Tombstone has become like our second home since we started going there 5 yrs ago. we make the trip 1100 miles from our texas home out there about twice a year. It it "touristy" but if you get to know the local people they are some of the nicest anywhere. treat them nice and they will treat you nice. get into the atomosphere. don't miss the ghost tour at the crystal palace, the theatrical show at the OK Corral,( if you have ever seen it before it is all new.. ) do the birdcage ghost tour also.
i love the old west since i have been a little boy. I love john Wayne. i am member of his birtplace society. I love the U.S because of some rights we don't have in europa , and that is to own firearms.
Going to hunt, its more liberal as at us and the right to defend yourself with a gun is good!!! i hope we can do this in the future!!
Still one of my all-time favorite places to go and visit. tourist trap-you betcha. But I'd still go back dozens of times 'cauz it's fun to go back in time
allways wanted to hit Toombstone, , uuuuuum, where do u sleep? any sleepn quarters in town? (I mite hit the bar, hehehehhehe), Where id Deadwood? in the Dakotas?
It is a modern town with all the stuff you need, it's just the area of town that dates back to those days has it been blocked off from traffic. The street has been covered over with dirt.
It is just great to hear the naration from the great Robert Mitchum, stared in many Western movie, the story its self NO Hollywood writer could think of this time reality is greater than fiction.
Good job showing the old with the new photos. Back in 1881 most buildings did not have paint on them. The Bird Cage to this day is the only building on Allen street that survived the fires. History at it's best !
hey wyatt , is that you wyatt!!!
