turtles video as well as this funky beat but this synthesizer stuff's the kind of music that was significant for all action movie trailers at the time. I love it!

  • "We have a message for you ms.O'Neil...shut it!" best line along with "big turtle in a trench coat, you goin to La Guardia right?" One of the best comic/show to live action movies.

  • WHATTTTTT FUCKINNNN SONG IS THIS ?!?!?!?!?!?! I BET NO ONE CAN FIND THIS SONG IT'S NOT ON THE SOUNDTRACK IT'S NOT LISTED IN ANY COPYRIGHTS WHAT THE FUCKKKKK THIS IS REALLLY REALLY PISSING ME OFF

  • @Parks2099 relax , here it is, calm down and watch this /watch?v=EpCYmeaH4A4 enjoy!! :) Malcolm Mc Laren-House of the blue Danube

  • does anyone know what song that is in the back round, shit is hotttt please let me know if anyone knows what song it is

  • We're streaming the entire original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, all 193 episodes, all 10 seasons, at 2:30 EST on Saturday at livestream (dot) com/sobelive

  • Shredders voice SUCKS IN THE TRAILER!

  • this was taken from VHS Sky Turtles from the Burger King Kids Club

  • Amazing video!! I love the turtles tons!!! Cept in this video those aren't any of the real voice actors! I just watched the movie too!! Still awesome though:)

  • After I first saw this movie when I was little I thought the Turtles were real.

  • Just watched the film just now and brings back great memories from when I was a kid!! Bit like watching my son with ben 10 now he's obsessed with it :)

  • good

  • I had NO idea Corey Feldman was Donatello!! And I grew up with this movie

  • There the reason I like pizza so much

  • Wow, for a video uploaded in 2006, this is pretty good quality, almost HD like.

  • Jim Henson deserves a lot of credit. Once they stopped using his costumes for the turtles, the movies weren't as enjoyable anymore

  • Cricket? Nobody understands cricket! You gotta know what a crumpet is to understand cricket!

  • This is how you adapt a cartoon/comic to movie. Besides Marvel Studio and Nolan's Batman not many are good.

  • Tortoss! Tortoss!! Tortoss!!!

  • COW WA BUN GA!

  • I remember geeking out like crazy when I was kid over this movie epescially when I saw the trailer..driving my mom crazy as well lol

  • i love been a turtle !!!!

  • i love been a turtle !!!!

  • Here's my opinion on all 4 of the TMNT films: TMNT - relates to the comics. TMNT2 - to much like the 80s cartoon. TMNT3 - waste of time. TMNT(2007) - keeps the dark tone of the comics.

  • Anyone else notice that the voices of Shredder and the turtles are just temporary ones? The ones in the actual movie sound nothing like this.

  • @LeeVogler or that most of th efootage of the first 20 seconds isnt in the movie.. like them floating

  • 21 years and this is STILL an awesome movie.

  • When is a new movie comming? it is about time!

  • Hey dudes, this is NO cartoon!

  • 1:23 foot didnt see it coming 1:24 my fav line in the movie

  • Comment removed

  • Chuck Norris once swallowed 4 turtles whole, and when he crapped them out they were 6 feet tall and had learned Karate.

  • I must've seen this movie a million times. I love it!

  • the people who worked on these costumes look like they've made the barney costumes too

  • @pacrox2 not at all. Barney has been a joke since it started. The person that made these costumes was the all mighty Jim Henson who died after the second TMNT film was made which is why in the third TMNT the costumes suck. Jim Henson is credited with also making the Muppets and Sesame Street puppets

  • @pacrox2 He also made Fraggle Rock's puppets too. Just found out he was actually the creator of the Muppets and not just of the puppets

  • I still have it on VHS and plays fine

  • Did this movie remind anyone else of "Howard the Duck"? lol

  • diff voices for sure lol

  • Tune in next week for Geriatric Irradiated Porcupines.

  • this is weird, the voices seem off from actual movie

  • This movie defines the entire 90s

  • i used to have this on vhs lol

  • When I was a kid back when this came out (5 years old) I thought this movie was so dark and awesome and kept this memory... only to realize once I saw it again during adulthood that it's actually cheezy as hell... and pretty shitty! :D good times.

  • I loved being a kid in the 80's/90's

  • 31 ppl didn't love being a turtle

  • Watching this when I was 8 was the most epic moment of life at that point.

  • I watched this a couple nights back and it's just as great as I remembered.

  • This movie is proof that practical effects are a million times better than CGI. This movie still REALLY holds up today. Not only do you believe that the turtles and Splinter are there, but you're able to empathize with them. Tell me you weren't sad when the turtles show up at April's when Splinter was gone.

Avatar had to pull out a lot of stops to even get me to believe that the Navi were people, let alone get me to care...

  • @ZyxthePest I didn't. The biggest fucking problem for me is the fact that humans can't live on their planet and are only there to strip mine it, yet they resort to send in ground troops when, they could just shoot asteroids at it, kill everything from space, and then safely land and take the minerals they want.

  • @ZyxthePest Yes, you took the words right out of my mouth.

  • @ZyxthePest- Ya I was never interested in Avatar, its like watching a computer, not a movie, this is a real movie, from the 20th century when there was good movies

  • @ZyxthePest another great practical effects is 'the return of swampthing' as far as swampthings make up and the giant leach creature.

  • @ZyxthePest but at least in avatar their mouths move properly and at the right times

  • @ZyxthePest I think good CG will always beat good animatronics. I think most people want to hate on CG because they want to believe it's a cop out effect, or is often used when the writing is clearly lacking - but well done CG will ALWAYS win as far as being more convincing than puppets.

  • @robohobo Right..... Um no. Avatar is about as good as it gets, and it looked totally synthetic.

  • Still my favorite movie.... too bad they killed the appeal of TMNT with all the crappy sequels and crappy cartoon shows. THIS is the TMNT I fell in love with. The movie that made me have my mom buy all the toys and memorvilia for. I think I still have my original VHS of this movie xD Unfortunately, I think I still have the other 2 movies on VHS as well. Such crappy sequels.

  • This owns your mother and your father...but not...the turtles in threnchcoats.

  • This is a terrible trailer. But this movie was sick. When this movie came out I waited 2 HOURS in line with my mom because the theatre was so packed I couldn't get in.

  • I loved this movie as a kid, and it still makes me smile to this day. It's funny, exciting, has a great sound track, packed with martial arts, and is even touching in several scenes(the scene with the boy and his father near the end still moves me). All in all, a great movie.

  • I remember not getting to see it on the first day because it was sold out... and also remember this trailer vividly. This was the best of the TMNT films, it was only downhill after it. I'm hoping and wishing that the 2011 reboot is faithful to the vibe and spirit of this and the original comics... no point not to, the kids today haven't gotten as into the Turtles as we did. Make it for us, the older generation, we're the ones that will pay to see it.

  • i was baptised with a raphael mask on because of the ninja turtles movies!

  • I LOVE BEING A TURD!

  • First ever movie i saw at the cinemas when i was a kid! :D love it!

  • when i 1st saw this in theaters they had a pizza eating contest because of the film i could have won if my mom would have let me enter lolol but thank to the tmnt i love pizza to this day

  • trailer (and unused dubs aside) this footage should have propagated (or precipitated) your obsession with good movies.

watch black swan and battle: los angeles, and this movie will reaffirm your commitment not only to movies, but to life in general

    woot, i love everybody

  • Mikey: I love being a Turtle!

  • even for todays standards the puppeteering for the tmnj was amazing, so life like. beats the hell out of any animated versions.

  • I can't believe this movie is 20 years old. I remember my mom taking me and my brother to see it in the theater...

  • this beats the shell out of the cgi movie!

  • mikeys voice is shit !! wtf is this bs

  • @EliDeli21 what are you, 12? if mikey sounds any different than this in any other tmnt version then they are shit.

  • @android17ak47 I think he was referring to the fact that for the trailer of this movie, they didn't use the actual voices of the people that voiced them in the actual movie. For some reason they used different voices for the trailer. I love Mikey's voice for these movies

  • @Summerslam96 oic, well my sound card is fried on my computer so I couldnt hear anything.

  • @EliDeli21 I accidentally gave you a thumbs up. The voices in the trailer aren't their real voices throughout the actual movie. If that's what you're talking about then I understand where you're coming from.

  • I loved the part where Raph got his Sai back and saved April. CLASSIC!

  • It would be cool if they put the original turtle movies back on the big screen.

  • 31 kids who did not grow up in the late 80's early 90's

Wow I've not seen this since thetrailer was brand new.. I got goosebumpbs..

Lean, green and on the screen. that was like important wording for me when i was a kid

  • These guys are AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • This are the real turtles!

  • So glad they changed all the voice overs in the final production.

  • i love the turtles, but thought the cgi movie was best

  • @simwalk100 ermmm :/

  • haha man I love the ninja turtles. I have Mikelangelo slippers, and I quote this movie all the time. None of my friends know what I am talking about. I am 16 and I am very old school... but that is okay, because I think the movies and music made back before I was born was a heck lot better than what it is now. except the movies are kinda awesome. But the music, heck yes it was amazing back when Blondie was popular. I wish I was born in the 60's!

  • i never even thought a live action movie was possible!!!

    turtle KICK ASS!!!!

  • Here are things I want to see in the reboot.

    1) Costumes, not CGI

    2) Non-star voice actors (get people like the casual cartoon voice actors, not a celebrity)

    3) No corny jokes.

    4) Comic-book oriented.

  • O.O; th-th-that wasn't Corey Feldman or Robbie Rist...probably pre-production ^_^;;

  • I grew up with this!

  • need a new sequel

  • man it's so awesome there so many movies in history that changed the way movies where made in film making

Superman the Movie in the 70's

    Terminator in the 80's

teenage mutant Ninja turtles in the 90's

and then Aviator in the 2000's

I think those movies changed the way movies where made

  • @5648378 why is leonardo di caprio's The Aviator a film changer?

  • @shadowwolfz Leonardo DiCaprio was not in Aviator dumb-ass!!!!

  • @5648378 uh, yes he was. search the aviator leonardo di caprio

  • @5648378 or were you referring to AVATAR, not Aviator

  • @shadowwolfz yeah dude I kind missed spelled it

  • @5648378 no problem, but now you owe me an apology

  • I love this version I like the CGI TMNT too but this is too cool

  • April was hot!

  • At 1:20 you can see part of the guy playing the turtles neck.

  • Best part is 1:20.

  • The infamous trailer of awesomness.

  • Off in the distance, the game's dragging on,

There's strikes on the batter, some runners are on.

Then suddenly everyone's looking at me

My mind has been wandering, what could it be?

They point at the sky and I look up above

And a baseball falls into my glove

I play right field, it's important you know

You gotta know how to catch, you gotta know how to throw,

That's why I play in right field, way out where the dandelions grow

  • @Batman8657 Pizza Hut FTW!

  • @Batman8657 As a proud sponsor of little league baseball pizza hut welcomes all the kids who make it great. makin'it great. Damn what a flasback. I remember that from the old vhs.

    Bravo sir.

  • @Batman8657 Ah... The Pizza Hut commercial from the VHS's. ^w^ I'm glad I still have all 3 of them. I think I'll watch them now! :D

  • @Batman8657 holy shit i remember that commercial !

  • @Batman8657 Why have a commercial for Pizza Hut if you use Domino's?! Lol.

  • @Batman8657 love that song

  • Why are the enemies asian?

  • @CuzWeWereBored

    cause ninja's are asians

  • Thumbs up if April O'Neill got a train ran on her by anthromorphic turtles

  • bad choice of music

  • the only correct voices in this are the cab driver and passenger!!

  • 1:27-1:29 Specail effects of the 90's. Good times.

  • what the Hells up with Shredder's voice in this

  • I didn't like that they showed the turtles.

  • i like them in live action. It makes me laugh :-D

But i am not laughing on the CGI movie x-(

Warner brothers how dare you make a CGI movie of this

  • MICHELANGELO: Yes dudes and dudettes, major league butt-kicking is back in town!!!

  • Whoever had the idea to change there voices, two words for that man... THANK YOU!!

AND WHOEVER WANTS ME TO SAY THANK YOU THE WRITER OF THIS MOVIE "BOBBY HERBECK " LET ME KNOW, I KNOW HIM PERSONALLY.. ;) BEST MOVIE OUT OF THE 4

  • @zapp6823 I dont think they had the voice work done for it when the preview was released so they probably went with who ever was sitting around the studio that day

  • Best fucking trailer ever!! I remember to be so hyped up to watch this movie after watching this commercial back in the day.

  • i love the ninja turtles

  • What is it about this trailer, i still get chills watching it, i guess the TMNT are just that awesome!

  • Yeah....none of these characters voices are the same in this trailer as they were in the film...odd.

  • I love these movies :)

  • George St Pierre saw this movie when he was 8, took up karate under the tutelage of Chuck Noris, and is now one of the best pound for pound MMA fighters in the world. True story :)

  • This is my favorite Ninja Turtles movie

  • I like turtles! oh wait it is not a random comment here!

  • Why did they redub it for the commercial?

  • @Padman064 I think that was the first dub, like you hear tutsu's real voice. they redubbed it for the film.

  • This is my 2nd most favorite movie of all time..

  • @daywalker3x3 your first favorite being? just wondering...

  • @Welcome2Da77 Batman with michael keaton/jack nicholson. best batman movie ever!

  • I can't believe i now own all three movies. all for $15.00. And i enjoy all of them. their better then the crap thats coming out today and their not all in

3D!!!! >_> I hate 3D. weren't we in this 3d craze in the 90s and it didn't turn out so well??? DON"T WE LEARN ANYTHING FROM HISTORY?!?

    I miss the 90s.

  • The fact this movie was released 20 years ago makes me feel old

  • @TexasLibra know the feeling

  • Jim Henson and his people we true wizards.

  • Now this is legendary

  • Picked up the DVD for $5 @ WalMart. The last time I watched this was about 15 years ago when I was 6. It was cool seeing it again... I didn't remember anything from this film however everything just started popping back in my head during each scene. I never realized this film was very dark but hey, if you grew up watching this and Tim Burton's Batman then it's normal to you.

  • this was so much fun in my youth !

  • haha they obviously hadn't found voice actors yet..

  • I love watching this trailer!!!

    (and the whole movie, too)

  • Nice editing on this trailer.

  • I hope whoever did those initial voices were fired without pay!

  • Mikey's voice is all weird at the end when he says "I love being a turtle" must have been a different voice actor

  • just epic awesomeness yeahh

  • Brings back great childhood memories....remember seeing this on the first day it came out....TURTLE POWER!!!!

  • This movie is awesome, one of my all time favs, the music, the costumes, the attitude, the seriousness, the jokes YEAH!!!!!!

  • I like it when mikey says "I love being a turtle" at 1:24

  • awesome movie and 0.22 ... yeah i know...

  • My bro entered us into a newspaper competition to win tickets to see this before the release date. We won! Along with 2000 other people:> 4 tickets each. I still remember there were four cinemas, each with a different turtle outside. While waiting, my bro's friend dared someone to pull off Raph's head when we passed. Anywho, I've still got my green vhs copy of Turtles.. It's GREEN :O

  • @ThrobnWood I had that green cassette too. Unfortunately it got eaten by my old VHS player, so I smashed it in with a hammer!
